It got a lot of use last night. I'm really happy with it. I love how the flavor from the wax comes through in the hit.

Look who just got their hands on a Purpleheart dugout from Ed! As I'm sure anyone who has bought something from Ed already knows...this thing is gorgeous. Exactly what I was hoping for when I asked him to make it. Very solid...with a nice feel to my skin. No picture will ever do it...

@ilb Yah...that's pretty normal...though it has yet to get hot enough that I couldn't hold it at all...it is certainly not like the SSV in that you can't just leave it on 24/7.

@Magic9 Get yourself a babysitter. A trusted(this is the important part) friend who will stay sober(ish) and has had experience with the substance in question is best. They can really help to bring you back to a calm place if things start to get weird.

The LSV gets hot after a while. If you have it on a high setting (like 80% power) and leave it sitting either in it's carry bag (while open of course) or on a pot holder, it will get decently hot to the touch after 20 - 30 min or so. I have never had it get to the point where I couldn't still...

I'm so glad I went with the guitar knob. It has worked out better than I even expected. So consistent now. I usually set it to 5 to start with...then two hits, stir, turn knob half a digit, repeat. Now that I have all my LSV issues sorted...and have been able to use it for a couple weeks...
