Arizer Solo

i have one of those too, they suck!

although i liked the regular stem HE version with the carb... but on the gong-stem it's just annoying, incredibly annoying lol

you can get PV-stems from vapefiend.co.uk in europe (or you order from PV directly - only took 4 days from canada to germany for me)

Hi there,
I have noticed that the temperature of the external environment affects the temperature of the Solo. Level 3 outdoors in winter is much lower than normal it happens to you!?

Makes sense. The temperature is sensed inside the heater, since heat flows from there everything will be lower, including the load. As more heat flows (because there's more losses to the outside) the 'temperature drop' as seen by the load gets greater. This is like when batteries 'sag under load'.

The temperature experiments I did a while back showed that the actual heater temperature is much higher than the factory publishes for each step. By taking the unit into the deep freeze I suspect you've just made this effect even bigger?

You can probably get a good measure of it by timing the on/off cycles. Or just kick it up a tick or two and see what happens?

Interesting observation. Thanks.

I despise Canada Post, they deliver my solo, but leave wrong compartment key. How hard is it to match nuimbers? Its been since last monday without solo, knowing its right there makes me wanna break in the proper compartment lol

Wow, that's a bummer if I'm following? Your Solo is in a lockbox at the PO and they gave you the key to another box by mistake? Makes you wonder who has the key to your Solo......be good if they don't go trying the key to see where it 'fits'.......

Good luck, I hope you find it's worth the up front hassles, IMO it's worth waiting for.

They left me the key to wrong compartment, I was watching as I was walking up they only left one parcel so the proper key should still be on truck. Its worth the wait I know because I've been using it for months. That's what sucks knowing its right there, I can see the mailbox from here, but I can't use it lol. Ive gone through more than I would having to combust for week and half. :(

I just received my warranty replacement from PV.
If anybody's wondering it's an M1A.
I thought I'd be getting a brand new one in the box but instead the Solo and charger both came bubble-wrapped separately.
And I was surprised that they sent me my old charger back.
I know this for a fact because I marked it (carved lines) in 2 different spots before I sent it to them.
Not really complaining though because it seems to be charging fine right now.
I just thought I'd get a brand new Solo and charger.

Seriously... it is upside down. The tug to get the stem off seems to toss stuff all over the place.
Do you tap/lightly pack the herb before use?

I sometimes use a glass honeycomb screen which helps reduce ABV mess

what model of GoNG adpater do you guys prefer?

Planet Vape HE GonG - Shorty 18mm is my frequent flyer. The non-shorty has a bigger bowl, but I can barely get through a shorty bowl in 20 minutes.

Hi folks,

I have a simple question about "aftermarket" stems for the solo. I just ordered Ed's Blackwood Wooden Solo Vapor Stem. I wanted something a little nicer than the stock glass stems.

Anyway, how exactly do you use one of these stems? Specifically, how do you line up the notches on the stem with the holes in Solo oven? Do you just make a best guess when inserting it or is this some sort of visual clue to it?

Just stick it in... :brow: no need to line up any holes.

I don't have any pics of my old one but I'm sure most of you are well acquainted with the older models' bronze-ish color? The M1C1 is super silver looking. No yellow/browns at all. I wonder if it's stainless?

I was worried I wouldn't but I really like the silver on this one (as opposed to the black M1B it replaced)!

Seriously... it is upside down. The tug to get the stem off seems to toss stuff all over the place.

If the grind is fine and dry, I will lightly pack the bowl down with the marble end of a poker.

Over time, many people report the stems get looser. So much that a cottage o-ring industry has cropped up to get them tighter again.

Have just ordered my Solo from GotVape. Out of stock. They said should get more next Mon and ship within 24hrs. How do you determine which model? Clearly labeled, part of S/N?? Hopefully getting the most recent as they are just receiving a new shipment. Other than bowl, any other changes?

it is very obvious on the s/n

you will get one of the new models if it they're getting them in now. PIU had taken a little while to get mine sent back because i requested a silver. they had blacks in stock but i told them to wait and send me the first one out of the new box of silvers. it will be a m1c1.

my m1c1 seems to heat up to 7 about 15-20 seconds faster than my old m1b did, the metal in the chamber as shown in my pic looks diff, but i don't have any reason to believe it's gonna be any different otherwise? imo ppl make a way bigger deal of the different models than necessary?

i get home in a lil bit and i'll be able to do a bowl out of it then. i've been burning it off today to see how many sessions i can get before the batterys all dead tho.

As I haven't received mine yet, this is the first good view I've had down the bowl. From an engineering view point, I can see why people report a better draw if the tube is lifted off the bottom. When all the way down, a tube would cover the holes as I see them. I saw that some one also suggested a screen to keep tube off bottom.

the stems will loosen up with usage .
for now , try twisting or unscrewing when removing the stem .
hope that helps .
This one's easy, don't pull it that way.......

You need more control. Instead grab it up close 'monkey fist' style (all fingers, no thumb). Then, pressing your thumb tip onto the top of the cap nxet to the stem hole push against the top to slide the Solo up and off the stem. Don't pull on anything. It's easy to stop part way off then gently ease the last bit off with no drama.

Pulling it normally uses lots of muscles (your entire upper body for the most part), 'overshooting' when it lets go is gonna happen, the fix is to not use muscles with such range of motion.

I surrender! Just dumped bud everywhere again. My days of tying monkey's fists are over. Lol I Don't have feeling in All my fingers and thought it was me... the friends did the same.... we could all be ham fisted monkeys, but I think my solo stem Just needs breaking in. The other is easier to remove.

Twisting does help. So did pushing up. :)) The stem is just catching both ways and pops off. Time?

I'm afraid I'll break it off while removing ... :( I already knocked My solo over on the granite counter. The stem hit a banana or it would be toast. I'm hesitant to handle any glass items. Lol :-/

Do you tap/lightly pack the herb before use?

Planet Vape HE GonG - Shorty 18mm is my frequent flyer. The non-shorty has a bigger bowl, but I can barely get through a shorty bowl in 20 minutes.

I just take the stem and suck the herb into it. I kinda pack in the loose ends. Is too much? I use a dental pick to get out all the old bud that I'm not already wearing. :))

I've seen pics of glass and ceramic screens Are these to put in after the herb? I have a metal screen the four holes, but it is amazing ask funk already stuck inside my stem after just 3 the days! Is there an easy way to clean this?

LMK if you like the wood stem! I am looking for anything not fragile but affordable and functional! I Don't have a single surface in My home not covered in glass or made of granite. Plan ahead...lol bye bye glass.

I'm trying Agent 99 now. Now I get the flavors! I love the two setting... My friend with the pen is sold on solo too if I find a stem that isn't glass. As is the solo is too fragile to even leave My nightstand. .. a contractor would destroy it! He breaks the tractor often enough. Lol Make this baby more indestructible and we'll both retire or volcanoes! :-)
