I’m not referring to the stem. I’m talking about the interior glass tube the separates the wood from the heating chamber. It sits outside of the metal sleeve.

So it looks like I’ve somehow cracked the glass insert. Any solutions or suggestions for a new one? I think it would be silly to order from the TM site for just the glass insert but if that’s my only option, so be it.

Exactly. There was a bit of oxidation on the battery cap but very minor. I’m not a heavy user so I don’t think the battery is failing. It could be the heating coil just needs to be recalibrated after a few months of usage.

I haven’t disassembled the TM but I did clean the CU and battery as suggested. I used the unit last night after doing the above and it seems to be working better. I think the battery contacts were the issue.

Amen to that. I heard it took someone 5 weeks to get a response. I’m genuinely curious why the unit is losing its strength. Also, if anyone has the info on tweaking the settings they could always send them to us directly in a private message. That would keep things relatively honest.

So it isn’t just me. I’m hesitant to send it back as I’ve heard CS is struggling at the minute. Are you getting the same issue where you feel like it’s just lost it’s umph?

Well I just broke my short stem while cleaning it with ISO. Glass + ceramic sink + butter fingers = broken I’ve contacted TM to see about getting a couple replacements. In the mean time are there any sites where I could order a similar replacement??

Mine sailed right through customs after a brief “hold”. Shipped last Thursday and arrived today.

Just received my TM I took things apart to give them a nice clean. Quick question: Which way is the internal screen supposed to be oriented. Is the thicker metal ring supposed to face up or is it the thinner/wider side up?
