I don't mind a wobbly stem, this increases the airflow. IMO it's more flavorful, it just might be me. I only used a o-ring for a little while. I place my index finger on the stem, just out of habit to support the mouth piece. It's a personal preference thing. I also don't use a screen but I used to.

Whatever way works for you. There are many ways to enjoy the Solo, it's very versatile, different types of mouthpieces. To use a Water Tool or not.

Really? My clouds weren`t as good when I didn`t have it in.

It may be that I have just gotten used to the draw resistance. I had the Solo for a couple months when I got the o-ring with the GonG. I use water most of the time now so I don't get much use of the stocks stems anymore.

Idk ur money situation nor do i want to...if i had hella weed id be quicker to pack a fresh stem after a 5-6 hits. Thats all

All good man. Like i said everyone has a different story to tell and the solo allows us all to use it in our own ways with similar results. That's probably why its so popular. Its pretty much fool proof.

For those who want updates on the issue of odor "Hot Electronics" or smell of plastic produced by new Arizer alone, I wanted to inform you that I asked about the Arizer. This is my message: zion47 wrote : Arizer Hi, I wanted to ask a question came out when purchasing a new Arizer Solo. As soon as I turned it on and put in charge the device, once it began to heat began to enact a smell of plastic. At first I thought it was a temporary problem that would disappear making it continue to operate in a vacuum, but now after almost 3 hours of operation that smell does not go away again. For this reason I wanted to inform you that I am very concerned about this problem, because it is known to all the problems that can give toxins plastic, and having chosen a vaporizer to eliminate the risk of absorbing toxic substances, I would like you provided us an explanation and in case there was also a solution because until I receive I have no intention of using the only thinking that can do harm to my health this is the answer, Arizer wrote: Hello ***

Thank you for your email.

All new appliances/products have a new product/appliance smell and need to burn off any residuals from the packaging etc. The battery and components are enclosed in a separate unit away from the heater and air flow. We have carefully sourced our parts from all over the world and have gone to great lengths to source and use only safe parts, from glass to silica free ceramics, there are no glues, the pcb's are lead free, all accessories are all medical/food grade & temperature rated. All structure materials used inside are safe non-toxic materials and are heat rated to much higher temperatures then the heater can reach.

After some use the new smell will fade away and there is nothing to be concerned about with your Solo unit.

If you have any further questions please feel free to ask!

Best Regards,

I suspect so. They're common 'vinyl caps', the nominal size is 1/2 inch. Like these:
http://www.amazon.com/JEGS-Performa...TF8&qid=1420647043&sr=8-1&keywords=vinyl+caps

Sometimes you find them in auto parts stores as well, as they're used to 'cap off' vacuum lines. Some (thicker or harder) rubber caps don't work, but the vinyl ones stretch just fine.

BTW, lip balm caps (like "Chapstick" brand) should also work (they fit AA batteries well in MFLB which is where the cap idea came from), although you might have to shim them with a strip of paper???

Haha ok now I get it, you want those first few monster tasty clouds and its on to the next! If only I had unlimited buds! Haha id be doing the same im sure

I usually run the Solo at level 5 or 6. I have a cough and cold, so I just can't run it that high or I have coughing fits. At level 3 and 4 I don't cough as much. To my surprise it works well and one bowl may actually last 12 minutes, I used to refill during a session. Either way is good, the ABV gets turned into
oil using QWET. I don't worry about using too much; so far medical cannabis users are still able to grow what they need in my state.

Chap Stick cap doesn't fit the stock stems or GonG for me. Too small and hard.

So my buddy got his new solo yesterday and we are waiting for his set of O-rings to come in the mail so we took out my O-ring and tried to insert it to his solo. Problem is that the cap would not close properly with the O-ring on and would keep twisting without it locking onto the body. Anyone possibly know what could be up as to why the O-ring causes the top to not close.

Yes, I bet over a hundred of us do. It's been discussed a LOT.

First off, you should not be putting an o-ring in if you have a brand new unit. You should have a reason past 'I read it on the web' to do any such modification I think.

That said, you can't just bung one in and call it done. You need to be sure it fits. There should be basically no pressure from the cap or you risk breaking the tabs on the bottom. You want it 'just touching', only enough to keep the ring from rotating. Don't clamp down on the ring with the cap to 'make it tighter', that's not how it's supposed to work. The ring should grip the stem normally and the cap grip the ring tightly enough to keep the stem from rotating. Keeping the stem from rotating is the whole reason for the mod.

To make it even more fun, there are two different thicknesses of caps. It seems the more modern ones are thicker than the older ones so the gap is smaller. Where as a 3/32 inch cord on the ring was the base before, it's now 1/16 inch. Planet Vapes sells both sizes. You can sand the thicker one down to fit, but it's lots easier to use the thinner one.

Again, no more than 1/4 turn on the cap after contact and it's only to stop the bent stem from twisting really and not always necessary or even useful. New Solos definitely don't need them. And it will increase draw restriction, usually seen as a bad thing.

The O-ring I got is from an authorized seller. It fits my solo just fine,, perfect actually. Even when I put my cap on his solo it fits just fine. Personally, I don't mind the draw restriction,my solo produced way more clouds than his at level 4. I Know clouds dont always mean everything but to me its important.

I had the same situation...mine worked fine..gave my friend one when he got a new solo(same model and retailer as mine). The O ring caused the top to almost strip, likewhen u spin it gets tighter and tighter than it pops up and ur back to square one...

The way we got it to work was similar to opening a medical container...pressure along with a slow spin until it seems like its tight enough...its not guna be 100% tight obviously cuz the o ring is in there but with patience and using gentle force we were able to get it!

I know exactly what you mean. Right now he has my cap and I have his cap since they seem to fit just fine like that. Now I have a silver solo with a black top!

Try packing some inexpensive cannabis in the unit and let it run on level 6 for a couple of sessions. You don't need to take a draw. If there's still a smell or funny taste after, contact Arizer again.

EDIT
Meaning if you have access to shake or leaf. Old, dried out weed.

There are so many posts it's hard to read thru them. It will take a while but hear is a heads up - there is a portable evo exhale going into production. If it is priced correctly it will give the solo some competition. If it is to expensive it will never catch up to the solo. And I don't think any device will catch up to this new azier air.

I'm gonna go so broke but these toys are so hard to resists. I think someone said I have all the signs of becoming addicted to buying vapes. How crazy is that - I only do this on the weekends and how many can you rotate in one session? Ok I know the posts are gonna start flying. LIMom you are so silly - you can rotate 10 20 infinity....

I wanted to buy the air, but now that I heard that vape xhale is coming out with a portable within the next 12 months I'm just going to save up for that. And if it doesnt come out maybe the air might be cheaper by then. But I'll stay with my solo and evo in rotation until then :)
