Unless things have changed, I believe they said it was 2 years for Indiegogo contributors and 1 year for everyone else.

Thanks for getting back to me on this guys...appreciate the replies :)

Hmm...I might just wait and see how these units do. Have a lot of people on this forum who have EVOs been experiencing problems? Also, what is the status on the production of these units? The vapexhale website says it ships after 4-6 weeks from ordering...is this accurate? Say I order it this week, I can expect it by late Jan (I live in Canada) ?

The only "issue" I've heard of with the EVO or experienced personally is that the shut off timers are faster than people may have thought, which is honestly pretty minimal. The EVO heats up fast as hell and flipping the switch resets the time.

As far as when you will receive one, it's hard to say. Vapexhale is finishing up Indiegogo contributors still. Late January seems like a reasonable guestimate given the info we have.

Honestly, if you have another vape you can use until the EVO arrives, the EVO is definitely worth it. I've used a lot of vapes but nothing is quite like the EVO...

I haven't even gotten my email yet from indiegogo. Unless they are skipping the crowd funders to sell retail units first, it seems like it might be a while.

Like a virgin, for the very first time...

As a UT Vols fan, I'm lovin that orange EVO. Really hope that custom-colored shells are an option in the future. Pappy, I remember you posting a photo of that shell in the last month or so, did you put it on yourself or did VXH send it to you already assembled?

Heheh Knox is where I currently reside.

The Fedex guy came this morning with my fanatic EVO and early bird glass at 10:30. Who is home on Monday at 10:30? I might have to arrange a pickup if they try to deliver at that time again.

Also this is how I've been doing my fine dining lately. (Just noticed there is a finger behind my thumb and it makes it look like I have demon claws. lolwut)

I cannot get enough of the Mobius Ion/VXL EVO combo. It's so portable and ergonomically friendly that... well imagine you're sitting on the couch with a beer in your hand after a long day. Replace the beer with this EVO setup and that's what it feels like!

It's quite a change-up from the huge fanatic tube I have. I love both in their own ways.

It was a good deed on the part of Bryan Claus and the VXL team. What made it a good deed is I didn't ask. It was offered in a spontaneous gesture of kindness. In that spirit I ask people to refrain from bombarding VXL with requests. I wouldn't want to leave the impression that "no good deed goes unpunished". :2c:

I can assure you VXL is aware of the aftermarket potential for colored shells and other mods. It crossed my mind the operation is not that cut and dry. Perhaps that's why VXL intervened in my situation.

I did a little experiment today when I got home.

I loaded an ELB with 0.1 gr of herbal goodness, turned the EVO on max until it turned green, then I turned it to 9. I gave it a couple of minutes to turn green (I wandered off for a couple of minutes), then I hit the ELB. Some flavor, no visible vapor.
I then turned it to 10, waited for the green, and hit it. Good flavor, and I could see vapor.
Turned it to 11, and wandered away for a few minutes - maybe 10? - then came back and remembered what I was doing. Hit it, and got a nice hit of vapor.
Turned it to 12, walked away for 5 minutes, then came back and hit it. A ton of vapor.
Turned it to 1, and it was green almost before I set it back down. Hit that. Less vapor, taste getting a little toasty.
Turned it to 2, again, it went green fast (Probably after the first 10 minutes, the thermal mass was equalized, and it got very quick in going green), toastier taste, vapor visible, but getting finer.
At 3, taste was very toasty, and the vapor was wispy.
At 4, faint toast taste. No vapor.
I turned it to MAX (5), and when it went green, I hit it one more time. Nothing. No taste.

So, after the first so-so hit, I got four really good hits, and one more so-so hit. Six acceptable hits.

Dumped the ELB - I had the most even, darkest possible brown that is just not quite black ABV I've ever seen. I could not get a weight at all on my scale. I think that was absolutely extracted.

Smooth sailing while I'm inhaling... VAPOR
The craziest thing just happened!

I hit a almost full ELB on 230 and got a great hit. I took out the ELB and shook it to mix it up a lil.

A few seconds later I am thinking about sticking the ELB back in when I smell something awful and realize my ELB is smoking:cry:.Then it got really hot and I dropped it and it fell under my stand. Smoke started creeping out the bottom while I looked for something to stick under the stand and get it:bang: My room smells terrible now. Brings back some memories though haha

Anyway I inhaled no smoke. It was a great mily vapy hit :D but I think my shaking and the heat inside plus the dryness of the material made it combust.

Lesson learned: do not shake hot ELBs

Now I need something to relax after all the "excitement";)

EDIT: Deadshort480 you are probably right. It was the very bottom of the grinder. Extremely fine nearly dust.

Ok ... so after a weekend away from my EVO after only having it for a day, then after another day back ... here's my updated review. I'm not going to go into every detail because a bunch of reviews have already been done that cover the bases, so I'm more just going to voice some of my thoughts and opinions that I think might be of interest or might discuss in more detail or my take on some points that have already been discussed.

Taste: 2nd to none. This is the best tasting vape I've ever owned. It's especially tasty if one heats it up and then hits immediately as opposed to letting the thermal mass build (the Clouds might be a little more wispy, but my thoughts, based on temp of ELB and GonG connector where ELB is inserted as that more convection extraction vs conduction extraction happens after a quick heatup and hit)

Time for a session: From a cold start, and from a hot start, the EVO is #1. (I can be done in about 3 minutes from a cold start ... turn EVO onto 3 ... start grinding and prepare ELB, when EVO turns green, hit--2 hits to cache--then empty ELB and clean w/ brush .... pretty sure that whole process if I'm in a hurry is around 3 minutes)

Density of Clouds: Densest clouds I've experienced to-date. Even at 12 after a pre-heat.

Efficiency: Best taste w/ the most even/complete extraction I've seen to-date for any vapes. Completely extracts in 1-3 hits and even w/ minimal heatup time can yield very dark ABV if vaping at a higher temp.

Ergonomics: I love it. I love the EVO and I love the hydratubes and that style of hitting. I much prefer the hydratube style to the bong style (I can hit it while standing and pass it around and the EVO's not balancing on top ... I like the way you pickup the EVO in one hand, the hydratube in the other, join the 2 and hit ... feels so natural and so good!)

Just want to comment on the Fanatic tube as well ... it's a beauty (the nicest piece I own by far) ... the filtration is amazing yet somehow still doesn't seem to steel from the taste ... at higher temps the Fanatic tube still was soothing and not harsh at all where as my standard Evolver HydraCirc at higher temps you can feel it.

My wife suggests later versions have a smaller knob or more of a clicking when adjusting temp. In her opinion (keep in mind, she's a girl so her opinion doesn't really matter! Right guy's?) anyways, in her opinion she finds that she changes the temp to easily when handling it inverted then returning it to it's right side up position.

She even said a limited edition digital version would be dope!

G_D my wife is cool....

It was timed on three separate occasions from cold to ready to vape in my house. All three time's the ambient room temp was 72 Degrees - set to noon on the cloud. Three separate days, all three the same time of day and each was first use of that said day. Also no ELB inserted.

Day 1 - 2.11
Day 2 - 2.07
Day 3 - 2.13

Using a laser surface thermometer aimed down the bamboo as if I was Luke Skywalker approaching the fucking death-star. I came up with 350 degrees Fahrenheit in just over 2 minutes. Nice fucking work VXL!

I've also thought this. And I've got some potentiometers that do have a clicky turn instead of a smooth one liek the cloud, so it shouldn't be too difficult. Once I get my EVO, my Cloud is going to become my mod project, I want to replace my cord, do @elmomuzz 's light mod and change the dial and knob.

I am also going to try to incorporate my sustainer mod into the Cloud itself, so I don't need to carry around a big adapter when I want it to stay on. I can't wait to get my EVO and start playing around.

"better" vaping at lower settings is an extremely difficult thing to quantify but I believe that VapeNStone was able to get combustion with the dial at the max setting and that is how the unit is supposed to be functioning. The other people received hotter running units that shouldn't be combusting at those settings but are free to send them back to get re-tuned but otherwise will run fine. Does your unit at max temp give you the range you need for your vaping needs @Lostclusters ?

I will check my unit and if it combusts at max I will be satisfied. If it does not I will put in a ticket in after all the other EVOs are delivered.

After a thorough warmup, I'm getting thorough extraction @10:30-10:45....and combustion @11 and higher. I'm definitely going to send mine in to be looked at, but not until I can afford (and receive) a back-up EVO.

For bigger pieces I'm liking the vape right around 12 to 1 o' clock. I can often do just one big fucking hit this way.

IMO I believe in the hype EVO + Möbius Clear Matrix bub :science: :smug:
Hits are kind of more open, need to try to believe it.
I complete by the moment my VAS & GAS.
I'm ready to hibernate
Stay vaped...

P.S: ready to find a nice soft flexible lightweight power cord... Kind of bummed by the standard one provided.

I highly recommend a MONOPRICE brand cable.

If you are only ordering one item thru them, buy it on eBay. the shipping will be much cheaper. i know you are int'l from Monoprice though so idk, their site might be the cheaper way to go for you after all.

I'd also like this, until then there is an easy fix for that - put a wristband above and under the knob, so it touches it from both sides.
It gives some friction to it making moving it accidentaly impossible.

Thanks for your reply. Seems like I'm gonna go ahead and pre-order in a few days, really looking forward to this vape. The shut-off timer doesn't seem like much of an issue to me. I already have the Solo which I love, the steel and glass combo really makes for a great flavorful hit. I also have the EQ which I liked at first but I am now growing tired of...not sure I like balloons that much and the air path seems kinda sketchy...

Thanks for your advice, definitely gonna go for the EVO eventually, hopefully have it by the end of next month!!!

Just a little pinch in the EVO netted me 3 big nice hits at noon then I turned it up to like 2pm for one for smaller one. Could have weighed more than .1. I took a pic with some green next to it to show you the color that was about the amount of herb I had in it as well(I didn't weigh it so I don't reall know but it was less then I normally fill). The piece of piece is like an inch and a half tall and 2 inches or so wide.
