Yeah! It would work to connect to water, just wouldn't have the close baskets that a lot of people enjoy using. But if you're more of a big bowl packer, then the flat screens are fine in a m2m like the one you posted!

I bought a 25 pack of screens on ebay 3/4"

I hope they are big enough to do the trick if i need to pack a smaller bowl?

So in effect I have already got the tools to do the DDAve mod?

If I still had my Silver Sufer I would probably get a DDave mod kit for it!

No because DDave's mod has the metered airflow in his special M2M with his basket screens. The basket screens sit at the tip of the m2m so you can load less.

You basically just have a M2M with a flat screen. Full open airflow and large bowls.

Thank you for your help. I am sorry i am so thick!
So let's say I put in a flat screen and then a basket on top of that. Then does that do the "ddave" trick?

I don't mind buying the kit from him, it just seems like i have all the parts alrady!

I think the part I don't get is what metered means, really, but if that belongs in another thread, please tell me and i'll stop cluttering LSV thrad with this.

yes, buy an extreme q elbow screen and pop it into your m2m. ddave mod done! metered airflow, cool, but just draw less, enjoy.

metered here means, smaller hole to restrict the flow. most m2m are wide open so you can really rip through. slower draw speed however results in higher temperature with the lsv. some ppl might have troubles adjusting their draw speed manually.

First of all, it's a regular M2M that fits into an 18mm Female end of your water piece, and the other end goes into the LSV to connect it to water.

Next, the DDave mod has Metered Airflow, meaning, it has a smaller center in order to reduce airflow, to help produce thicker vapor and hold better flavor (less airy).

Thirdly, the M2M comes with his unique basket screens. These screens are SUPER SUPER easy to pop in and out because they are custom made and have a lip that catches on the edge of the M2M. These basket basically clip into the M2M that he makes, making micro loads very easy (about .04-.07), which also pushes the herb closer to the heater (because it's at the tip of the m2m, and not at the bottom like the regular flat screens), which gives a more even, stronger extraction with ease.

It is also important to note that the basket screens can be removed, and you can use a regular flat screen at the bottom of the M2M for larger bowls, just as you would in the stem, but through water instead.

Any questions, just ask and I can specify further if needed!

@DDave does that about cover it?
@AJS covered like a pro.

PM sent. Have an opportunity for you....

So my only question I still don't get is is the LSV actually a different performing vape than the SSV? I mainly got rid of my SSV because I would rather stay 100% glass on glass and avoid plastic tubing.

Performance wise, yes, the internals are the same, but all glass vaporpath instead. Much better option for us glass heads. Plus super easy to connect to water. Silicone is gross imo :)

COOL. Sounds like maybe I made the right choice moving from ssv to lsv.

However I have 3 vapes all showing up monday morning courtesy of usps so i may be a bit overwhelmed with options for a while.

Anyone got a preferred use for their lsv over stuff like a LOG vape or a EVO?

Darn it, I missed my chance to edit my last post.

If i buy ARIZER EQ screens will they fit in my 18 male to 18 male adapter?

I am just wondering if it's actually cheaper in the long run to buy the ddave kit but then i have 3 screens and who knows how fast i can lose those?

I need a screen press.

edit: Do i need screens for the official LSV 14/18mm adapters or do those have some kind of glass screen built in? The LSV official video has about seconds total of LSV + water pipe usage! not useful enough :(

My lsv wpa came with a regular flat ss screen seated in the adapter when I bought mine. I always used the eq baskets with m2 m to get load closer to heat.

How long from cold for a LSV to get to optimal vaping temp?

I know vapes usually work better when they're warmed up and not just getting to temp from cold...

Why would you like this over the evo? Just curious. I think flavor on 7th floor vapes are top notch. But I thought evo beat it out on everything else.

I used to get quicker/fatter hits from my SSV than I ever can with my evo

My evo works great but it's like driving an automatic(EVO) vs. a manual(7TH FLOOR)? I just like the extra control...

sometimes im just sitting there with the evo being like alright... how long until the next hit...

I like your analogy. The more I use vaporizers the more I enjoy the ones that require a certain level of skill for optimal performance.

That evo might not be functioning good cuz when I sit with my evo I'm like stop not another hit! I sold my lsv and don't even touch my ssv..I think 7th floor has flavor game on lock, but that's about it to me.

The power is most certainly there with the right technique. Flavor, check. Power, check. 2 minute heatup, check. Multiple, easy uses, check. Best airflow possibly in the business????? check!

Not saying its not a powerhouse and all that..im vomparing it to the evo which is an automatic powerhouse..full giant hits as big as you want..

This is the closest thing i have found to the EV-2 but i still think the EV-2 is bettter!
EV-2 has a slightly quicker curve to vapor productin.

It's like exponenital (EV2) versus linear (LSV).

Both are great and I will keep.

The best way to use these is with a GONG straight into your water piece. Get an adapter with a pinch
screen and use that to hold a screen in place. Can't beat it.

I have not used the direct transfer wands at all yet, i will give it a shot but the ev2 is the only vape i am truly happy to dry vape start to finish with, at least as far as desktops go. usually for Desktops i go for power so i want more vapor output than you can possibly intake at once...... god praise whoever decided to distill smoke thru water

Anyway the LSV will be my worsehorse and my EV2 will be my baby

I love 'em all! I'll use the Evo when I am serious. I'll use the SSV when I want to get smashed. That wand can hold so much it can seem ridiculous, but oh how I love it!

Pretty much same here my man!!!! Exceptthat I only use the Evo with friends. The evo is for when friends come over, want to smoke a J, and won't be satisfied with any of my other vapes. The evo keeps everyone happy.

When I stop having friends the Evo can beat it! :argh::argh::argh::argh::argh::argh::argh: well that may be a bit harsh but we will see.
