I've noticed testiness everywhere in the past couple of days. Here, there, IRL.
Seems like lots of folks have got their nuts in a knot.

And my god, the fucking shootings...what's going on?

Just now, two of my ex's are hot messes and my girlfrient's husband is on a rampage.

Christmas, and other holidays are approaching fast...this usually is the stressed/stressful season IMO. People worrying about money for the holidays (gifts, food, travel, heat, etc) so many things. This time of year is usually when I notice myself, and others getting to their wits end so to speak. It's this time of year, that I'm thankful for cannabis a little bit extra, and oh so thankful for my VapeXhale products!

Vapor only
If anyone cares, I'll keep you all posted on the exchange time for mine under warranty.

My 2nd cloud bit the dust on the 2nd iirc.
First one took a couple months for the turnaround waiting on the plus, and now the wait is on for a few reasons I guess.

How was I supposed to know about this trade in offer?
Did I miss a very important email from VXL??

How do I find someone who is willing to 'swap' with me their trade in spot? Should I post an ad in the classifieds?

I suspect two factors are involved:

The US now has almost, but not quite, more guns than people. They are extremely available.

The US federally forbids any use of cannabis whatsoever, even in situations where a doctor declares it medically beneficial (not just harmless but beneficial), and (until recently) regardless of how many assorted state laws disagree.

So now, as opposed to a nation full of relaxed, laid-back motherfuckers who've probably never even seen a firearm in real life, you have a bunch of irritable, disaffected people (many of whom in chronic pain) with easy access to firearms. Also, when people do flip out and go on a spree, there's more people outside for them to target, instead of sitting home on the couch eating pizza and watching sitcom repeats in their underwear. It's just math, really. Cannabis prohibition is causing deaths! Why won't the gub'ment step in and protect people?!

I'm being facetious, of course. They're already on top of the problem. Once they save us all from this dire, looming cannabis threat, I'm sure they'll have a quick look at the minor gun issue. Gotta prioritise by potential risk after all. I'm sure it has nothing to do with the political lobbying power of the NRA and their hordes of wealthy right-wing backers...

The sarcasm is strong with this one.

I tried warming up the cloud and trying it again. Only set it to 12 and still noticed the hot melty electronics smell. I am able to see in the bottom of the unit a bit and noticed that some of the wiring is resting directly on the bamboo. I am considering opening up the unit and taking a look around. Possibly secure the wiring a bit better and see if it helps with that awful smell. Is the just the 4 sets of screws the hold the core together? Also, I have noticed a heaviness in my chest after using the Cloud. I have never had this issue with other vapes I have used. Just some ramblings and random thoughts.

The part of the bamboo you can see wires resting on, is not hot ;) I don't think this is the cause of the smell we're getting...I repositioned my wires slightly when I was in my OG, and they do not touch the bamboo now...still smells.

Heaviness in chest...possibly from the giant hits that the Cloud can produce, etc. But, I can say this...the Cloud isn't adding anything to the vapor experience, unless there is a hole in your bamboo or something...fresh are in the bottom, heated air through the herbs. Glass/stainless/medicine...Heavy feeling in the chest could be from big hits, clearing out crap from the lungs...many things related to getting lots of dense vapor in at once could give one this feeling, possibly. Couldn't really guess anything otherwise though

Yeah that does make sense because i can touch the bottom of the bamboo and it's not hot. I also thought that the heaviness could be from the big hits it can produce. I'm still on the fence as to whether or not I want to keep it or not. I suppose if the smell isn't an detriment to one's well being I could, in clear conscience, resell the unit. Decisions Decisions.

I would totally keep the unit. I use my ticker daily, and that smell doesn't worry me one bit. IMO it smells like heat, and warm wires/solder, etc. It doesn't smell putrid/bad, or make me think anything is at risk, etc. It just smells hot, and electronic. I can't see any reason not to use it, or get rid of it because of the smell...just me though ;)

I suppose you are correct. If anything I'll own a piece of vaporizer history. It can go with my much beloved PD. The smell only gets annoying at the higher temps.

It definitely can be annoying at high temps. I forgot to mention this, either point a small pc case fan (3-4 inch little fan), or a desk fan at your cloud while it's running, or at least keep a ceiling fan or something going, to keep air moving. If you do this, the outside of your Cloud will stay so much cooler to the touch, and the smell will be less noticeable for two reasons, one, you're moving it away. Two, you're keeping the unit cooler, so it's not going to generate as much smell. Thank @Stu, for this wonderful idea. He was the first person I saw post about it! His intent was to control the temp of the outer shell for handleability, but either way...win win!

Excellent idea. I did see that suggestion somewhere in the thread. Guess it's time to go put it to use!
