Ceramic is most likely safe, but I think the consensus on cheap honey buckets is that they're usually not great especially without a cap made to fit them. Lots of people seem to prefer bangers over even expensive honey buckets. This one might work ok with that new highly educated carb cap that looks like a bottle cap and can fit on honey buckets, but that probably costs a lot more than the bucket.

I am a real novice as far as vaping with a bong or bubbler but was refered to this thread by the Haze one. I would like to buy this piece by Ed's TNT http://www.hazevaporizers.com/v3-water-tool-attachment.html but really have no idea how to use it proper.

I have two old bongs-fairly large personal ones, but I don't even know if they are 14 or 18 mm. I was wondering if any of you could recomended anything nice and compact glass wise to use with the Haze and the piece by Ed's. Thanks.

I think that the basic one that is recommended is the d020..its most common and "entry level" to start with..do your old bongs have a slide out bowl? And is there a black o ring around it or is it like frosted glass where the bowl goes in?

The two I have now (I broke a few in my day like anyone) have slide out bowls with frosted glass. THere is no o ring and no other holes. God they look filthy, I just never knew how to care for them well. Except for one or two occasions I have not used them in years. I will look up this d020.

If they are ground glass which is what the frosted is called..they are either 14 or 18..those are standard size..they also make 10 now for dab rigs and such..

Well the both fit each other. I'm thinking 14 mm because they aren't wide.
Maybe grass city has something good?

Take a measurement of the hole what's the bowl slides into. This will give a rough idea. Also you can clean those old soldiers by plugging up all holes and putting a few oz of Isopropyl Alcohol and carefully shaking. It can soak for a time. If the grunge is very stubborn, add some very coarse salt to the ISO. It will not dissolve in alcohol and wall act as a mild abrasive when you shake it. Last but not least you can soak in a solution of PBW (Powdered Brewery Wash). It is available online cheap, or at home brew stores. It will bring your glass back to nearly new.

Yeah you should be fine with the haze..i have a few straight type tubes and certain vapes cant be used cleqrance wise. But haze it versatile little beast..

That one should be ok, but be advised, that piece is designed for smoking rather than vapor. There are a couple of tiny holes in the upper chamber that allow fresh air to mix with the smoke creating a swirl/vortex.
Like a fixed carb.

This is such an individual decision. This one looks like it has a bowl attached to the stem. When you remove the bowl to attach your Haze there will no longer be a stem down in the water. Also IMO ice pinches are not so helpful when "vapor bonging". Ice will cause the vapor to condense on the glass and in the water, thus robbing you of actives albeit with a smoother hit. Warm water will provide moist vapor. A piece with more percolation (bubbles) will typically hit smoother but at the expense of flavor. Something like this one might pair nicely with the Haze. But it is on the small side.

I was comtemplating buying this 14mm male joint rig. ($43 bucks all said and done) It's just over 8.5 inches high and I wanted my fellow FC community Dabbers to let me know if they could see any shortfalls. I've read a few online reviews and they basically say it's a decent set up for the price. Any feedback is always appreciated...

If you want to order from Grass city rather than DHgate I don't blame you as their prices seem pretty good for the sale items & way less hassle if you have issues. I would suggest a vape bubbler or a simple straight tube or beaker under 10" without getting too fancy.

I use a Blaze one that is similar for daily use & at $55 is a bargain.
