Im about 50miles west of kitty h. and im staying. Im not even worried
Party-time! Charging multiple sets of batteries right now, plan to not do much work tomorrow, since it will be too wet to do anything work related until Monday. Think i'll just play in the shop and work on the Bud Toaster.
Probably turn off all the computers Saturday (unless i can intend Irene further east), which means the humongous battery backup will be available to run the well pump, refrigerator and microwave -- and recharge batteries.

Prepping now because i sit right on the northeast side of a southeast facing cove on the western shore of the chesapeake, water tends to pile up in these coves on our side. Lasts big one we had here was Isabelle and the water got pretty close to the house with a 9 foot storm surge. Not as much worried about wind, just flooding.

I missed it by only a little, i got here on the west coast just a few days ago. Im very lucky to not be there. However, my things(though high enough to not be flooded), my dog and my father are all on the east coast back home in NY. I hope they make it alright, i dont know exactly what areas need evacuating.

I was hoping to get fully blasted and go to the grocery store for funny photos however my parents who live in Long Island are going to stay over which is fine except it cancels out getting blasted... I'll have to hide my vapes, bong and stash as well. I don't want to have to hear "Jeffrey I thought you were long past this.. at your age enough is enough with the marijuana...""

Bloomberg just issued a mandatory evacuation in parts of New York City and will shut down the whole transit system. This has NEVER been done before.........ever. Evacuate parts of New York City? What a fucking nightmare. I don't know if there's ever been a mandatory evacuation order given to an area that is so densely populated.

Well i am in Maine. Maine seems to be the last of Irene's path in the US, then she's Canada's problem!

I just realized now, looking at that map, that we could see this...I'll have to do some more local research, but I haven't heard anything about local evac plans, or any thing like that.
Looking at the model posted earlier in this thread, and reading numerous local forecasts, I have figured out it won't be so serious when it gets to me, most likely.
Either way, it's to the dispensary for me on saturday, down to the coast to visit family saturday evening, and come back home sunday for the 'show'. I'm right in the center of the state, so I should see something I suppose.
My only real plans I guess, are stock up on the green, edibles, and tincture. and now that I think of it, I might have my first day of class canceled, if the weather gets serious enough.

How to get batteries indeed! I don't even have my launch box, and I'm kind of regretting that now...I do have a pipe, but really prefer to no use that so much. Tinctures and edibles will do though...So if you can't find any batteries Sour, just make some edibles with some abv...assuming you have some
