I'm really enjoying the suck it in method of filling the stem or the M2M adapter.

Ah the good old vacNpak :)

Totally agree, I love loading this way. Like you say Cybr, it's easier than using any tool.

I know some peeps don't like it because they find it clogs up their screens quicker but I'm not too sure that I find this to be the case at all.

Hmmm . . . I think I might try a loose pack tonight ;)

Suck it up y'all!

Yeah that could be an issue with my UD screens sometimes, but the Zion screens are better imo. Slightly courser and thicker, more durable feeling, easy to slide in and out, which I never do with my UD screens.

I actually only really have any clogging when I do heavy water sessions, and they're super easy to clean too, qtip iso actually works easier than a soak even and just as well.

I too should try a purposefully super tight full pack too perhaps... But I don't wanna knock myself out, tonight at least ;)

That reminds me... Gotta get those spare screens out to you guys. We will be using the same set-up only with 14 & 10 mm glass with the single battery manual units. In the continued RBT spirit of early customer involvement we will be kicking off a candidate thread shortly. HD is just itching for a peek at the electric dugout.

Ah hearing that really feels good. Glad you guys are enjoying the experience as we do really appreciate your candid feedback. Pretty killer FC Beta test team hah?

Let's say we throw FC some love with a lifetime warranty as well as right of first refusal on the single battery manual unit now in test...

@pakalolo, I'll drop your alpha unit in the mail tomorrow. I look forward to hearing your thoughts. We really love the technology in the 14 mm glass. 10 mm is next... How low can you go?

Was so close, and only needed this little bump over the top. Thanks @RastaBuddhaTao ! Just placed my order.

Just wanted to check in with a brief report on my Zion beta unit.

This evening I taste tested about a gram of a new unnamed local hybrid strain.

I started with some lower temperature hits and noticed that I was able to pick out distinctly different terpenes and flavors as I slowly ramped up the heat to produce full clouds.

It's an incredibly versatile device that that hits many of my wish list items such as:

  • Handmade by a positive contributing member of this community
  • Built from natural, and generally inert materials for safe medical use
  • User replaceable off the shelf batteries and charger system.
  • Magnets! Because Magnets!
For me, I'm using this as a comfy chair cordless log vape with both straight stem and water tools. I'm also using it for use in bed, where it helps me immensely by allowing me to stop breakthrough pain while laying on my side in the middle of the night and get back to sleep without waking my wife or risking a bed fire. It just happened to come to me at a time when I really need this device for this purpose, so I'm especially grateful to be involved with the beta test team.

With @RastaBuddhaTao jumping ahead of himself with new smaller prototypes appearing seemingly out of the blue, I'm really excited to see what is to come as the Zion is further refined for production and the concepts for other devices mature.

We are half way through shipping the Beta test fleet of ten units. The design will be refined based on feedback from the Beta Test Team this month. Next month we will ship a small production pilot run of which we have most of the orders for. Full production shipments are scheduled to start in October.

We will be offering the Zion at the current price of $169 for two more weeks before changing the final retail price of $199 so order Now.

Reminder: Less than five days until the price increase to $199. Don't miss out on the limited time offer of Lifetime Warranty.

UGH lol. I need some free time to review the deal. What you get for less than $199 etc. I want the final product for sure, I love beta stuff, but I'd feel short changed to re-buy the final. I can be patient if I have to. This is the only portable that has me interested right now. Its like it fuses my current 2 portables, the mighty, and the firefly. Best of both.

Yeah, paying $30 less and getting a lifetime warranty instead of 3 years seems like a real no brainer to me, having one in hand...

Even with the new little siblings Zion will always have a place, I look forward to having the full line up as it grows even further!

@darkrom I think you definitely do want it... It's already pretty polished even as a beta, since its a handbuilt style with the fancy desktop power, not too much is changing and being at the back of the line you'll have finalized pretty much I think. So yeah like Firefly Mighty combo probably, but even purer materials imo, all USA hand crafted/sourced, creator on thread...

Anyone got a mighty or firefly they can use for scale? Or VapeXhale cloud or something. I really wanna pull the trigger on this. Idk if I can handle waiting for October. Might have to just wait and buy it then so I don't drive myself crazy.

I'm not sure if I shared this here or with the beta testers. Anyway, here's something:

This is more than just a size comparison. The Zion is really a cross between the FV and the Solo.

The orders we are taking now are for production units. Over the next few weeks the beta team finalize the list of production improvements. With that in hand we will start the production builds and plan to beat the October timeframe with an early adopter pilot run. People have different appetites for risk so waiting is understandable. Nice to know the Zion is touching the VAS nerve (smile)

Yeah I posted it with FF and several other convection vapes when I got mine a few pages back. Likely you'll get it before October, but up for you to decide. Waiting can be tough, but imo Zion is more than well worth it.

Firefly+Log+MFLB+LSV+Solo+FlashVape+
Thermovape+Daisy/Lily, yeah Zion kinda mixes elements of em all and the overall user experience is just so stellar as a result

Haven't read the whole thread, hope to do that tomorrow. How does this baby work with oils?

With the final days of the FC Zion discount winding down I wanted to give an update on the Zion progress. This vid demo's it's insane cloud production and describes what will shortly be the final production unit. Please post any questions or clarifications you may have as we appreciate the feedback... Even if it's making fun of the train in the background :)

The Zion isn't designed for use with concentrates, but you can use the standard tricks: bud sandwich or cotton or hemp substrate.

This has been posted before, but I just want to emphasize that without exception, everyone who has tried the Zion has loved it. The learning curve is not steep and the versatility is exceptional. It's a pure convection device that connects to water tools easily and works equally well as a low temperature sipper or a lung-busting cloudmaker—or whatever you like in between. It can go head-to-head (see what I did there? :D) with desktop units but it doesn't tie you to a wall outlet. If you love your log vape or your Solo, you really should try the Zion. At the current price it's a tremendous bargain.

I used the mouthpiece from the FC-UFOv1 last night with Venus and it worked very nicely. It has about a 45° bend in it and that absorbed much of the heat. The US 19mm joint took the ELB screen easily. The UFOv2 mouthpiece is longer so may be even better with the Zion. I'm sure at some point I will buy something dedicated and a little heady, but in the mean time I am enjoying trying stuff I have for other pieces or that's just sitting in the glass basket. :)
