I've yet to make some BHO but it's first on my list of new toys to get. An idea randomly popped in my head...would it be possible to make a 14mm GG adapter that could fit on your bong that could accept the butane canister so you could turn your bong upside down, strap on a filter and have a glass BHO apparatus? Or is there a ton of pressure or something and you need a stronger material?

Here is a much safer option:

http://www.etsy.com/view_transaction.php?transaction_id=27488672

I've only done a few BHO runs but with some fail results. One time with good trim grinded up. The next time was good bud that I stacked whole nugs in. I did it like online BHO places recommend into a pyrex dish. I got like .1 both times. I dried out the whole bud and vaped it after because it still had plenty thc left.

The one thing I did notice that was off was that butane was spurting out the top hole. Even with the plastic nub, it wasn't airtight so butane kept sneaking out.

It gets expensive so I've been hesitating on runs lately and using high quality iso hash but I want to try it again.

Any suggestions anyone?

Awesome new rig azn!

Sounds like you're packing too tight if a lot of butane is coming out of the top, idk though. How tight do you pack it?

just enough so there's little resistance when i push it in, it gets gunked up bad after it's done

ill probably try with good bud again and grind it up first

the guy i bought the glass extractor from said i don't need a filter in it, wont weed spray through?

My version of the Abyss Glass - Handheld Vapor Globe Pipe at Aqualab.

A Glass Vapor Genie Globe.

I find the restrictive air path to be beneficial, providing more vapor less air.

You do realize these have been around for years as Ti curves, originally invented/designed by Hashmastakut? These guys just ripped off the idea and renamed them "skillets" in an attempt to make them look like their own idea. I wouldn't be surprised if they didn't have nibs to hold a Ti or SS screen either.
You're kidding right? That's like saying every bong company that came after Graffix was a rip off. Labworx has never taken the credit for Ti they just made them sturdier/nicer and available to the masses. Hashmasta has never made a glass piece that I've seen. I guess their lazer cut screens are a rip off too? Think you need to purge your bho a little more bro!

That's too funny, I have been waiting for someone else to call this out, every MJ board online has posts like the one above, if he didn't want people to copy it maybe he should have kept it to himself. But in the long run eveything gets copied, can you Kut disciples imagine if there was only one choice of Car or PC?

I don't see any problem with Labworx, they are even made in the USA. Another good choice is the Vaporswing which even has colabs with famous blowers like Alex K & Lurch.

To be fair, HMK does blow glass now, I own 3 of his curves.. And he does make them available to to the public now, I was able to get mine without wait

420DU was just making sure credit was given where credit was due. And honestly, I'd buy a kut over a skillet anyday, for reductions, shape, work, and quality put into each piece. I think people think that HMK charges a lot more than he does.. and of course there are alternatives, nobody is stopping you from buying them. But I'm telling you, if you had a kut and a skillet side by side (or any other curve for that matter), you'd be reaching for the kut all day.

Why does credit due every time someone mentions one of the mainstream brand of curves? I am not trying to be a troll, I am just saying, this is the Internet, these people don't even know Kut personally.

I am not going to lie and say I have tried the Kut but I have tried the other 2 brands and I don't see how the Kut can hit any better. Most usually have the same reply "you just have to hit one to see the difference" I could see if we were talking about the whole Kutpipe but that is not the case, we are talking about a bent glass tube with a bell on the end. If the tubing diameter/bore is the same, at the end of the day when all is said and done, each curve is going to hit pretty much the same, it's just common sense.

And as far as quality goes, a picture is worth a thousand words, the shaping and work on the ones I have seen are in another league and no Internet product prophet is going to tell me differently. People should really stop referencing his shaping considering the shape changes so much from batch to batch I don't know how a self proclaimed glass lover like you could even mention the shaping on a technical level since they change so much from batch to batch, when you think about it, perfect shaping must not be necessary because of this were the case it would be all over the boards. I know what some are going to say on that note. "...but this is art, it's supposed to be different" Well I will agree that it is nice to have unique color work on glass but when the shape is different, then it contradicts what you and everyone says about how the shape being so essential.

I'm pretty sure you are thinking to yourself "Hmm, this guy has some pretty good points" but if not feel free to read my post again to let it all sink in.

Just for visual reference here is a Vaporswing, (not mine, picture hijacked from Google) notice the nice welded titanium plate, I don't see why some view the welded plate is a negative considering I can't recall seeing a anyone mention that they like don't like clean welds on their glass, so why not on their Ti,

The general shape is the same. Bends in the tubing with reductions. It keeps more reclaim in the curve and less in your piece. I'd pick a kut over that any day, but I digress... Ignorance is bliss.

I'm not going to argue with you man.. whatever you believe is what you believe, I think it's been argued enough throughout the thread. I once thought the same thing as you.. but my kut curves made my whole BHO experience better, from heating that Ti to reclaiming...

-$0.02 from a "self proclaimed glass lover"

lol

EDIT: PS, people never liked the fact that they weld SS to the Ti that we're dabbing off of... unless they have changed to Ti rod

I didn't mean any offense by the glass lover comment, sorry if you took it differently then it was intended, who could deny that you are a glass enthusiast considering your collection and the tag line under your user name.

The Vaporswings come in other styles than the one above, but the thing about the Kut curves is variance, some have reductions and some not at all, I have looked through the whole thread on Toke City.

The Ti plate is welded with Ti to a Ti arm, I think they changed that a while back, and they even say on the Website they use grade 1 titanium. Most companies for any general titanium products use grade 2 which is commercially pure anyway, grade 1 seems to be used mostly in surgical implants.

No grade two is the better stuff grade 1 isn't even supposed to be smoked off of according to all the glass blowers and people that know what they're talking about. Kabley and WBM both use grade 2 as well as dosa, blazemaster, and hmk.

The shaping on hmks curves is generaly the same now if you look at azns 3 curves and 420du's. You can see the pinches in the glass that restrict airflow and make it a less airy hit. And also helps the reclaim. You really wouldn't think that it makes that much difference but it does. He's been making them longer than anyone else so he knows the little tricks. He was the first to run screens as well.

At the end of the day they'll all do the same thing. To me the labworks ti is too thin and too small so it will loose heat faster than I'd like. If you have a labworks and your fine with it, cool I'm glad but if you ever get the chance to hit a hmk on the same setup you'll see the difference. There's a reason there's devoted followers of hmk.

Why are people buying used bells when they can get reasonably priced sik pieces at socal-labworx.com? Their G2 Ti is way nicer and they have an all glass piece now! Thanks for inspiring HMK!

Next time try leaving the glass cap off one end and zip-tie a coffee filter on intead, this will allow for more flow so the fluid doesn't try to escape by reaching the bottom and head straight back up to the other hole.

Although tubes are usually considered a tad big for bho hits the super low drag on this baby makes up for it. I can use so little lung power and keep going for a long time on some of the longer hits. I get zero escaped smoke, lots of pull. The whole setup is perfectly level too, which is always a plus. My BHO experience is now exponentially better.

Doing business with HMK was great too. Super legit in general. Yeah.
