Not a standard 18650, but a protected 18650.

I would recommend against purchasing batteries off a random seller on Amazon. There are many fakes out these days. Best to purchase from a trusted vendor.

The Haze uses a protected battery which is slightly longer than a standard 18650. Your best bet is to buy the official replacements.

The battery compartment is not sealed. A venting battery would vent through the holes where the LED shines through. It should not be able to build up enough pressure to turn into a pipe bomb.

I didn't realize the D2 only did .5A charging. If I was you I would consider XTAR. They make great chargers as well and this one does 1A.

AFAIK the only difference between I and D are the screen. Get the D2. edit: here is a link to a D2 sold and fulfilled by Amazon. Much less likely to be fake, and should be the latest model.

The haze batteries are also longer due to the protection circuit.
