Basically I have to agree. On my honeycomb there are slight imperfections nothing to complain about.
But with the basebomb almost every weld is causing the surrounding glass to be very wavy. Also the male joint is tilted and off center and it looks like they hit the top of the body while grinding the joint not sure if im right with this but there are big "scratches" on top surrounding the male joint :goon:. Besides this it works just fine and I love it for sure.
In case of @Shit Snacks HT it looks like a crack to me :ugh: .

You guys know how the dial has that one spot where it will kind of seat? Like it seems this is supposed to be the default position. Mine is at about 11 oclock. Is that where it is for everyone else? Would have thought it would be right in the middle at noon.

Ok, so it arrived last Wed and I'm hooked! They even gave me an extra gift bag with a silicone concentrate container, a bag of white chedder popcorn, some lavender herb, a free sample of RezBlock (which I really liked) and some 420 wipes. Pretty cool little package for being patient with the slight shipping delay if you ask me!

I clean my hydratube every single morning and usually pour out the water the night before after I vape it if I don't get too wasted! So far I have had ZERO problems keeping my hydratube perfectly clean with my old tried and true Orange Chronic Iso solution! Not sure If you guys think that is extreme or not but I'm going to continue to keep up this regiment. I know I've only had it for 5 days but daily cleanings seem like they work because I'm getting it as clean as new everytime! I only use distilled water.. I used the RezBlock sample once on Saturday but for the most part only distilled water.

I've also noticed that the EVO does not combust!!! I left it on the max setting for nearly 30 minutes to see and I still get the same dark brown color I always get when I finish off at the highest setting and remove it immediately when done. Now the ABV is what interests me the most because it is so dark brown! It sometimes looks like it's charred but when I put it up to light I can always clearly see it's just a very dark brown. But why is the ABV of my plenty lighter or more consistent in color? I think I'm going to try putting my Plenty ABV in the EVO and the EVO ABV in the plenty to see if there is anything remaining in either one of my vapes. I'm just concerned about the potency of the EVO's ABV and was wondering if I could get any confirmation from anyone here if the ABV is still potent enough for edibles?

I'm also happy to report that after my horrible experience with a dab rig, I can safely say... I CAN FINALLY DAB AND I'M LOVING IT!!! This was such a huge deal to me and now that I've experienced them with the EVO I now no longer feel as if I'm wasting my material and I absolutely love the high! I will NEVER own an oil rig again and detest the idea of bringing a friggen torch into my home. Never again! I have to ask.. how long do you guys let the Vapexnail clean itself at the highest setting? The instructions say 2 mins but I leave it there for 10 mins.. is this ok? And is it normal for there to be some stubborn spots that don't even come clean with Iso?

Now for my concern...

I don't know where I read it but I thought the dial's only notch was supposed to rest at 12 O clock on the dial? Why does my notch rest at 11 O clock? Are the newer Evo's calibrated differently or something? Here's mine:
YXMHvIm.jpg

Also i've noticed that the red and green light sometimes turns red for no reason despite it being at the right temp. I've already contacted VapeXhale about both of these issues and am waiting to hear back from them.

I'd like to get more into the techniques you guys use and am looking forward to skimming through and learning a lot from this very very active thread!

Mine is the same, the notch is at 11 oclock. I'm wondering if this may be the difference that some people are noticing. I tried at 11 and i notice an improvement in flavor from what I was getting with my dial set at noon. And still decent size clouds.

That's good to hear I'm not the only one! Even at 11 O clock.. I can still get decently thick clouds from herb.. not to mention I even dabbed at 11 and it worked flawlessly! I'm still experimenting though trying to find the perfect ELB load and temp setting! When did you purchase your EVO? I'm still reading this gigantic thread!

Can anyone else here confirm that their Notch rests at 11 O clock?

So as ive been reading @Shit Snacks posts aboit his crack in his hydratree i decided to check mine out and my crack is even bigger..i had never checked it before. It always seemed like a super light draw. Im starting to wonder if this was a defect sale??im sure im screwed because its been a few weeks but i feel devastated because it can only get worse..the crack that is..i should have checked but figured with the rep utation of quality that i was good to go with american glass..

Lowest dial position on my unit is at 7 o`clock rest at 12 and highest position around 5.
Would be interesting to know if it is the same for you guy`s with the dial resting at 11 or if your dial starts at 6 and goes up to a something like 4 o'clock position.
Maybe the hole spectrum is just shifted an hour on the dial.

@Socks And Sandals nice package you got there.
Small loads will be vaped to an almost completely even color if i pack more, like half or 3/4 of an elb, i get a darker spot in the middle. Don`t think there will be much potency left if there are some lighter spot's.
For the nail, clean up time on highest setting is something around 5 min. There will be a ring of dark gooey residue that would not come of that easy. You might need too use some steel wool to scrape it of, temperature and iso will help with that. I had a hard time getting it completely clean.
Whit the red light we might need a little more description on when it occurs.

Mine definitely works better lower on the dial, even 10 o clock, hell even 9:30 seemed to produce clouds. I don't know what y'all mean about the resting position though, seems to be a smooth turning dial...

But maybe mines not the only one that is tuned so hot? I mean it's definitely not 12-2:30 useable range as mentioned before, its more of a full spectrum which would be better anyhow, though taste really suffers past noon on mine (again unsure if its something else poluting the taste/smell, could've just been new factory smell as others mentioned, hoped a vape this expensive wouldn't have that issue though).

We'll see what CS tells me today hopefully

I don't go past noon on mine either. It's definitely too hot above noon. It doesn't combust but its harsh and tastes spent after one pull.

@Shit Snacks , when you turn it, you should feel a notch somewhere, this is what they're talking about. Mine is smooth from 11 o clock to 5 o clock from the top. And also smooth from 6-11 from the bottom. But it has a little resting point right at 11, you should be able to feel it somewhere on your dial.

So for those asking, mine also rests on 11.

Hell, if you can't, may explain your problems. Not totally familiar as to how it's set up, but say on the standard clock EVO, that the notch (12 o clock should be the standard) is 350. For all of us whose notch is at 11, maybe 11 = 350 to us and everything is scaled higher to the right. Perhaps your notch is so far to the left, that everything is scaled even further, if that makes sense? So, it tastes extra hot at 12 for you because on my dial, that's more like 2 or 3? That make sense? Kinda just spitballing an idea, don't know if this has weight

Haha yeah, I'll check again tonight, but I really don't think I felt any kind of notch anywhere that I could tell, seemed pretty equal turning all the way around back and forth when I tried last night... Hard to really tell at all frankly

In any case I'm still hoping they just send another brand new one instead of trying to repair this one, it'd be very silly if I had to wait for that and it may turn me off completely, though I do seem to be experiencing some of the greatness now low on the dial... Still not the ideal experience I've heard about just yet

If any of you guys know the people who design the VXL website:

Explore > High Performance

First paragraph, its "scalding hot" not "scolding hot". Scolding is what your teacher did to you in elementary school before you got thrown in timeout.

Not trying to be a dick, but part of my job is fixing things like that so I tend to notice those things.

Whats up everybody,
I've been reading this site for years and finally am able to sign up now that I'm a licensed medical cannabis user.

I wanted to share a video I put together using my vapexhale doing a strain review.

Dude, this is an awesome video! I'm going to check out your other videos! Also, where did you get that adapter you use to connect your whip to your bubbler? I think that sloped design would really work well for my setups for Herbie and the EVO.

My EVO is the same, I received mine when they first came out. My sweet spot is between 10-11:30, and finish off my last hit at noon and never go past noon.

Hmm so all that noon is 350F talk isn't true for everyone? Far from it it seems... Maybe my dial isn't that out of wack then?

But still that new factory smell was very disappointing, and the power switch is clearly not working, so still hoping for an all around swift replacement... No reply from CS yet, guess I'll give em til the end of the day before i try replying again with more dial info

I appreciate the positive feedback! It makes me want to make more videos! hehe

The angled adapter is a 18mm to 14mm adapter that I purchased in Barrie, Ontario @ a superb headshop called Liquid Chrome. Unfortunately shortly after this video I had an incident and smashed the glass adapter that goes to the 18mm male of the EVO, so no more hose for now lol.

Yeah I'm definitely having some tastiness and clouds at 10 o clock or so now... Had the first with the tube empty of water, then kicked up a smidge for a couple more with water. Huge smooth clouds with effects to match. Totally getting the appeal, even with my flawed parts
:smug:

EDIT still no reply from customer support... Disheartening to say the least.
Guess I'll follow up a third time
