32 hours over a month would be around 1 hour per day, so depends how many sessions and how long they are you get through, if you do four 15 mins per day or six 10 mins per day this would be about right

Could just be new toy syndrome I think we have all caught that at some point, on the other hand you hear a lot about how much less vaping uses, but IMO it depends on how you used before hand, like you i was a big one hit/bong user and i could use less in that situation than most vape bowls will hold, but if you were big on J/roll ups then you will use a lot less, the liquid pad can be used to make smaller bowls if thats important but for me i enjoy vaping a whole lot more than i ever did combusting (it took a little while for me to appreciate the difference but once i got it i was sold, my highs are so much higher now and i love it almost as much as my lungs do)

Few things here...is your bud cured? This can make a big difference depending on strain.
For some particles can cause irritation maybe try a finer screen in the cooling unit (i have done this myself but more to keep the CU free of particles for easier reclaim) or even some water filtration even just a more coarse grind (hand tear maybe)
Or could it be that the vapour is so smooth you don't notice your limit and inhale past it (try shorter pulls and work your way up to find your sweet spot same with temps)

I have some saved up (around 3oz) but most of mine is done and not worth saving after I'm finished with it. So only saving the odd bowl its taken a while to collect but my jar should be full next few weeks so will give it a try maybe some butter (seems easy enough) if it works great its free if not then meh i ain't lost anything.

And welcome to FC , if you haven't read through the 'best of' for the crafty its a good read lots of tips.

Mine is v02.05 and was bought from vapefiend as a 2015 model (with firmware and moulding) so think your good

Even if not its not a big deal, the last few pages have some great examples of customer service and there are 2014 units with many hours and no problems IMO if you do have any issues it will be within the 2 year warranty so worst case scenario is you end up with a brand new crafty at some point ( if having to get a new free crafty is a bad thing)

You sound like me, my useage went up a bit when I switched to vaping and I have a high tolerance. I don't lean on my crafty as a daily driver though, it's more of a luxury stealth machine for me. I would consider a mighty or perhaps a plug-in unit as a daily driver, or you may end up leaning on the crafty to hard

I'm currently using my Crafty as a daily driver as I slowly transition back into vaping. It works amazingly and with pass through charging the battery isn't too much of an issue, but as @grokit suggests, a desktop unit is looking pretty desirable right now

I've been using an lsv lately, along with my sublimator and versa infinity.
For portables I do love the crafty, but still use my lotus and firefly from time to time.

If anybody needs any 14mm specially made adapters for crafty and mighty made on the 3d printers at namastevapes. Namaste vapes has their own line of glass water attachments along with their very own 14mm adapters so head over to the site if you don't see it contact kory.

Man so I had to valet some cars, got to drive this 600hp fuckin stealth bomber of a whip. 300K. I didn't know how expensive this ride was until I looked it up later at home. That being said,

As for temperature, what do people normally do?

1/ Leave it at the pre-set temps; they're fine
2/ Adjust to a different set of temps and leave them there (suggestions?)
3/ Keep their phone out and be constantly adjusting during a session to start at 180c and go up to right before combustion (or some other arbitrary level) bit by bit?

Monday is one of my off days. I'm sitting here cursing myself, waiting for the Crafty to charge. I agree. A desktop would be ideal right now. Do they tend to conserve more than a portable? Do they get you higher? Any suggestions?

I use 190°C with a 20° bump (210°C). I haven't found the need to "temperature surf" as I like the current temps just fine. YMMV.

I use the Volcano as a daily and find the crafty to be the perfect complement to it. The cano gets "me" higher than the crafty, but YMMV. The crafty is one of the most frugal vapes I've used. The cano is very efficient as well, especially in groups of 2 or more, but it can be a bit of a hog if you really want to get ripped.

Gonna try this . Saw some iPhone cases with extra battery power on the bottom and got me thinking about how cool it would be to have an external battery pack that clipped onto the crafty

See my perception of the Mighty isn't just the additional battery; as you're alluding to.

You avoid all of the potential bluetooth issues (which seem to be insane and frequent for non ios users)

What if your phone dies? What if the app becomes unresponsive?

With the Mighty, you avoid all of that completely.

You are not only getting the battery, you are getting that assuredness that your vaping won't be disrupted by technical issues.

This is coming from someone who is a Crafty lover. I have never even hit the Mighty, but from everything I have gathered reading through these threads, that's what I believe the difference to be.

I just honestly think they both have their places. I don't own a Mighty, but looking at it, I would really hate to carry it to some of the places I do take my Crafty.

The app issues aren't as bad as it sounds either. The problems are mostly with droid users, ( And we all know this is going to get fixed. ) but in the meantime the default temps work very very nicely. It's not like the device is unusable without the app.

I would love to own both, and someday I may, but honestly I think pointing to either as "Better" because it will do something the other wont, is probably a mistake that misses the whole point of there being two to choose from. We all have different needs at different times. I think SnB knew what they were doing when they decided to release not one, but two new portables.

I've noticed that when i'm changing the screen in the bowl my heat up time decreases so if your crafty is taking long to heat up change the finer screen. Also i've bought a Space Case 4pc grinder (small) and i'm not that happy with it, first the price is ridiculous second the holes are too big, i get a very course grind. My old 4piece grinder which cost me 15 euros is performing equal maybe better then a grinder that cost me 50 bucks.

Really surprised to hear you aren't happy with the Space Case. It converted me personally, never buying another cheap one. If you need a finer grind then turn the grinder upside down and do a few turns before turning it back and letting the herb fall through, you'll get a much finer grind. The Crafty doesn't need s super fine grind like conduction vapes though, it extracts pretty well from even very coarsely ground herb.

Get a Santa Cruz Shredder, it's the last grinder you'll need!

I agree that most of these high end grinders have holes that are too big. They should have an alternate middle piece with smaller holes for that price. (Have a santa cruz shredder as well)

Well said! I failed to mention that about the sacrifice in size. I was blown away when I opened the Crafty box for the very first time. I didn't anticipate it to be so compact. I love the way the straw, or mouthpiece is quickly rotatable using the ball of your thumb, while the unit can be tucked up your shirt sleeve.


I have an improvement for the Crafty. If the one-minute shutoff is about to engage, how about a small tone, an alert other than just "I'm off now, buzz." Gimme a little warning. I personally think the user's should be able to disable that feature altogether in the menu, or extend it to 1.5 minutes, or 2 minutes.
