Discontinued VapeXhale Cloud EVO

Me and my new evo got off to a bit of a rocky start today. Fed Ex left it at my door (I was home so was no problem) and when I took it out of the box it felt about 10 degrees (air temp). But, after reading on this thread that someone leaves theirs in the shed 24-7 I figured I'd plug it in and give it a whirl.

When I turned it on the light turned red for a few seconds then started flashing every few seconds. I made sure the plug was seated properly, plugged it into a new outlet, tried a different adapter all to no effect. When I was about to box it back and create a ticket, I figured I'd try again and voila! It's been working for a few hours now. Unless you experts think it needs to be looked at, I'm gonna chalk it up to the cold.

Anyway, i'm experimenting with it now. Definitely the best vape I've owned.

Shouldn't even tell you guys because I want to make sure I get one.. But check out the goddamn Swagger Turbine, I just came.

http://www.vapexhale.com/collections/hydratubes/products/swagger-turbine-1

Also found a pretty awesome generic hydratube that doubles as a bong. Has a cloud-buddy like stopper carb built in and sports a fritted disk, removable mouthpiece too seems very thin in diameter though. Can even switch the mouthpiece and carb to make it a more compact piece. Only $150 as honestly just going to go with that until I saw the turbine. Now I'm fucking torn up inside -_- Thought I'd share. I want to post on here all the time but for some reason I barely can ever log in. Just kinda times out. Really sucks because I love the site and am a paraphernalia addict.

http://glassblowersdirect.com/bubblers/ - its under fritted tube 18mm i believe. the glass stopper gives it away

EVO soon back in my hands from VapeXhale Labs. I feel kinda silly having sent it back. It worked fine but I thought it needed a firmware tweaking. But really, it was my lack of patience in getting to know the EVO. Being an original Cloud owner, I immediately expected dial results similar to my ticker, but I should've been more patient in testing. The VXH folks tested my EVO and showed me the results, which were right in line with what they expect and what I would hope for. Silly me.

But the VXH folks were oh so gracious, despite me wasting their time.

I can't wait to get my EVO back, apologize for doubting it, and then make sweet, sweet love to it. And by "make sweet, sweet love" I mean vape the shit out of three consecutive ELBs.

Peace!

so, right now i am vaping my way around the dial on the evo. i started at 9, moved to 12, and then to around 2, giving each temp 2 long hits each. i'm getting nice, visible vapor at each temp (with the 9, obviously being a little less dense and 2 milking up my mobius). i just looked into my elb and the material is still a barely yellowed green. the extraction from this vaporizer is so impressive.

well my evo is doing well after the first 12 hours. The clouds are milky and the herb result nice and dark, more so than the cloud+ I have been using.

Must admit though, not that impressed with my Swagger tube though. the female connector was welded in about 20 degrees off straight so it leans over on the stand and evo. Just looks off even through it does work. I would consider a second though.

Everything else is humming along :)

Almost there...
Decided to fire up the EVO last night again but this time only use the two cap method with pressed hash.

I turned the EVO to 12 and let her heat soak for a good 20 minutes.
Then turned her up to around 2pm and let heat soak for a further 5 minutes.
Nice and toasty on the top half but still not too uncomfortable to hold.

Grabbed a nice new ELB and 2 lids, one lid goes in the elb then a slice of crumbled pressed hash and the other lid goes inside the first.
ELB in EVO, Swagger glass on top and start a nice slow and steady inhale.
First one has faint vapor, the next one the tube is milky white, flavor is good and cloud is huge!
3 more good rips and then they start to fade.
A quick stir of the lid and we go again for a few rips.

I only managed two sessions this way and i was very medicated!
Another great night!

I simply don't get the size of clouds that people are getting on some of their glass. It takes a good two pulls for me to even get a decent cloud. I have it set at around 3 oclock too. I was wondering if my female joint was too big on my piece but it is a 18mm. The Cloud webpage is pretty description limited.

What i have noticed is that the first rip is usually quite thin but very tasty.
The second and subsequent rips are much thicker.
Startting the HT is quite challenging because there is quite a bit of drag until you get it going.
Once going it flows very well.
I also try short, sharp inhales for the first few small hits to try and warm up the contents of the ELB.
My buddy will put the ELB in and then the HT and wait a bit for the heat to saturate the ELB, then hit it after 30 seconds and see the results.

I have had my EVO for a week now and i am starting to feel comfortable around it.
Give it time, experiment more and also try a different herb if possible.

What kind of glass piece are you using?

I've tried through the HT, Ion Matrix, and a large double honeycomb piece. My Plus can white wall all three at 3 on the dial but the EVO just cannot even on max. I have tríed many different draw speeds as well.

I simply don't get the size of clouds that people are getting on some of their glass.

This how I feel as well. I just was not getting the clouds I have seen on video. I will try not to compare with the Plus anymore as apparently the temp dial cant be compared.

I really would love to get a new Hydratube myself, but everytime I want to, I have to put money towards something, like the Cloud EVO (totally worth it though). Also, we just had a baby, so my money is drained. I'm still rocking a straight Evolver HydraTree v1.0.

Oh also as a side note, we need to start a Vaporpedia for the Cloud EVO. Maybe I'll start on that. And, really, you guys should get a consistent message across on your website. The mix match EVO / Cloud information is a bit misleading / misinforming for people.

I'm also going to separate out the HydraTubes from the Cloud page because I think that using the HydraTubes for multiple models means one page for all tubes.

Edit: OH MAN, is the Devastator discontinued? :-(. I've put together a base page for the VapeXhale Cloud EVO. http://vaporpedia.com/wiki/VapeXhale_Cloud_EVO and HydraTubes - http://vaporpedia.com/wiki/VapeXhale_Hydratube

So I loaded up some crumbles of SFV Wax in some cotton 3 nights ago. I've been using that without refreshing the wax, hit it again last night and got a full session. Albeit I had to go into turbo lung draw mode as the cooked wax increase the drag, and the clouds were not super milky on night 3... but I still find it pretty impressive to be extracting big hits from wax that's gone through 3 heat cycles already. The first 2 nights the clouds were dank.

I'm going to do a 4th night of testing on this 1 piece of cotton just to see how far I can take it.

Some days life seems to be a cruel joke. While taking my dying dog to the vet to be put to sleep, he knocked over my EVO. When I got back, obviously an emotional wreck, and went to medicate, the EVO rattled, and I can see what appears to be a crack in the bamboo. But it also seems to be working properly.

Submitted a ticket, but how much in one damn day, huh?

this is how the vapexhale cloud evo lives in a woman's world. Christmas present from my husband. Yes, I did knit a hydratube circ cover.

How terrible.
The EVO is just a "thing" and can easily be replaced. The loss of your companion cannot be covered by money.
My heart goes out to you and your buddy on the other side of the Rainbow Bridge...a place filled with our Dogs and all the EVOs we could want.

Our thoughts go out to you. Based on what I can see of your personality on this forum, your dog was very lucky to have an owner like you and as an owner of three dogs, I personally know how tough this is. I just always remind myself that I gave the 4 legged homies lots of love and that they had a really good life. Keep your spirits up and celebrate the fact you gave your dog an awesome experience on this planet while he/she was here. You got my support.
