I need help!! A disaster just happenned to me.

I left the nano on the couch with me and some gray tape (plastic) from my TV remote melted on a small part of the heater port screen. It's not a lot but I need to clean it up. It smells like plastic at the moment (but it doesn't go deep inside the tube just the tip of the screen).

Is it possible to remove the screen part of the heater port? I can see on my nano there's some kind of indentation close to the screen part of the heating tube. Can you remove and replace it?

If I can remove the screen part I will be able to clean it completely.

Any help or suggestion is welcome.

Honestly, I would send it in for service - I'm sure they'll take care of you.

Did anyone have to sign for their Nano package? My tracking number still shows "pre-shipment" after a week, but USPS tracking is atrocious and so is my local USPS branch. They will often fail to deliver a package due to lack of signature and not even leave a door tag to let me know. Then I have to show up to the post office and deal with rude workers who don't believe me when I said a door tag wasn't left...again.

Call Nadia at Epicvape. Some of us had to bring that to her attention because it also said pre shipping for a week for a few of us. I'm not sure what is going on with that? A phone call will solve the problem. After I called I received mine in 2 days. I don't know if it's with USPS or what?

Cool, will give that a shot. Thanks!

Edit: Hm, well, no answer but I got their voicemail, left a message with my order number and a callback number. I just noticed the Premium Walnut is back in stock too...wonder if they'd let me pay the ~$15 difference or so and "upgrade".

Pre-shipping means postage was paid, a label was printed, and USPS notified via whatever system they use to print their postage.

They may have to wait for a pick up after that, or to drop things off. Whatever their method is.

That said, USPS doesn't always scan packages when they are received. Many times they only scan on the way out of the origin point, and sometimes not until your package is well on it's way. They can be a bit wonky with that stuff.

Yeah, I'm very familiar with this, which is why I figured I would ask. There also seems to be a significant delay between the actual scan and when the tracking site is updated. Amazing how UPS gets this right and they get this so, so wrong, but with their budget issues I guess I can't be too surprised.

Could be USPS, could be Epic, may be a little of both. If you're interested in the Premium Walnut, definitely let Nadia know when you get in touch with her. If it hasn't gone out yet, I'm sure they'll let you upgrade.

I don't know about opening it up to get the screen out. With @Ratchett on this - may be better to send it in. But, if you can get it out yourself a little acetone should clean the goo off. I'd then clean well with ISO and finally with hot water. Let us know how you make out.

Newer Nanos don't use a clip. The groove the screen fits into is machined deeper than older units. It is possible to replace the screen but it's not easy. I can send you a replacement and wish you luck, or you can send it back and I'll replace it for you no charge, just pay shipping both ways.
I'm in the same situation as this nanoist (CPdragon).

How do you remove the screen? Can you just pull it with some pliers?

Personally, I'd send it to Epic and have Andy just replace it.

But, would definitely contact him in IM or email to get instructions on how to do it easiest if you're going to have a go at it, and ask nicely if he will give you a free pass on not voiding your warranty. He may give some tips, but don't know if he would post them here in open thread. I wouldn't if I were him. Seems like the kind of thing that could lead to a lot of headaches in the long run.

How do ýour get in contact with EPICVAPE?

The glass GonG's are the best!

Every time that I have called Epic (4 times) Nadia has answered the phone. They close at 6:00 not sure when they open? I would assume 9 or 10AM West Coast time.

I like the glass screen - very easy to clean. I use a medium to a course grind, I have to use my plastic grinder my stainless 3 piece really nice grinder gets things too fine for the glass screen. I don't want too much herb fly up into the stem.

I'm using less herb in the oven than when I use the basket screen stems. It's just another way to enjoy our fav log vape. I have a bit of the grape tonight one of my fav strains GrapeApe - the taste is superb in the Nano.

Happy vaping friends - what a beautiful summer night.:)
