Should I use the 3.7v to prime? I did read the vaporpedia page. Also should I hold the cart straight up when filling, or tilt the cart slightly? And should I use a bid lighter or my small torch to fill the cart?

You could, but I always prime at the voltage the cart wants. I hold the cart straight up, but am not sure if that makes a difference. If you use a torch, be very careful not to overheat, or it can cause that taste and/or blow out the seals. The instructions show the cart being held in the hand, so as you heat the top part of the cart, you'll know if the bottom is getting hot to back off with the heat.

It's not that difficult once you get the hang of it, but caution is advised at this step because it's no fun to burn out a cartridge and have to try to get the oil back out. The whole routine, and my concerns about overdoing it, were a major reason why I went with the SR-71, which is pretty bulletproof.

The thing I learned most about the Persei is it's not difficult to overdo things, either by over-filling, mashing on the button if there's a clog, etc. If you took the time to read the vaporpedia entry, you've got some good info to help guide you, as well as many knowledgeable members here. Good luck!

Edit: watch out for ataxian, he's a rebel! :D

OK, atax, I'd like to know how you fire both those tops at once. Do you have an assistant?

Elevate.
Okeanos! G, can it be used without the bubbler attachment (without the glass tube)? Like the kiss cart that is available at the moment.

Ok. Is the cart I have oil in already dead then? Should I try to get the oil out? Or is there a way to fix it?

Sorry I didn't mean to imply the cart is dead. To me a cart is dead if it won't heat/fire or it leaks like crazy. It sounds like your situation is more the oxidation. I have a 5.0 cart here that I didn't pre-oxidize, and it took almost a gram run through it for the metallic taste to go away, which was why I was suggesting using the other cart or getting a 2.4. But it sounds like yours is still functioning at 7 volts, which is good.

Just so you know, I went through pretty much the same learning curve/issues, but once the process gets evened out, it's a great vape system.

Hahaha thanks. Makes me feel better, because I just loaded .94 g of some bho I made today. I oxidized the cart empty and still I get that bad taste. Both carts. I will throw up if I use it at 7.4v. Can I use the double top with both (5 ohm) carts at 3.7v? I tried it and it wasn't half bad, but I wish I didn't just throw that g down the drain. Can I fix it at all? Seems like the SR74 would solve my problems.

I think it might be that I'm holding the button down too long. I hold it maybe 3-5 seconds. From what I've read, sounds like 2 seconds on, 2 seconds off, and so on is good. Maybe I'm burning the oil?

The Professor

Oh boy, today I gotta a g each of Super Jack shatter and Platinum Blue Dream crumble with that thing's name written all over them! The winding of the wire seems a lot less than the current Kiss cart (number of loops around the wick). I assume that is due to the awesomeness of G2 Titanium. Is the wick still ceramic, or was some sort of titanium screen/mesh involved?

In any case, and when does mine ship?!?

I'd say so. For me, I can do one cycle of 2 on 2 off, but once it's warm, it's more like 1 on 1 off.

Please tell me you're letting it cool down between draws...

Please tell me you actually loaded it right. Once the wax was gone from the fill tool and into the top of the cartridge, did you start trying to rip it then?

When you say cool down between draws, do u mean between after everytime I hit the button, or letting it cool when I'm done with the hit?

Haha no. I filled it correctly. Held the cart and heated the top half. All the oil is in the bottom. Then I think I primed. I hit the button for a second and then let it cool. Did this a couple times.

Would be cool if someone posted a video or nice tutorial on how to properly hit the persei with the 5 ohm at 7.4v or similar powerful set ups.

So I just tried hitting it again, this time hitting the button for less than a second and then waiting a second and repeating. With the cart I filled yesterday, great flavor. Amazing! With the older cart, it tastes a like the oil was burned slightly, which it was. So I'd say I'm super pleased now hahaha. Just have to get to know this vape.

I'm looking for containers to hold my carts so they don't smell and so I can stand them upright. Are the doob tubes my best bet? How do you guys store your carts so that the oil doesn't move around?

I have DOOB TUBES as well however I like art projects:

I'm making a new stand out of some EXOTIC wood.
This one I made from left over foam pieces (XPS) and GRANITE FAUX finish paint from HOME CHEAPO!
The Foam Caps I bought from W9 TECH.

I've literally bought hundreds of dollars worth of old skool Omicron carts. Much prefer the SR71 in every respect except size. And if size is an issue I usually go with my KISS.
How does the kiss compare to the Hercules as far as the hits go? And what about ease of loading the carts? I know the kiss you load as you go, but what about the herc? Does the herc hold .5-1 g?

ok guys the Oring sizes we have that we use are

906's and a custom variation of it for the benders, and nibbler x's.

and 904's. for the Hercules.

@THC SCIENTIFIC , are these the '904's that you are refering to?

904 S70 Silicone Rubber O-rings

Just to be clear before I place an order, I'm looking for spare orings for the Hercules mouthpiece that comes with the Nibbler XL. Are these the right ones?
