This is the only 18mm female egg I can find on DHGATE. Also the largest at 13.5" tall and the "EGG" itself being over 6" tall and a full 12" when I wrapped a tape measure around it.

Definitely considering it now. The Solo's my daily driver, does it work well with the sunshine egg?
Also seems to be more expensive than most of the good fab eggs on dhgate, e.g cmengglass, CCG egg etc.... Would it be worth getting this one over one of the others? I guess i'd be happy as long as the sunshine egg functioned just as well, and hey its got the 18mm joint

EDIT: @rakka Its a matter of Preference with the EGGS. The Sunshine Store EGG is more expensive but much larger than the others also an 18mm. I can say this, the SSS Egg is a BEAST!! It's also the same amount as the Straight Egg but these are two totally different animals!
The Straight Egg is absolutely awesome, but its something about this SSS Egg.

Hey man... it happens. Get with him and get it straightened out. But, there is always going to be some of this when you're buying a Chinese piece of glass for $45 (incl shipping half way around the world) that is copying (actually a modified copy) a $350 bubbler.
Really only see two options.... pay the piper nearly 10 times more, or play Chinese glass roulette. Odds aren't really that bad - though they do seem to be getting worse with Steven.

I've gotten 6 pieces of DHgate glass in 2 years from 3 different sellers and only had one come with an issue that made it unusable (pinhole leak) and for that one baddie the seller refunded me with no resistance or negotiating.
Just adding my experience to the mix.
IMO the best seller is Sunshine Store followed by Yingmin5. I am 1/1 with Stevenlmz, piece delivered fast, no problems, great quality.

This IS glass, folks. It breaks sometimes. The most expensive piece I've bought was from an American blower that came broken, so it's not just the Chinese pieces.
I'm not saying you can't be annoyed, but you certainly shouldn't be too surprised. As long as they make it right (or acceptable) than it should be all good.

Yes, glass is made to break. And the same thing happenned to me, I posted my story here.
But somethings up with stevens glass lately. It's obvious.
Not just lately, I've seen complaints about Steven going back as far as we've done business with him. He is NOT what I consider a top quality vendor (I'm sorry if I'm brand-bashing. Please let me know if you think I'm harping on Steven too much)

With most of the chinese vendors it's all about the quality of the pieces relative to their cost. That is all that really matters. With Steven it is more than that. He is actually following OUR interests and trying to make what we ASK him to make. We don't really have that with any of the others, at least in such a big way, so I think it reasonable to allow for more mistakes. Not what Rachett has been through with him, but generally a little more "lenience"... I couldn't be anything but pissed if I was Rachett, so I certainly get that.
If we could get SSS to do custom stuff we would jump on that, but... Yingmin has done a couple alterations, but I'm not aware of anyone else doing our designs, or even their interps of them.
Once they see something work big, they all jump. Look at the fabs.

I think Steven is doing a good job working with multiple people to get designs out the masses. I got a v2 UFO in yesterday and the base is bigger and the slits better, it hits really well. I am just not sure what people expect for products which are generally less cost than an quarter ounce of herb!
I have two American pieces which wobble and one with a joint which isn't perfectly round. It's par for the course IMO when dealing with glass.
With China glass, my take on it is that, as long as I get a functional piece with not too many odd angles etc, I am happy. So far with Steven I have had one piece come smashed which he replaced with my following order. With CCG,i had an egg come with closed slits, and they offered to replace that too.
But everything else has been well made and came in a timely fashion.
From the pictures of your v2 it looks similar to mine. Does yours function? I would say that a wobbly base and uneven slits wouldn't be enough to boycott a vendor.
To each their own though and I appreciate everyone has different standards when it comes to the cost/quality ratio...

My only complaint was Steve sent me the wrong piece. I agreed to the negotiations in which he quickly presented once he realized I had a problem. I was still mad but, that's neither here, nor there. The piece i received was a extremely high quality. Also the Straight Egg I received a week later was hands down one of the best pieces I've ever seen from China. I don't care what I
paid for that Straight Egg, It's worth at least $600!! And I don't sale my glass nor would I!
I had a conversation with Steve when he contacted me that went like.......

I would like to tell you that FC is a community of consumers from worldwide and from numerous countries. We come together to share the best places to shop for prices and quality and the best CUSTOMER SERVICE!! You are beginning to get a bad reputation for Quality Control and Customer Service. People are getting wrong pieces, broken pieces, pieces with uneven bases, cooked percs, and hairline cracks in glass. Although you offer to refund percentages or give discounts on future purchases, to many people this is unacceptable! When people pay for something they expect get what they pay for! If you send people wrong pieces or defective pieces, just send them a new piece or give them their money back! An angry upset customer will spend hours online and telling friends how they got a bad deal from you. Their has been a lot of complaining customers about you in the last couple of weeks. Mike from SunshineStore sends new pieces if it's not right, no questions asked. I'm just telling you this because you have been working with us And trying to help us, so I'm trying to help you!

Yes,you are right,I met a problem that broken percentage is high,we are try to want to solve this problem.I am a bigger factory,before I shop produtcs by containers,at the end of last years,I just start my online business,we are lack experience of shipping and service for one or two piece orders,I get many useful advices from Andrew,hope can get some form you too.
But I almost can sure that my glass is the best in dhgate,thick glass,good making,bes service(I can sure all piece are not broken,but I can promise that for all problem piece,I can replacement or disocunts,I don't let my customer loss a cent)
Sometimes I want make severial colors,but for FC order,genneral is small,genneral 50 pcs/batch,also FC friends like clear,so I always produce clear.

I recieved my recycler or d cycler if that's what it's referred to as now..I recieved it 9 days after I ordered from kathy..and this tho gs was bomb proofed and that is no joke..I'm talking about rolls of bubble tape..piece is very nice..few scratches..and it was wet??but overly super nice and fast..I didn't as for a female to female drop down but she sent me two female to male drop down of both sizes..plus the bowl and the regular other accesories..I ordered fc 186 from Steven at same time and no sign of it yet..where should the water level go on the recylet?

The best water level I've found for my dcycler is right below the 'uptake' arm that takes the water to the vortex chamber. Ours my vary slightly as mine is a custom model from ephanglass with a female joint, but our water level will probably be the same.
Funny, the base on my V2 is smaller than the base on my v1. It functions better than my V1, that's for sure, it nearly fires the whole way around the perk, and it's not quite as wobbly of a base.
Will I permanently boycott Steven? I don't think so. You do make valid points, he is listening to our requests and making changes based on our feedback.
It's clear that Steven is making an effort to remedy the problems (making changes to the designs and such). And I hope his quality will increase with time. Maybe 6-12 months from now I'll give him another chance and order something else, but not right now.

I totally get you being pissed. I sure would be after waiting so long for a correction to a shitty piece and getting one that has some of the same issues! Pretty sure I would be even more pissed than you've shown here.
Still think the main problem is that he is trying to move too fast for what he is trying to do. And, guess that is understandable with all of the whining I see on here about "Where is my piece?", "Why isn't this new one available, yet?" . Would guess he gets many pestering emails along the same lines. Combine the fact that he is trying to create things and tweak based on our requests, and QC is bound to suffer.
Doesn't anybody else remember back in the day (8-9 months ago!) when if you wanted a customization you had to do it yourself or take to a local blower, and 6 weeks was average time from order to doorstep?
Not excusing Steven on some of his recent flubs, and hope he is trolling here to get our comments, but also think some of these problems are to be expected with where things have evolved to this point.
Glad my glass collection has reached the point that I don't really need anything, and shelf space is tight so not real anxious to add anything new. I'm going to sit back and see how things develop for the time being.

After Cannabis Connoisseur recommended Stevens str8fab and then mentioned its size, I got super excited.
I have a new baby AND a disability. Needless to say, i need to do an amazing job at keeping my medical device hidden.
I saw this online and got totally obsessed, of course I refuse to afford it (I do however feel the artists deserve to charge what the market will allow)
Fwiw, I tried to just roll joints, but the cough isn't worth it.
It seems like this is the inspiration for Stevens str8fab.
Is this just a concentrate rig?
I primarily use flowers, but have a 14mm banger, and a 14-18 drop down, and have very easy access to premium co2....
Will it function well for both?

just on the funds thing, as i undersstand dhgate they release the funds when you acknowledge delivery does this happen irrespective of disputes etc?

Disputes are almost always in favor of the buyer. DHgate is playing escrow, technically they are the seller. Dhgate moved mountains to fix the problem when I ordered something near cny and after six weeks I yelled directly at dhgate and they tried to say no. So I informed them that I was calling my credit card and that it was in the best interest of everyone to just refund. The next email contained the resolution in my favor. It's not a threat, it's a reaction to being decieved/frauded. To the gentleman wig he wrong piece, that's fraud. Your credit card would side with you instantly. It is normal for glass to break, but again, you ordered a non broken item. They must fix, or cc will side with you.
PayPal is great about this. I use my paypal MasterCard a lot.
I should point out that I have an online store, and deal with both sides of this often. You should not feel bad about it if you feel like what you are doing is honest. Unfortunately people abuse this, and they should feel remorse
