Hiya all, just some fyi bits. Exhaust pipes and/or knife blades are made of steel though [which isn't anodized]. Anodizing is for aluminum [and titanium], a controlled [few-molecule deep] layer of oxide. Yes. Anodizing is tough but steel wool, acids, abrasion, etc. would remove the layer...

Super clean out the area first, make sure it's not just old resin clogging up the airways. Then heck yeah, file the notches, if it's needs it. I just now cleaned out the screen in my M which opened it up a bit. I've also needle-filed the notches a tiny bit on this thing.
