I've decided to order a new dimmer switch from 7th Floor for $25 (plus $20 shipping) as it saves having to send my vape overseas and is also a lot cheaper than buying a new unit. Hopefully the switch is as easy to install as they say.

As far as I'm aware you need to skin or at least partially skin batteries for them to work with the MFLB. But yeah, I do find that I have to twist the Eneloop batteries to get them to make full contact sometimes. Other than that they work great. Thanks for the suggestions.
