Most veteran MFLB users probably already know, but I feel like I have to throw this out there because I'm THAT medicated.

Answer for clouds in the MFLB: Kief!

Kief is GREAT in it! Put a small layer of finely grounded herb on the bottom of screen and top with kief for clouds!

Hey guys! Still loving my MFLB.

I'm looking to purchase some more batteries and have a question for those of you who have done so.

I've read reports of 2700s being too skinny? Also, hard to peel? Is there a better option for batteries? My current ones that came with my MFLB seem to do the job fine, but if anyone has any suggestions that'd be great. I could definitely benefit from more.

Also, does anyone think its worth investing in a new charger? Time is not an issue for me, so should I just stick with the standard one?

Thanks for any help!

All the 2700's ive had have been a perfect fit and an easy peel. Just gotta get a fingernail under where the label folds over itself on the either end of the batt. They always came off in a perfect piece for me with no residue or need to clean them

Sometimes I like to put a layer of kief on the bottom then normal grind on top. First hit will rock your world then I flip it and mix it in with the rest. A full trench of kief would put me in lala land :p

How does one deal with the fusion of kief? My herb trenches occasionally bind together, but it's not really that bad a little bit of poking around and a good shake and it's fine. Kief however, essentially turns into a bun :). It just becomes a solid... it's quite frustrating:p.

Is there any way to prevent that from happening? Maybe I should reduce the time of heat exposure ...

Don't use as much. Just enough for a small bead at the bottom of the trench. A little goes a long way.

i remember earlier in the thread someone folded a regular pipe screen and put hash into it and then the screen into the mflb
Do you guys think this would work well for keif also?

An AC or car adapter would be AMAZING to say the least! It's ideal for larger groups and it's an alternative power source if batteries are forgotten/ out of charge.

Can't wait to try one!

That is good to know, now i want one even more.

So if this is the "beta" version, does that mean that perhaps the MFLB team are working on a simpler, maybe smaller power adapter unit? That would be great if they could design it to be a little bit more visually attractive and less like a DIY project, in my opinion.

It would be hard to make it much smaller or simpler. Judging by the thought and engineering that went into the lift box itself, it seems reasonable to suppose they are going to tool up and create a consistent, professional-looking appearance for the thumb-wheel section. The probe part appears to be an off-the-shelf component they were able to source somewhere, so it is already looking quite good. I have no connection to the company so these are just observations and surmises on my part.

Don't get me wrong, I think the PA as of now is sufficient enough. I do like the homemade vibe you get from looking at it, goes well with the MFLB. This may go well for nights when I want a more powerful high than the MFLB, but less than the LSV.

I'll apologize in advance since this has probably already been asked, but are the PA's still only available to FC members who have posted in this MFLB thread before some specific date (or something to that extent)?

The LB easily made my Top investments list next to home and car!

And YES to the above comment, it's for FC members but i recently received info from MFLB saying that I could still receive prototypes for testing. idk?

pinoy,
Hey whats up everyone?

Just made an account here a minute ago, thought I'd get involved in the comments after reading most of the thread. Also interested in trying out a beta version of the AC Adapter so hopefully I can still get one, I'd be happy to share any comments I would have on it with you guys/the MFLB team, but so far have nothing but praise for the awesomeness of this little portable vape. Works great everywhere, just wish the batteries lasted longer but I guess, what can I expect using a tiny battery to heat up metal how quick it does..

Well, I'll be in here every once in a while if I have any questions or maybe if I could answer someone else, until then. VWED?

Kief would fall through the pipe screen. It isn't needed. Kief works great when you put it right on the LB screen. :2c:

I prefer to put it on top of some finely ground weed, so it doesn't get all in the screen but still get the huge clouds kief produces.

I do kief in the box a little differently than everyone else. When I load kief, I pack it VERY lightly with my finger so that it turns into one big chunk. I hit it like that without shaking or flipping or stirring until I'm not happy with the amount of vapor I'm getting and THEN I flip the whole thing over (it hardens on the bottom, but the top is still kiefy). I keep hitting it like that until again, I'm not getting enough vapor, and after that you can still even stir it around with a popsicle stick and maybe get one or two more hits out of it. My kief last me so long doing it this way, that sometimes,I have to burn through 2 batteries to finish my trench.

That's exactly how I vap my kief! Flip it like a pancake. It seems to work the best for me. :)

A further improvement to the pa not yet mentioned would be detents to the thumb wheel. About every 10 degrees would be about right. It would make repeatable settings easier.

I have also started gently tamping trenches with my finger to maximize herb to screen contact. Repeat after a few hits and shaking the lb is usually unnecessary.

Be careful touching the screen with your fingers. I thought I was doing it gently, but small tears appeared on the screen. I have big fat fingers, though, LOL.

For some reason the LB seems to result in more elevated planes of thought than other methods. Possibly because of the relatively low level of visible vapor I keep thinking nothing much has happened, then it hits...

What I did was take a tiny bit of paint, and marked both the wheel and the power adapter housing. I pretty much marked the power level that is similar to one of my fully charged batteries. That way I can always set it to what I am used to, and if need be I can turn it up or turn it down.

I have the Energizer 30-Minute Battery Charger which came with 4 AA batteries which is great and peeled easily but i want to know if my two batteries that came with the LB are compatible with them, anyone else have this model?

I don't have that charger or those batteries, but as long as those are NiMH; 2000mAh or above, i believe, I don't see a problem with them working on the MFLB..

Or were you asking if the charger works with the 2 batteries work with that charger? In that case, if they are the same type of battery I don't see why not, either.

I just googled and found this..

http://www.amazon.com/Energizer-30-Minute-Charger-NiMh-Batteries/dp/B0002IYP9M

is that what you have?

Just read up on what exactly this mAh is, apparently it's milliamp hours.
So those should just last a bit shorter, or the ones that came with the MFLB might take a bit longer to recharge?

Ya, I was asking the second one but both answer were helpful, thanks for the quick reply

cjb695,
I edited my post after I did some reading, cus really I had no idea what I was talking about, I was just assuming that if they are both NiMH they'd both work. Seems like those other 4 batteries you got don't hold as much power as the ones that came with the MFLB, but I think the charging process would still be the same, just might take a bit longer? I'm not sure

I just went back and read a piece of paper that came with my MFLB, and it says that it won't work with batteries less than 2000mAh, but if it's worked for you so far I don't see a problem. As for charging the batteries that came with it in that charger, it says using a charger that charges them in under an hour can shorten the battery life.

Do you think it would be better to have 6 batteries by getting this plus the 2 that came with the LB or getting two more batteries that came with the LB on amazon?

With detents adjusting can be done entirely by feel.
