Totally scored an almost new Mighty and cooling unit for £145 here in the UK - That's a great deal.

Any headline tips for a newbie who doesn't wanna read 240 pages?

Brand new Mighty....vibration already hit and miss! Oh well! This thing keeps impressing me more and more!

Seriously, as an old school one snap bong ripper, loading the bowl with .25g of top shelf, 210c, and using ratchett's SonG adapter, this is heaven on earth for me. Videos to follow!

EDIT: For the MUZZMOD - what about JB Weld "high heat"?

I have to pay closer attention to my new one...I think the vibration has been consistent, but it's not a tool that tends to accompany clear-headed activity. My 12xxx unit definitely was hit-or-miss with it from the start....often doesn't vibrate when you change the temp after it hit a previous target while still turned on.

Though frankly, I could give a rat's ass about this feature. It alarms my dogs if it goes off while on the coffee table, fools my wife into thinking her phone has vibrated, and eats up battery life. I'm competent enough (just barely) to look at the screen and see what the temp is. :p:nod:

Hey all, I'm heading on a domestic flight within Australia and will be taking my Mighty in my carry on luggage (i don't have checked baggage allowance)
Any body had any experience when traveling through security?
Should I take it out of my bag and tray it like a laptop?
Thanks in advance for any info.

(pot and such is illegal in Oz)

Don't do it mate. Our airports are patrolled by passive detection dogs in the arrival and departure halls and active detection dogs in the baggage areas. One of my mates was on a flight last month where every passenger got screened as they came off the plane.

Thanks for the advice, I'm flying to Tas and they're strict regarding any plant and fruit matter but I've never had a problem with the dogs when I carry a little bud.
A couple of grams of bud I'm happy to toss or surrender but I can't loose the Mighty.
Virgin seem okay with it, 'Electronic cigarettes including e-cigars and other personal vaporizers containing batteries must be in carry-on baggage only'
About 3/4 into the link below

I'm flying Tiger though, and they are probably itching for a reason to piss their passengers off...

You can't surrender prohibited substances. Tasmania doesn't have decriminalisation or a caution system either. Be careful with carrying prohibited drugs across borders.

Had an interesting glitch occur with my new Mighty that i've never read about before. It had a full charge, and I was going to have a sesh with it plugged in to bypass the battery since it was full. When I turned it on it was showing 211c and stuck on it! I couldn't move the temp up or down, and after a reset no difference. So then I unplugged it and turned it on and it showed 180c so somehow reset itself. Weird!

I'm starting to think that when I think there should be a vibration there isn't supposed to be one. If I drop the temp with a huge inhale, will it vibrate when it goes back up to the temp? Just thinking perhaps S&B making little tweaks behind the scenes for battery management. My new Crafty works the same so I assume it's normal.

I don't like the sound of that stuck-on situation! Hope that was a one off for you.

My Mighty, received from S&B America in Oct. 2015, is also a 23xxx. Seems to be a popular range!

All 4 devices I've had have had the vibration feature go intermittent. Sometimes a gentle bump like with the palm of you hand will help it work. It's just a little spinning shaft with a lopsided weight on it, and sometimes these just hang. Often I appreciate the reminder, but often it seems like a lot of beeping...

In my experience, the vibration occurs when
1. the device is powered on or off manually (one beep)
2. the device auto shuts off. (I think one beep, though i forget at the moment!)
3. the device first reaches a temp you have set, if the set temp is higher than the current temp. (two beeps, like the Roadrunner in the cartoon).
As you draw, and as it goes through it's set range (+/- about 2 degrees C) no beeping, unless one of the above has occurred.

It is a secret because they want to finish the stock
So what will the differences in the new mighty be vs the old one? Since you said a brand new mighty, I'm assuming it just won't be updated, but reinvented from the ground up...I'm skeptical and excited at the same time!
