Ah fuck it...

I'm doing it anyway. There is nothing else comparable available in the US in that price range. Maybe the round button is the fix it needed.

i would have tried an eleaf product by now, but i do not like the aesthetics of them. looking forward to hearing how the TC works for you.

I am starting to see a very sad transition take place in my cannabis life. I am using less flowers and more concentrates lately, still love using a herb vaporizer and the effects but this juice is winning me over :(

It's just too perfect and convenient for me! I am using a kanger aerotank mini with the 1.6 invisible wick coils. Running airflow wide open with only 7 watts, mix is 1gr shatter 2ml puff majic original. 1 hit for anxiety relief, 2 hits for fun, 3+ hits for bedtime.

Always just lurk on here because I don't use a RDA much but I liked your post. Except for the sad part. Its not sad I think its good. I rarely combust since I found Puff Majic. Using it almost exclusively all year and my lungs have never been better. I used to get nasty chest problems every couple of months and I haven't had one since I been using Majic vapors.

On the Aerotank do you get much seeping at the bottom? I have a couple and always put them away when I get a seep out the bottom. I hate leaks. I love the quality of the Aerotank though. Sweet piece. But I use the K1's more because they never leak on me. When you say invisible wick coils do you mean the ones with hole in the metal part instead of the wicks sticking out or is this something new I haven't seen yet?

I'll have to report back on the seeping. I've used the regular aerotank v2 for my nic ejuice at a 70%pg / 30% vg blend and had very little seeping through heavy daily usage. This little mini version seems identical mechanically.

The invisible wicks are the ones just inside of the atomizer housing with the holes, yep! Had a lot of luck with them up to 15 watts with nic ejuice.

That's the ones I got. The seeping isn't much. Just the tinyist bit at the bottom when I take them off.

Im probably just paranoid. Sometimes weed does that to me:mental:. Back in the day I had a bunch of the old wick tanks dump a whole load of juice in my pen and kill it.

i find that rebuilding the newer kanger heads helps fight leaking. i replace the silica with readyXwick.

I am new to ecigs but I have my first box mod coming today, I got the Innokin iTaste MVP 3.0 Pro Starter kit. Comes with the MVP 3.0 Pro box mod and the Innokin iSub G Tank. Would it be possible to vape my oil out of this? If not could I just get a different tank or? All help/advice is appreciated, thanks!

you can, but you will need to turn your oil (shatter, wax, whatever) into a liquid for use in the tank.

check out Bloomsdays "EJmix" or Puff Magic. both companies offer a base liquid that can be mixed with oil for use in tanks and other liquid atomizers. these products are proven to keep it mixed. so no worries about it separating after the initial mix.

enjoy!

Awesome, thanks for the fast reply! Does vaping oil make the tank/coils go bad quicker compared to regular juice? Also, how is the high from vaping the dabs compare to doing a normal dab from my rig?

so is the evic still the go to TC device for the alpha centauri? no call to go the dual 18650 route with a tesla or something like that? Loving this thing on my SVD, can wait to try it with temp control!

well i dont ecig for nic juice so i cant speak to if the errl juice will gunk the coils faster than nic juice or not. i can say that they seem to work just great for an errl mix. i just use a kanger aerotank mini and build the coils myself although the stock coils work well also.

and when you do dabs from your rig you are essentially vaping it. unless of course your nail is too hot then your burning the errl. the difference (aside from flavor obviously) between straight errl and errl juice...? well the juice is "cut" so the only difference is that it will take more rips of a mixed juiced to get to the level of straight errl, but the buzz is the same from what i can tell.

i would never advise going to liquid over straight errl unless you need the stealth. otherwise get yourself an RDA and build your own coils. then just slap a dab on that coil, put the cap back on, and blast off.

if you go back into the thread you will see dif kinds of coils for "dabbing" straight errl.

EDIT* there are also pre-manufactured coil/atomizer options that will thread onto your innoken box. check out the Delta 9 offerings. many FC members use their stuff and love it. i dont really stay up on the pre-made stuff because i enjoy building. not to mention its much less expensive to do it yourself, but there are some great options for those who dont want to mess with building. wanted to add that.

Just got my istick today. I am waiting on ni200 wire, but the ni200 coil in the kanger subtank is working very well for TC vaping nic juice.

I haven't ever touched any of the other isticks, but the build quality on this seems to be very good. My wire should be coming in tomorrow, so I will update after I get a coil made.

Just tested out a 28ga, 0.15ohm ni200 DBC. The device shows it is getting up to temp, and the wax is melting down and saturating the coil, but I am getting next to no vapor production. This is at 500f.

Any ideas?

my evic is usually set to 550f. i know the evics run a little cooler than other TC mods. maybe this is also the case with eleaf chips...?

are your leads securely tightened?

the device will keep the temp of the wire at where you set it. so with a DBC your oil gets wicked into the RXW and its held around the wire, but not always touching the wire. the area AROUND the wire must get to vaping temps. so sometimes that means increasing the heat of the wire.

i want to get another TC mod to experiment with.

Its hardly any better at 600f (top of the range). I can taste it, but it takes about 3 long draws to feel anything. I misspoke... I am using 30 ga.

Everything seems tight, resistance is locked and reading steady.

I was wondering about the contact between wire and RXW myself. I'm not sure how to improve that. Can you get bigger wire than 28ga? If I went too much bigger I am not sure I could fit that long of coil on my igo-l.

what did you build the ni200 on? a kanger rba head or a dripper? Sounds you have airflow problems. How tight is the coil on the RxW. Ni200 need good airflow to keep it out of TC. Can i got some pix of your coil build. IGO-L his 1mm airhole...you would need to build the coil right next to it..I also have a IGO-L but i drill out the airhole to 3mm years agos. ONe of the worest airflow rda.

Its an igo-l. The air flow is pretty horrible. It worked on kanthal so I haven't drilled it out yet.

I can place the hole right over the coil, buy even with the top off there is hardly any vapor. Maybe I'll try to blow across it with the top off.

I'll try to get some pics up sometime this weekend. I didn't take my time building it, but after poking around and looking at the underside it looks like it should work fine.

Maybe I need to try a microcoil inside the rxw. That would have better contact for sure.

@growinsmoke are you a previous vaper or smoker? There are many possible things taking place, but one of them is expecting thick smoke-like clouds.

If you heat erl to the boiling point of the actives, they can boil and vaporize just as transparent as water vapor, i.e. steam, and steam is only visible if it's very very dense. On all the optimal vaporizers I've used, the vapor is wispy, barely visible, and quite strong. At the highest temps it's more opaque and more sedating.

A lot of people come from smoking, or from cloud-chasing with VG-rich e-liquids, and are disappointed with the vapor from c-vaping. That was true even with the Magic Flight Launch Box. So they push the temp and power to make thick clouds -- and they do, but it's by partial decomposition -- into irritants and toxins. I'm using Kanger ProTank2s and Sapphires, and the vapor is invisible.

There could be malfunctions in your setup too, but make sure you gauge the vapor by results, not visuals. And of course if you're diluting the erl, take that into account, with your tolerance, and the rate of wicking and evaporation. Maybe your 3 tokes is about right initially? The way I get the MPT2 to work is by saturating the wick with EJ-Mix to prime it, as the Puff people advise too. The Erl then flows in well when warmed up, but the intial tokes are of course weak. Best success 2 ya!

... 1 hit for anxiety relief, 2 hits for fun, 3+ hits for bedtime.

I hear ya, the flowers offer more strain-specific medicine, but ... Well, at least in Calif we're seeing a lot of erls, even pre-filled carts, with very specific strains, and they generally act like what they're claimed to be. That's some consolation ;-) So your scale is hits of what? I have a dozen carts with specific strains in them. 1 hit of X for anxiety, 1 hit of Y for energy, 2 hits of Z for bedtime ;-)

I've been vaping straight concentrates on an ecig rig for over 2 years now. I'm used to not seeing much vapor, but right now I can barely see a whisp coming off the atomizer.

I'm just not anywhere near the one hitter quitters I achieved without temp control. I've have hardly touched concentrates for 2 or 3 weeks now, so my tolerance should be fairly low.

sounds like something isnt right. my evic produces crazy tasty clouds.

oh and be carefull with the micro or nano coil inside the RXW. ive tried this with kanthal and it just pokes through the sides of the RXW. considering that Ni wire is softer than kanthal it may not do that.

I love your racing-look rig, that orange and dark grey is SO cool! And I can't wait for my own temp control rig to arrive. Like the Clicker sez, somethin's isn't right. If it muz wine, I'd try it opened up, reading the coil assembly with an IR thermometer, and see if you're anywhere near that 500 deg F you're aiming for. Any way you could do something like that? Got some basic tools like a geigercounter, an electron microscope, a small cyclotron and a 2 kilowatt CO2 pulsed laser?

I wound a basic coil over RxW and that dab kicked my ass. It was .15ohms. I then tried a much smaller DBC than what I am used to and had decent results, but still not as good. I think I just need to find a RDA that gives me a little more space. Good airflow definitely is key.

I didnt have luck with coils inside rxw. Because of the low length of the wick it just fell apart.

yep that will def work also. try this... wrap a micro coil, 28 or 30g Ni, and slide the med size RXW over it. then wrap another Ni coil over the RXW and twist the leads together. heating from the inside and out.

i have a stumpy RDA that should be here soon. as well as a foot of the largest size RXW. the stumpy provides a ton of room. and the RDA that @ArchVape recently posted provides basically the whole deck. the name escapes me. looks pretty cool. anyway, im looking forward to the real estate that the stumpy provides. that and the XL size RXW should be a nice combo. i gonna try an "in out" coil on that stuff.
