Discontinued Haze Dual V3

Hello FC peeps, I just signed up so here is my first post, I apologize if it is a bit long.

So I bought the Haze V3 about two weeks ago, and I am absolutely loving the decision to start vaping and stop combusting. I have been really enjoying the Haze V3 and all its versatility. However I have been having some issues with the unit.

First- The batteries were not very good out of the box, they did not last long at all. The store replaced them and the new ones are way better.

Second-The insert that you install the mouth piece in to is pulling up and out when I adjust the straw height and it is allowing a lot of air in to the draw. I can push it down and its better but not great, and when switching between ovens it makes a rough cracking sound. Also the metal straw is pretty much impossible to pull out when stored in the unit on the go, even when cleaned, which i do regularly.

Third- The battery door seems to open if lightly touched, and the sliding piece next to the battery door is quite loose and shakes around.

Lastly, the rubber that holds the oven tops to the door have come off a number of times, not a big deal as it is not hard to put back together, but frustrating still.

I have been in contact with Haze and they have been quite helpful, and I have started a warranty return ticket and will be sending it in tomorrow, so Hopefully it will be replaced as it seems to be a defective unit. This has not however swayed my opinion of the V3 as I really love the performance of it. I hope it will get dealt with quick as I am not looking forward to going back to smoking, Ill probably eat edibles as much as possible so as not to smoke, hehe. Has anyone else experienced any of these issues? Thanks for reading :-)

Welcome to the forums, Toolhead! Ive heard of most of those issues on earlier versions but Haze seemed to get them handled with the V3. I am especially surprised at the oven top problem and the battery door as they made changes for those specific issues. The mouthpiece issue definitely sounds like it may be a manufacturing flaw. Anyway it sounds like you got a funky unit. It happens. The good thing is that Haze backs their product quite well. Hopefully you have better luck with your next unit.

I'm qutting smoking and using a crappy e-pen. How well does the haze with the pads handle the e-liquid from any users that use it? Can you soak the pad once and toss it or can you reuse them for a while?
You can use it for e-liquid. I have some honey and milk oil that has 6mg of nicotine and it works I would recommend a Vape pen that uses an atomizer. If you are planning to use haze, the cotton pads do last quite a while, I just place more oil on when they start to dry up. Haze gives you a really good taste and with an e-liquid sometimes it is to much. It's a different nicotine rush as well kinda hard to explain. That being said it is fun on occasion; I just wouldn't recommend using the Haze as a go to e-liquid vape it is mostly for dry herbs and concentrates.
PS- It makes your unit kinda messy and you have to clean it allot more with e-liquids.

I'll be honest. It's possible but not probable. Color changes are super expensive as I found out early on here. I'll ask again. I can see a market for it. :)

Great pics too!!!!

Yes.. you can put that pink one on pre order because I am HIGH AS #### and I'll give the black V3 to my husband who is on the road but when he comes home he will be HIGH AS #### too. LOL

I'm sitting here enjoying a really nice sesh on the V3, it took a week to change over from my trusty pipe and I spent most of this week taking a break to one sesh before bed, but I tonite I let it rip.. packed 2/3 bowl GCC fine ground and dried a little in the grinder overnight, (this stuff is super fresh and sticky, freakin' tricomes everywhere).

I got over the lack of throat hit. I am used to the draw..sort of..at first I was just trying to draw to hard on it, but I have taken the advice:
For thicker vapour, use the conduction screen, pack the load, select three lights on the V3, and wait 15-20 seconds after heating up and between hits to let the vapour build up. Pull until you feel resistance but not harder. The V3 easily milks my WP-010 when I do this.

It has worked well.. and I am actually getting vapor now.. certainly not the clouds I have seen in videos, but I think I should pick up a set of the XL batteries.. I'm a ecig user who uses dual 18650 LI Ions for my MOD so I am familiar with these types of batteries, (yes, I know not to try using them!), and I've read the XLs specifically for the Haze have more ?Power? or ?Longer Life?, I'd like to find out more of these...and maybe a link to more information and how to order them if it is allowed?

It seems to be heating up just fine now and strangely it seems to be breaking in and working better with use. My electric frypan was like that...LOL

I started out on two.. letting it warm up longer than when the light first goes steady, probably 30 seconds.. here's something I did and actually can't stop doing.. as it was heating up was gently sniffing on the steam to smell the terpenes and I got a nice minty bouquet right up in the sinuses and my sinuses are very happy now...LOL

After the flavor decreased.. I staged it up to three and had visible vapor.. very, very slight.. but I was now getting a "throat hit" and could tell things were cooking. I ended up on 4 to finish off.. probably a nice relaxed 20 minute sesh.. that seems to be the key, sit back, relax and enjoy like sipping good brandy from a snifter.. it certainly isn't hit and run...LOL

Thanks for everyone's help and I'm going to be hanging around to see what others are experiencing as they try new things with their V3!

Man am I jealous of all you guys with the V3! I recently acquired a lightly used Haze 2.5 and I could not be happier. The ability to have two bowls in a portable is beyond convenient. Not to mention on settings 1 and 2, the haze provides some of the smoothest, tastiest vapor I have ever experienced, regardless of which way I pack the bowl. Some times I can't believe it's a conduction vape with how smooth, consistent and tasty its hits are. Then on settings 3 and 4, it can blow as good if not better clouds than any of the other battery powered vapes I've tried. The battery life is pretty decent too especially since you get two batteries. This is the first higher end portable I've tried so maybe I don't have much to compare it to but this thing is amazing. The hype is real. If my Haze broke I would definitely get another one as it is a truly quality vaporizer.

Hi, upgraded to the V3 recently, very happy with the new silicon lid and dry herb cans!

Clouds production is impressive especially using 1&2 for flowers and vaped a shatter can at 3 exclusively with great clouds! Also I' was a bit disappointed cause taste suffers, I got a very nice and floral taste using setting 1 with conduction screens with my v2.5.... but I didn't use at all convection screens and I just use them at lower setting in my v3 and got again this amazing taste!

For concentrates&clouds the V3 is a killer!

Thanks to everybody!

About to order my Haze v3 tomorrow. I'm in Canada so I'm order the vap from here, but no places here really have all the accessories so I'll probably be order them from haze.

A few questions.

I'm qutting smoking and using a crappy e-pen. How well does the haze with the pads handle the e-liquid from any users that use it? Can you soak the pad once and toss it or can you reuse them for a while?

Should I just buy a bunch of oil cans and use those for the herb/oil/and e-liquids or the can's with the steel mesh for the top for herb? I plan on getting a case and keychain for extra cans as I'm always out and about so I'm not interested in carrying screens and loose herb?

If you use the extra's cans, then you don't need a screen right, or do anyone use a screen inside the can's?
The screens are not needed inside the can. They aren't needed if you need prepack only. Yes buy a few extra you won't regret having them. I like smoking dry herb with just the screens best though it works great in the can too. You have to turn up the heat slightly more is all.

I feel the battery door is slightly sensitive, it could have a little lock on it. However once you figure out the right way to close it, it will stay closed very well.

My mouthpieces that came with the unit are perfect, I bought a glass replacement to have as a spare and it was a bit too thin. Haze replaced it free for me. Never had a problem with the metal one coming out.

I also joined the pay it forward program just now. Excited that I will now always have the latest Haze and my old ones will always go to a worthy cause.

I did some checking and Solomon is right. I seldom run my Haze on level 4 (I do extended sessions on level 1 and 2) so I really haven't experienced this except maybe once long ago. I chalked it up to shutting off over lack of movement but in fact it was shut down to avoid overheating. And here I thought I knew just about everything with the Haze!

Edit: I guess I should also mention that the other reason it could shut down is if the battery is low and it drops below the proper voltage.
Sorry for double post, but was curious and forgot about the rule.

Has this changed with the V3?

I had the early shut-off issue with my Haze V2.5. I havent had any early shut-off issue with my V3. I heard they upgraded the temperature regulator and the oven temps on the V3 are supposed to be more accurate and consistent. I can't speak for others but they sure seem to be, on my V3.

I would like to go on record that in my experience the V3 produces thicker clouds faster than any other portable I've experienced. Faster than the Ascent, faster than the Flowermate, and faster than my Herbalizer desktop unit (by far). One night when I've got someone to help me share a few sessions I would like to shoot a video timing out all my units and how fast they'll milk a bubbler. It has got some competition from the EVO and Underdog, but with my current portable lineup the Haze stands alone.

Just ordered. Can say I'm disappointed with vapeworld. I went with them because not too many suppliers in Canada have the extra can's and accessories I wanted. First they were $50 more than anywhere else in Canada but offered price match, which I had to call to get. So I called, and after a long wait on the phone, they finally found it for $250 in Canada and offered to price match. Then they had to make me account, despite me having an account. More waiting. Then finally, they don't have in stock in Canada. Site says they do, but they don't. Not in any color at all. Hung up, and ordered from Vaporizers.ca. They didn't have extra can's, but I'll order them from Scott directly from Haze if I have to. They are in my province and should have it soon. Can't wait.

thanks for the feedback and what is the pay it forward program and always getting the latest haze?

its a 1 time $99 fee. Every time Haze comes out with a new version you can send in your current Haze and be sent a new one of the latest version for free (you cover shipping to them) and the used units they receive are sent to those who need a vaporizer for medical purposes but can't really afford one etc.

eta: also try using the edit feature rather than posting a second post directly after your last one :) mods will be happier that way

Hazists: how do you hold your haze?

Just an informal poll for my curiosity. I tend to hold mine flat (parallel to the floor), so that the contents don't rattle about the place. This is because I find it produces nice thick vapour when you pat down your herb blend a bit. Because of the heat, I usually hold it by its edges - kinda like a slice of toast I guess.

I got a good deal on a Magic Flight Bubbler that works great with the Haze so when Im vaping at home ( which is always as Im currently recovering from surgery ) my Haze is sitting flat on the table oven door up. The MF bubbler comes with 2 long whips which allows you to connect the Haze with a whip. Its a nice set up for vaping.

I hold mine flat always with concentrates, I have had it leak through the silicone lid and down in to the oven when held upright. I think it can even overflow when held flat. But with dry herbs i use it flat or upright, especially when on the go...

I seem to hold with my left hand grasping the patterned/oven side with the oven upside down.

Ive found the patterned side can get a bit toasty but if you flip the Haze so youre holding the smooth side instead of the patterned, you can avoid the oven heat and still hold it in your left hand instead of right. The smooth side is cooler to hold and this also allows you to hit the Haze with the over door up.

Oh, yes, of this I am aware, but I vape almost exclusively on set 2 or 3, so I have never found it too hot to hold. I like the feel of the texture in my hand. Just my preference.

Just want to say again that the Haze company is the best to deal with. The machine has been instrumental in improving my health over the past month to where I can now, for the first time in months, go out for short periods of time. I got to personally let them know this today and want to say they are truly fine people who care about the customer. Thanks Scott, and thank you Haze for making a top notch product. Fuck Combustion is a great place isn't it? They know that there.
