Yeah my unit has updated firmware. I had received it back from Haze and they replaced the battery and oven part of the Square. My first unit didn't make the noises but this one does. Oh well. Works better than my first one so it's a minor gripe.

My Square makes a buzzing noise when shut off so it's definitely depleting the battery when not in use. It does charge fast so it's not a huge issue.

Try holding the buttons like you are going to update the firmware and it should reset it. That's how mine would charge.

If you alter the file name the square won't recognize it. I did that once.

You can try holding all the buttons until the LED turns blue and that resets it I think. Like if you were going to update firmware.

If the Square could somehow have an integrated stirring mechanism that would help with extraction immensely. Stirring is almost required with convection ovens. Maybe the microdose pods will eliminate the need to open up a pod and give it a stir.
