The reclaim is decarbed from the heat its subjected to when it hits that nail/skillet..so yes, its heat activated and ready to go. However, if you let it sit for a couple weeks UNCOVERED your alc will evaporate and you will be left w oil. Everclear and 151 aren't the most palatable stuff in...

I first strain through a regular collander, dump, line my colander w 50micron Stainless Steel screen. Never ANY particulates in my butter. My colander is stainless as well..the handles rest on top of the rim of my 10 gallon brew pot. Works well.
