ON ANOTHER NOTE

VapeXhale is going to try and win a Techcrunch Crunchy award this year. The two categories we are shooting for are:

Best New Start Up
Can't Stop, Won't Stop

If you could write in "VapeXhale" for those two categories and share this with anyone and everyone, we would be very, very grateful. We can vote once a day until Dec 15 so you may see my post this more than once. Thanks once again for all cumulative efforts in helping me get this project off the ground

SM I really wish I could vote, but I've haven't tried a cloud yet!

Just chiming in to say that ground service might not get 'er done at this rate...

Any word on the custom cases?

Thanks:popcorn:

About voting once per day . . . I discovered that techcrunch writes a cookie when you do the nomination so that when you load the page the next day, the field to type in your nominee is dimmed with "VapeXhale" showing from the previous day and "Share" is the submit button rather than "Nominate"; VXL cannot be nominated again. Clearing the techcrunch cookies removed the previous entry and allowed re-nomination. This is with the most current versions of Chrome and FFox running on Linux.

The web page does state "Everyone is invited to submit one nomination per category per day . . . ". Either that is incorrect, or the web master is out to lunch. Or maybe this is another stupid Internet Explorer and/or Windows only site. At any rate, just fyi . . .

Now I remember that it was your post that led me to these brushes. Thx, John. :D

Although, I don't mind them not having a bristled tip. My ELB's don't seem to require that. Or maybe I just lack hygiene skills. :ko:

And I think I got my inspiration from another lady on here but can't quite remember who.
If you like those pickup the Sephora brushes for free. I posted this years ago. I prefer cleaning ELBs with a scrape of a Da Buddha pick and ISO bath. I don't use the Sephora brushes anymore.

I also picked up some of these from another post. I prefer the Amazon brush a hair more but you can't beat free! More importantly I can bend these brushes to get the inside tip of the ELB without feeling too bad.

I have not done web programming in a few years but it seems like a GUI automation script to do the clicking at random time internals is the way to go. I use a paid for VPN connection so I think the trick is to connect to get a new ip, verify IP has changed, launch chrome in incognito mode so it does not track cookies or user id's, have the automation script click for the vote, close chrome, close VPN and start over. Since I have not done web programming in awhile I would have to check all the ways websites can identify you. I know that the browser sends some info but that can be spoofed too.

Making it GUI based would probably be a little more complex than it needs to be; I'm doing some research right now but it looks like this process could be easily automated by a Python script using a browser emulator like Windmill or Selenium, or even just httplib perhaps. From the looks of it (at view-source:http://crunchies2013.techcrunch.com/nominate/) all that we need to do is request the page (it attempts to make connections to Facebook, Google and other social networking sites to fingerprint you; which are all stored in the cookie mentioned by Oldie earlier) but if it can't make the connections it just keeps going, it's not a requirement of voting.

So all the voting takes place in the class "entry nominations", where best new startup is in Form #19 and Can't Stop Won't Stop is Form #13. All a script would need to do is connect to the page, fill input field "input_19" with "VapeXHale" and then activate "button_19" which invokes the submission. Reconnect and do the same with "input_13" and "button_13".

The advantage there it would be very easy to integrate socks5 proxy lists into the program, but that would be more effective if we were trying to carpet bomb the voting process instead of just trying to automate the process of voting every day.

i still owe you vid, but tbh, i have been to busy (and vaked) to do so.
however, i just wanted to share a recent experience.

as an "extreme 'black abv loving' cloud chaser" i like my concentrates. i wanted to get my
lovely EVE (eevaaa) to be effective with shatter. unfortunately i didn't get
one of the high temp versions of the EVO, mine is set pretty much like the cloud.
i can combust, but i have to be at 3 or higher or there are extenuating circumstances.

i tried the mini elb and the two cap and the hits were thin, even at full temp.
would work great if dropped on a bed of kief first. also, my abv is a bit uneven unless i use a miniELB.

this time, using my hydrotube for the first 3 hits and my mobius for the last 3-5
i loaded a slightly over half full ELB and put it in my cloud. then i gently melted a .1 or so chunk of shatter by sticking it to tip of dabber and then gently heating dabber above shatter w/ tiny torch 'til it melted dead center of the top of the ELB.
then i went to town at 3.30. hard. repeatedly. no combustion, full use of shatter.
taste is degraded by the last hit, but no worry of fire and perfectly even next to black abv.

just needed to pop in and share and mention again how much i love my EVE.

@ Bob I did not realize the variance of temps for the Evo until you stated that yours was "cooler" perhaps. My Evo is straight up hot.....combusted a 1/2 elb at 12 on the dial. Now granted it had about 5 minutes of heatup with the elb installed. I was turning mine up to 3 for warmup and then dialing back, now I just set it to 11 and give it about 5 minutes to warmup.

yea, granted mine is a repair so i'm not a usual case.
i do like that there is less risk of fire, but i'd like to use it for concentrates more.
not a biggie, need a reason to use my recycler anyway.

and all measurements are at done at over 10min. of heatup time. i basically use the external temp as a guage. the light is kinda useless, for me.

OK disagree with me, I can't force you to be right
About a month past since I opened a support ticket in VXL website and I've yet to get any answer... WTF?

Damn. I've been waiting a week and I thought that was unusually slow of them.

That's the consequence of everyone bombing the support with shipping questions. We were told not to do that, be patient and let them inform us publicly. If you want the latest info about shipping, just check the IGG. It is highly unlikely you will get more information from support.

Contrary to your assumption mine was not a shipping issue (have mine already, it has malfunctioned) and was clearly labeled as not being such.

I also want to put in a support ticket to ask where and when I'm supposed to send in my old broken cloud.

Get EVOlved.

Well OK, I got EVOlved and this happened . . .

lojc.jpg

First hit with EVO set at 10:30 and a .15g load, thick milk . . .

5eiv.jpg

Second hit, noticeably thinner. Took a third hit, got a small whisp of vapor, too little to photo. To my surprise, the ELB had been cached in 2 hits. And I don't pull hard nor do I have big lungs.

The ABV was thoroughly dark brown and I was thoroughly cooked, too. As in, hammered dizzy. THC fist to face. Head lost in Cloud. Choose your own metaphor.

This big Swagger is fascinating. The weight makes it a bit awkward, it has joint-locked once, and it adds some drag (although less than I expected). I find it easier to hold it in one hand while holding the EVO below it in the other hand (I cup the EVO base in my hand). That said, this thing hits like a champ. The diffusion is excellent, the action is very smooth, it milks beautifully, and - I dunno why - but each time I've used it with the EVO I've been knocked on my ass with only a couple hits.

Think I'll quit trying to figure it out and just sit back to enjoy the sweet ride. :whoa:
