. . .
Also, when I look through my unit from the bottom hole I see a line in the glass near the part of the bamboo where it gets very thin.

Is this normal or is it a crack? If the line is on one side of the hole, and it "points" to the left side if the unit.

Normal?

Probably not a problem. To be sure, have you checked that the bamboo is airtight? Tightly cover bottom intake with finger and then attempt to draw through the joint. If you get air, there is a crack. If not, the bamboo is solid.

Question, I bought a new cloud Evo about 1-2 months ago from eBay, today the turn off switch did not turn it off. I tried to switch back and forth and it stayed on. Would it be covered by vapexhale warranty even if bought at eBay?

Strongly considering placing a purchase with the recent price drop

Am curious to if anyone has successfully attempted/created a Do It Yourself fan assist for the Evo?

I'm very interested in this idea. Eagerly awaiting any replies

I did that once, it's definitely possible. I used an aquarium pump hose threaded into the hole in the bottom of the bamboo. You will also need a small stand that can lift the evo a bit with a slot to accommodate this. Then just connect your balloon or whip of choice to the top with whatever adapter goes to 18mm.

@grokit

Groovy

Id use inverted with a bubbler but that would work just as well

Fitting the tube into the Evo seems to be the only challenging part. Did you just get lucky or did you precisely measure to have a snug connection tube?

The question is whether your seller is a genuine Authorized Reseller. I took a look at the eBay listings, and noticed that only several of the eight current listings claim to be Authorized. E.g., VaporWarehouse appears to be legit. But sorry to say, it is doubtful that all of these sellers are; in the past there have been unauthorized units and even knock-offs sold on eBay.

If you contact the eBay seller, they will probably direct you to VXL. An Authorized Reseller should know the warranty claim process. Unless the seller intervenes for you, I would submit a support ticket myself to VXL with the unit serial number, date of purchase, and name of seller. I don't know VXL's policy for servicing units manufactured by VXL but not sold by an Authorizer Reseller. And if the unit is a knock-off, you're probably out of luck.

Anyone got any experiences to share with using concentrates in the ELBs?

Im waiting for my replacement hydratube in the mail so that I can finally use some of this concentrate I've got. The concentrate I have is what I *believe* is called "honey oil" in legal states. Its like a darkish, almost golden-brown material. Its etremely sticky, so I'm thinking its a no-go in the ELB no matter how much plant material I put the concentrate in / on top of, but I wanted to see if anyone has any experience to share, perhaps with the older Cloud models?

EDIT: also, the concentrate I have seems to leave behind a significant amount of black residue after its been burned. Yes, all things that are burned leave behind black residue, but when I was attempting to use my vapexnail it seemed to all settle at the bottom, which I wasnt expecting given the videos that others have posted that show them using their vapexnails.

Since im in a non legal state, I'm thinking this is from the impurities in the concentrate.

Probably a bad idea for the ELBs, right?

I had similar experience with my VXN to a tee. With the black residue as well.

I took a dab and stuck it in my ELB with my weed. Worked well enough and didn't seem to overtly dirty the ELB that much more. I only did it once though.

I think the concentrates should be fine in the ELB as long as you don't use too much. It will gunk up the ELB more and probably be annoying to load with the herb, but I say go for it and just don't overdo it.

In addition, if you have a knock-off tell the seller you want a complete refund & contact your card or Paypal (however you paid.)

You paid for a VapeXhale Cloud Evo, not a WapeXnail Cloudy POS. Get your money back and take advantage of the sale.

I thought concentrates needed to be used with a nail to get them down to the depth in the bamboo where the nail sits, where it's hotter.

How exactly do you do this? Just put some herb, some erl or oil, and then some more herb? And vape it from the ELB like normal?
I've read on hear some make "flurrl" balls? Get a chunk of wax, roll it in a bunch of fine grind, and sandwich that with herb. But yeah, be sure to keep that ELB clean ... ISO soak after you do it so it won't gunk up.

Bummer :(. Despite ordering my unit super early in the morning on Friday and receiving a tracking number later that day, it appears my unit only just shipped this afternoon! Looks like my EVO won't be arriving until Weds. The anticipation is killing me! Hope you all enjoy an extra toke for me tomorrow, LOL.

These things are selling like hotcakes! I just got a complimentary email saying this:

"Due to the overwhelming response to our two-year anniversary sale, we're experiencing a short delay fulfilling your order. We expect to have your Evo shipped out to you as early as Wed 10/21."

I really appreciate the fact that the guys at VapeXhale even show this kind of courtesy and honestly I'm just happy with anticipation!
