The Mighty/Mighty+ by Storz & Bickel

Seems like the Mighty, when it works is unparalleled quality, but I just don't see myself spending 400$ on something that is almost guranteed to mess up. Granted I do not have one so I cannot fairly judge it and say that it will for sure mess up, but I have done hours of research, and I am seeing most people have to go through 2-3 returns in 6 months of daily use. so what happens when your 2 year warranty is up? What then?

I emailed Storz-Bickel (3 different emails that they have avaliable on their site) asking about progress made on some of the reported issues and I got just a generic response telling me it comes with a 2 year warranty and to buy it from their site. I know where to buy it and I know it comes with a 2 year warranty. What I don't know is if I buy this for 400$ will it be worth it in the long run, and I just cannot justify it. I am probably gonna get a less expensive tier 2 vape and see if they make improvements to this vape overtime or come out with a new improved version.
The Mighty has been out 1year+ and I still see people reporting all kinds of issues with the device. Lots of money for such a headache (just my 2-cents)

So my Mighty S/N 0020xxx and there is no sticker on it. Just the black paint. How cheap is that. wow

I wouldn't be so worried . The community here doesn't represent the entire population of mighty owners . I have not had mine long enough to tell you truly how the warranty service is and I do see quite the bunch that have had problems but nothing is perfect and if you don't feel comfortable the mighty isn't the only vape out there in the top tier. Yes it has a top tier price but that doesn't make it the best. It's good at what it does but there are others that do well also and are a fraction of the price. If your nervous about the purchase maybe start with something cheaper see how you like it and take it from there. I happen to own a pax 2 , it works well , it's easy to use and clean and it has a 10yr warranty. There are others also but I feel the customer service is great with pax and I don't see many companies offering such a long warranty so I am never hesitant to use it as often as I'd like. I wish you look , do some reading on the forums there is a ton of options and if you need some help please ask . For $400 I feel that is a steep price for the mighty , it's mostly plastic , it's big and it doesn't get the best battery life compared to some others but I will say it extracts very well and always gets me were I need to be for the short time I have had it so far .

Just got my Mighty from Puffitup (best customer service). Can't wait to take it out around town. I've been missing my portable vape (Crafty) for going out, since my Crafty was sent back to S&B for repairs.

This Mighty has the new beefed up housing near the heating chamber. Heats up much quicker than my Crafty. I made a quick kickstand so it will stand up.

As much as people complain about S&B's Mighty/Crafty (I'm included), they do make a very powerful, portable vape.

Absolutely! Hate to put another vape out there on this thread but I am considering the Haze V3. Also 10 year warranty and is rated well on here and other review sites such as vapecritic, vapewizard, etc.

I have never heard of that happening before. I hope it's just a one off. Don't tell Bickel & Storz that you used a third party product as it may affect your warranty.

I don't have the mighty but I would guess it's the same as the crafty as far as the connection is concerned, I think if the vapefiend adapter is tightened too much it could cause what you describe, it's hard to explain but I will have a go...

The rails (the bits that hold it inplace) on the wpa are thicker than the ones on the CU, and the part they slide into on the crafty/mighty starts wide but gets narrower as it goes round, so the wpa only turns half way compared to the CU to lock it in place, if tightened past the notch where it first comfortably stops I could see extra stress/pressure causing problems.

I don't know how much sense this makes but I will post some pics and go into more detail tomorrow in the crafty thread.

Like many, trying to decide between the muzzmod mod and the vapefeind adapter.
When Vapefeind came out, seemed like a potentially great idea BUT with it being just a collar over a glass piece -- ??? not sure now.
And with potential to break your Mighty if you twist too far-- ??

I had just bought 6 Mighty CU's with intent to make muzzmods when the vapefeind came out.
Now, waiting to see which way to go, make muzzmods or buy vapefeind.
I might go back to muzzmods as still the better option--- true one piece and no chance of it breaking the Mighty.

A little tip to help you clean that oven up , go buy a magic eraser , cut a small piece and use it in the oven.

thanks for the magic eraser tip, I had a few of them and tore about a 1/5th of one and used it to clean the bowl. I'll replace the screen

The early units had a clear sticker over the warranty label and it didn't scratch off. Bickel & Storz replaced that with the new labels that scratch off and make the units look cheap. I contacted them as I was concerned about the warranty number coming off. They told me not to worry as you could still see it when you held it up to the light.

A former Reddit user tried to get his unit warrantied over this and they said no so he went ballistic.

Yeah, whoever printed those little plates did a bad job, and probably didn't test them much for 'normal' use... I can still make out the serial number on the back if you look at it closely letting light reflect off it on an angle, it looks like that part may have been laser etched or something. the black paint or ink was a poor choice

@StonerBob what were you doing with yours....how are you carrying it around...no reason it should look that beat up IMO. As someone said looks like lots of concentrate use, maybe the higher heats used during that are dong it? That is undoubtedly one of the worst looking Mighty's I've ever seen lol

Yes, most of that is from concentrate use. The liquid pads are nice, but my thought is that as the concentrate heats up it starts running down the wire in the pad. The liquid pads look like they may have been a fine wire mesh, not sure if its stainless steel or what. Then they press that mesh into the disc shape, or maybe they press it to the proper thickness and cut the disc shapes in it. but I lean more towards they may stuff them into a mold and press it to hold its form. Anyhow, over time the concentrate seems to accumulate a little on the disc and as you can see on the screen in the bowl.






Also an update:
I sent the email to them this morning describing the problem with the Mighty. A few hours later I got a response, they said from what it sounds like, most likely the repair will be free of charge. They gave me a paid shipping label for usps 2day mail and asked to only send them the base and to keep the rest, and they will be inspect/test/repair.

Storz&Bickel customer service seems to be helpful and responded quickly so far

I did a poor job describing cause it's still a head scratcher for me but you explained that perfectly. The stress from tightening too much tore the right part of my unit up it was close to opening the whole thing!

@Stinky I didn't i had some torn up plastic around the filling chamber like many other users experience. Hope my warranty goes okay!

So it seems my Mighty sometimes overheats(i'm assuming)then shuts off and cannot turn on unless I plug in the charger. It doesn't need to sit on the charger at all. I simply plug it in and it resets and operates perfectly after that. Not sure why this is happening? It was only a 6 minutes session at 393F?

Bought mine the end of May, and use it everyday since then.

How long did it take to do that to your new vaporizer.? I got my Mighty from S&B for $60. Seemed the prudent path after hearing the unofficial but universally held viewpoint in Oakland.

Yesterday a good friend came by raving about some GSC and a Killer Complete Grow Tent at Sam's Club. and I had just gotten my glass adapter from Vapefiend ( I salute you Sir! Need to figure out how to post a photo) and only tried one bowl of supposed Super Silver Haze but he took over talking about how sticky this weed was.

I spent half an hour cleaning the GUNK out of my Vape. He's still a friend but I'm still considering a BloomBox from BC Northern Lights even if I AM limited to possessing three plants in flower and three vegging here in Alaska. I personally prefer flowers to be my main source of good stuff. Concentrates were and still are something I enjoy occasionally. But soon it could be medically. Dr's here need a proven method of delivery and the ability to control dosage accurately. Concentrates for the win. And then you save labor costs and TIME! Chop it down, grind it up, process, pack, label, all in 24 hours not several weeks.

But i've never thought the Mighty to be a daily dab rig. In fact i'll be getting a separate rig for concentrates, at least when I can have legal access. I trust myself in the kitchen, but was always very nervous when sampling a strange brew. But these days microwave meals are a challenge.

I still think the build quality is really good, state of the art making power supplies for portable vaporizers is not so good. The guys in Oakland seem ok, especially after figuring out their phone menu. Wish mine was solid copper but...

I owe you a huge thank you for this post. Just received my adapter from Vapefiend. Read this post last night and followed your advice. No doubt if I didn't read your post that I would have forced it too much. Much Thanks.

Just here to say I have a serial number 00 mighty, I've posted the number on here before, and it doesnt have any problems. It's not a newer model and I probably use it around 1-3 per day. It's my favorite vape and I haven't had any issues with it or any of my other ones. It sucks that people are getting scared off of owning one because it really is an amazing vaporizer.

I had to send mine in once but the process was pretty painless. Everyone reading these forums and deciding whether to buy should remember that the vast majority of happy Mighty owners are sitting back enjoying their Mightys, not on here raving about them. These forums by nature are where people come to vent about problems (myself included). Every vape I have has issues like this in their forum, some more than others. Too bad there is no real way to know actual failure rates and whatnot...

I love my Mighty and would cease using cannabis if I couldn't use it anymore. I came to this realisation months ago, that's how dramatic a change it has made in my life.

I'd happily pay $500 every two years for a new unit. They are worth it.

I seriously only post in this thread like once a month just to let people know my U1 is still alive and kicking strong as ever lol

Really happy that I got my new Mighty! As a Crafty owner I'm very use to the Mighty, but wow, the heat up time is like half of the Crafty, like a minute or so, superfast. Not sure, but the draw seems to be more free flowing than the Crafty. Obviously the battery life is much better. The only cons are that it doesn't stand like the Crafty and it is not as stealthy. But both medicate beautifully!!!!!

Hey guys, I have been an happy mighty user since last may. Upgrade from my solo, quite a big leap

I recently started using it with water with success! I didnt like the drag with my solo/water before, never used much bubblers. But the mighty flows perfectly and gives nice smooth clouds. Im finally using my pvhes gong and china bubblers yeah! I stacked small bits of silicon tubing on the mouth piece to enlarge it, then connected it to the pvhes gong. Here is a pic

I´m feeling like i need to mention how happy am i with my mighty. I am using this device as my daily driver for 5 months now - vaping 8-10 sessions in a day - all with D020 bubbler and high temperatures and my unit is almost like new. No problem at all: Heating time - excellent like when it was new. Battery is holding really well after 5 months of daily use - i didn´t notice any changes in battery life. On the other hand crafty is a different device - after 40 hours on clock my crafty can´t hold up the battery for more than 3 sessions and the heating time increased unbelievable. And that´s it - crafty is taking big brother down. I think that this thread is affected by the crafty thread and it become much more darker in here like a few months ago. The failures of mighty´s are not that common like with crafty and i see many people become scared of bad customers service of whatever. As a few more above me i would mention that MIGHTY is an excellent device - best portable vaporizer i have ever had and it definitely is worth that amount of money. The clouds taste effects heating/charging time are top shelf! IF YOU´RE NOT SURE - GO FOR IT !

hey, Just red this and felt like signing in and report about my expirience. so tenku for that.
so, i combusted for 8 years like and converted to vaping alot because of the mighty being allmighty. this is hitting hard every time, even with a crappy herb.
mine is 3-4 month old, looks as new, hit as new, battery like new.
use it every day as my first and only instrument and super satisfied with the product.
didn't have one fail, only bought some screens to replace.
i love the mighty!

Okay so check this out, SOLO stems fit right into the Mightys filling aid.!!!
But, don't try this because it may not be safe!. I emailed Sotrz in hopes they can tell me the
tempreture the filling aid begins to melt, no luck.

So the question now is if the filling aid is safe to have attached to the Mighty for long periods of time?
whats the melting point??
Will it be safe to inhale, or will the chamber give off fumes??
Will some one use the filling aid as a blue print to create another awesome adapter ??

Let me know if you guys find anything out,.
