I have noticed that the finer the grind the better my experience! It is browning nicely now. All I had to do was invert my 4pc grinder.

How often are you guys charging your batteries? I read somewhere in this thread that it is best to not drain your battery completely before charging. I've been charging my batteries after each trench and I'm getting 3-5 hits per trench.

If you like having a fresh battery per trench then you can charge after each trench but it will take a toll on your batteries life. If you're only taking 3-5 hits per trench then you should have plenty of juice left in your batteries to use for another trench or two.

awhile ago i picked up some 2700's(no white cap on top) and they worked great. now no matter how hard i push them in or twist n turn, i can't get any heat. i have some 2400's with the white cap on top and they work fine... anybody have any idea why that is? is it the pushring?

My 2700s randomly stopped, too. At least I got the newer batteries with my box, and those do work great.

They got new stock batteries?

I feel like my batteries are losing life, still using the stock ones. Never upgraded to fancy powerex ones because I didn't feel the need..

I got the ones that came with that writing on the sides (it rubbed off by now). When I came to ask where I should buy new 2700s to replace my non-working 2700s, I was told that the new (at the time) stock batteries with the writing work great. I had never noticed the stock batteries being weak, but wanted to try a stronger battery. After hearing that the stock ones I got were good, I stopped looking into it as much. I still get where I'm going, so no problem here.

I had issues with my PA during the first week, but its been working fine since then. (My issues dealt with the connection I believe, as I was able to twist and turn the battery/push it in more to get a connection)

Anyway, you shouldn't have to push it in. If working correctly, you insert the battery and push the button on the end -- no force applies during hit.

So MF have been great, true to their reputation...and have of course offered to replace it and offered some advice which I will copy below in case someone else has the same problem

From MF:
Please make sure the PA is unplugged while doing this.

1.) Acquire paper clip
2.) Unfold it and form into a U shape
3.) Insert both ends of the U into the tiny holes on either side of the
button.
4.) Begin carefully screwing to tighten. Test out the PA to see if this
helps.
5.) If you make too tight, loosen a bit until it works just right.
6.) Do this same thing on the positive side of the button, by inserting
the paper clip in the two little holes on that end.

An other thing to try is, apply pressure against the heat dial, while
turning it. I've been informed that sometimes it can get a little stuck
and applying pressure seems to move it away from the bits that are making
it stick to the textured edge. Lastly, I know it's hard but, if you can,
check to see if the battery is actually making contact with the metal ring
inside the battery hole, on the box. If the battery size differs slightly,
it can potentially effect the performance, as it needs the ring to make
contact to heat the rails, and light the light.

The heat dial seems ok to me, but it does rub on the upper edge of its hole.
I think it is most likely a connection issue, I noticed that there is a thin black ring on the edge of the battery section where it makes contact with the negative terminal and that this ring doesnt go all around, so perhaps there is lessened/no contact there. The "battery" section of the adapter does feel less tight fitting than when i use a regular battery.

The first time I used my PA, I noticed the light wouldn't get that bright at the highest setting, and like you said MF said to do, I put slight pressure horizontally on the dial as I rotated it vertically (push on the inside edge towards the outside, while simultaneously rotating) and the dial went higher and the light was much brighter.

I was minutes away from recording a video of it not working and sending it to MFLB to prove the issue, but all of a sudden, everything was back to normal. I believe it had to do with the connection between the PA battery and the box. I kinda just kept trying to push it in more and what not (I have a Pushback ring in) and it kinda just started working. The period where it was fucked up only lasted about 3-5 hours or so, but it was very frustrating, haha.

i have an older box and sometimes a fresh battery will not make a good connection. I just twist the battery and it works perfectly.

not sure if the PA works differently, but thought id share anyway.

I dont check these boards that often , was wondering if MF released any other information about the concentrate pad or whatever they had in the works?

expect a decently long wait, they are still going through pre-production for that nifty little item. they said that even beta testing wouldn't be happening for a good while.

baaaaaaaaaa i guess ill have to buy a vapor globe/curve then..i was hoping to be able to use this little box.

Some people drop oil on one designated corner of their box, one tiny dollop at a time, and say that it hasn't compromised their box noticeably. Comb the thread for some info and pics.

Yes the PA breathes new life into the box, I suspect even people who have cool running boxes would get clouds with the PA.

If you are using the PA then you don't need the pushback ring. On the other hand, the long nub on the PA is there so it will work with a pushback ring in place. Since it's easy to remove and replace, I'd take the ring out and put it in only when I'm using batteries.

Mine stopped working completely yesterday, very frustrating. I tried pushing it in harder, but that didn't work. Then I tried tightening the rings on both ends, but they were already snug. I wiggled all the connections and still nothing. I was ready to cry--and then I finally noticed that someone had pulled the plug out of the wall.

HA! Classic. I literally did the exact same thing. I took the PA out for a ride last night down to the hockey game. I got home late and just set the PA on the arm of my couch where it belongs. I picked it up like an hour ago to get my first vape sesh in and freaked out for a sec until I remembered that I never plugged it in!

Strange question, but I'll pose it here since the MFLB is the only vape I own and use daily. Does anyone else get a hangover-type thing going in the morning if you vape close to bedtime/large quantities at night? I wake up every morning feeling like absolute shit after I rip the box and it's getting to be annoying Wish I could wake up clear-headed.

That sounds more like your herb than the box....

I try not to vape right before I go to sleep. Usually my last vape sesh is maybe 1.5 - 2 hours before I go to sleep. Clear headed every morning. Maybe someone can elaborate more....

I quit wake-n-vaping a few months ago and I'm glad I did. I usually try to wait until 3-5pm before my first sesh. Some days if I get done working early I'll have an after lunch sesh. I work in front of a computer alot and found that when I woke up and vaped around 8am I would be falling asleep by 10.
