Arizer Solo

My suggestion for all you m1c1 owners is just to make sure it gets HOT on 7; with the stock stem you should be able to get a very dark ABV. With the PV stem maybe alittle less dark. If your ABV is getting dark @7 then you have nothing to worry about. From trying to use my ABV in edibles I find the solo extracts alot of the good stuff you want and leaves very little left.

EDIT: And yes from what I can tell m1a are normally older followed by m1b and m1c

Dont worry too much about the serial number; just make sure it does what I said above. If it does then your good to go.

From what I gather the tubes on the arizer are 9/16th in diameter.

Think these caps would work for it: http://www.grainger.com/product/Vacuum-Cap-5RKR3

(half inch) - http://www.homedepot.com/p/Everbilt...Tips-2-Pack-49225/203661036?N=1z0xd5qZ1z114to

The shipping on the travel caps from canada to us is a little prohibitive.

Mflb caps works also ,
they're basically just screw caps like these ;

Thanks a lot, there seemed to be some misinformation flying around so I wanted to be certain. For my first charge out of the box, both the orange LED and the green charge LED were blinking at level 7 before I unplugged it, is that what I want to do every time I charge it? Or should I charge it to 100% on the very first use and then up to a blinking 7 on every charge afterwards?

Then before I use it, I will do 2-3 burn-off sessions @ 7, then vape for one more session after the LEDs don't indicate a charge anymore?

Should I be packing it before I turn on the Solo and have the herb warm up alongside it, or should I wait for the Solo to heat up all the way and then pack it? Again, sorry.. searching an 800+ page thread returns a lot of "fluff" so to speak. I do wish the instructions it came with weren't so.. lacking. Would be nice to have a central FAQ for the Solo somewhere to guide all of us helpless newbies.

The green light has to stop blinking for it to be fully charged .
Some prefer to heat up the Solo first , then insert the stem .
while others prefer to cook it while it's heating up . You have to find out what you like .
Why are you getting an m1c1 for a warranty replacement?
Where did you order from?

My warranty replacement is scheduled to arrive on Tuesday.
I've been Solo-less since November 8th. :cuss: :bang:

How do you know , you're not receiving an M1C ?
NOT that there's anything wrong with that lot ...

So the distributor I got this solo from are located locally to me and gave me an m1c1. Told me they received them from arizer 4 days ago...also said it's the newest model so what's up with the m1c1 model?

stop worrying about it

i was fooled by the last couple pages which makes it look like ALL M1C1 are bad

this is not the case!!!!!

Yes, that's my advice at least. Always fully charge (until the charge light goes solid) when you get it. Then I'd recommend stopping while the light still flashes (doubles the lifespan of the battery probably). Stopping on level 6 rather than seven doubles it again. Four times the life for a drop of 20% per cycle? Get say 6 not 8 sessions per charge but run the projected charge cycles to once a day for four years, not one?

Some are fans of burn off by the numbers, I usually wipe down new vapes and fire the up empty and be guided by what happens. If I smell and see no issues I load up and go.

You can preheat if you want, most I think put the stem in cold. Remember, invert the Solo, not the stem, so you don't spill until you get the hang of it. Feel free to hit it anytime, the worst that can happen is nothing. Many of us savor the flavors early on to our way to step 3 or 4 for business. I find it useful to start about step 2. Try different techniques out, find out what works for you.....

FWIW when I got my Solo I did not fully charge the battery. I think I stopped on level 2 or 3 because I was so anxious to use it. Battery issues 3 months later. But at the time I wasn't aware of God's OF's advice. Definitely gonna fully charge it this time.

I also wasn't aware of this tip that I plan on following:

My not so smart room mate did the exact same thing when I recieved my Solo even though I told him NOT to do that and to wait and let me deal with it.... so its been twoish weeks old and the battery life seems alright still so all I can do is continue to use it and hope to not run into the same problem you did. Even if the battery does die early I will still get another Solo just because I enjoy my current one so much

My shipping confirmation for my PlanetVape order included a tracking number. I did not order a Solo, not that it should matter. And I chose free shipping (to U.S.). At checkout the website stated that free shipping did not include tracking information, but it came anyway.

I am soook frustrated! !! I orders a week ago PV (the 160 still works) free shipping.. the tracking said was to arrive today and it's not here! !! :(((( If doesn't up Monday I think I'll start throwing things! Lol

PV does still have the 160 with free US shiPping. It does with tracKing. I assume it is CAD which makes the Solo even in USD.

Curse the snail mail! !!!

Does anYone ever rehydrate their buds putting in a our overnight with a piece of Orange peel or other fruit? I didn't know it mattered if buds were dried or not, but SO mentioned it. This seems to make them pliable again adds flavor IMO.

Wow! I'm glad i bought mine from them. Also I bought my Solo about 3 weeks ago. Completely expected to get a C1. PIU sent me a B1. Win? Who knows but I'm not bitching about it!

SAME!!

I love PV but I don't know why, if you live in USA, you would get one from Canada if you could get one same price shipped from the USA?

Also PIU has always covered shipping both ways which is crazy IMO.

They got a new batch of silver Solo's in! I'm getting my old black M1A with a bad battery replaced with a shiny new silver M1C

Nice glad im not the only one with such good experience with PIU; PV on the other hand took weeks to get back to me, then said they couldnt replicate the problem I was having (acting like I made it up), then when I tried to reorder another gong they canceled and said they didnt want me posting all over the forums that their products are bad. In my case at least they werent professional and took things personal (when all I did was post what was happening), had terrible communication, and then acted like I was some how purposely doing it (for what benefit, I have no clue). Made me happy that I didnt by my solo from them.

PIU on the other hand paid for shipping both ways when I had a problem, then when they sent the solo back to me said it was working properly. I had sent it in because the power adapter was faulty (solo erroring) and I didnt feel like I was getting proper battery life. I asked them what all they did and was impressed that they reset the battery and then tested 3 cycles to make sure I was getting proper battery life and replaced the charger. Very through

PIU is simply awesome. I'm an international customer and when I had a problem with my solo, Randy asked me to send it so he can do all the test needed, and he send next day after receibing it paying the returning shipping. I find it really fair for an international customer (I don't think any other vape seller will do this).

Also he has the best deals out there, that's why I will always recomend it to my firends.

Solod out.
I was just thinking, a solo really suits me because im the type that rolls my joints tight and with as little paper as possible (i usually get the slim sized ultra thin and still tear off a bit of paper). I like to savor the flavor and i smoke it slowly with little puffs. I think i found a perfect match with the solo its like it was designed with me in mind lol. Except i would have made the bowl larger.

I cant hit pipes or bongs anymore either, i cant smoke blunts, and i cant smoke joints roled with regular sized paper.
My da vinci was more like a loose joint with a lot of paper.

Does anybody know if any of the retailers like PV or PIU sell for a discounted a price if you buy more than a pair of units from them? I know several friends abroad that want a solo, but I'm not willing to take more than one if $160 is the lowest I can go with retail.

I went with PV over PIU because they had a deal that included a power adapter for 19.99 and solo for 160 plus a other i that piu didn't have. I had they had reliable customer service. .. hopefully! Otherwise, I'd buy American. :)

Blasted shipping. It's in the US at least. My other item from Canada took only 4 days. No patience...

this is so funny :D

if you read back in this thread you will find that the m1a1 used to be the bad ones and people were trying to get a 107 one... so now the m1a1 are the good ones and the new m1c1 suck?

yeah sure! lol arizer has nailed down this device for a good while now ;) stop worrying over dazed and confused minds seeing patterns where there are no patterns (although i might have seen a fractal flying by...) :D
If you read my posts I have video proof we are not making these faults up and that some of the M1C1 models "heat" up too quickly...

I have had enough Solos to recognise which are not performing correctly.

It was never said it was all M1C1s but they definitely seem to be more temperamental than most other models.

Telling people blindly that they have no problems with their unit won't help matters. If they have no reference point then they will be thinking that a Solo that heats up in 30 secs and produces wispy vapour is normal?!

I don't think we should assume that all units coming out of Arizer are fault free...
