Received my Dabbler today, and I can already tell this is going to be a good purchase. Stainless is sexy as fuuuuuuuu. I have a Persei, but my main gripe was issues when lending it out at a show or what have you, and people clogging it by drawing too hard/not knowing how to feather the button and burning the goods..

Not with this little thing, it might get gunked up a bit around the threads but it wont clog from drawing too hard, threw .17 in it and ripped my FACE. Taste is of the utmost importance for me, and the fact the this little thing has the electronics to monitor the temp is what sold me. @vaporbrothers cheers my friends, SOLID little device.

Any update on the non-silica wick version? something that was mentioned in the original post.. anyway, another happy customer here!

Have run half a gram of melt through my Dabbler the past week, light usage.

I think a couple times I overloaded it, many times it has been very difficult to pull. Almost have to draw through the mouth rather than the lungs. Any tips on clearing it out easier? I tried holding it upside down and taking longer draws. After a few hits it will always kind of clear out.

A considerable amount of melt has dripped down below the coil and into the chamber. Do you guys scoop this back up and onto the coil, or just let it build up? Much darker color than my concentrate is, why is that? Again I tried taking hits upside down but it doesn't really seem to drip back onto the coil. Another reason I would have preferred a more toothpick-like dabbing tool rather than the included glass scoop, since it cannot squeeze into the bowl past the coil.

How many grams of concentrate do you guys usually run through before cleaning the heating element?

Hey yall,

Got my dabbler in the mail today and just tried it out. Loving it so far, but had some questions. Any suggestions of useful (or cool) attachments? Thinking of getting a glass globe but wanted your thoughts before I pulled the plug. Feel free to link me to sites and thank you!

So I got a Dabbler about 1.5 months ago after reading through the first 12 or so pages of this thread, and especially the excellent video reviews and info from Vito.

I was very happy with it but last night it just stopped working altogether. I ordered a back up coil when I purchased it so I was able to swap that out, but when I press the button the light doesn't turn on and nothing happens. When I plug it into charge it will flash red for maybe 3-5 seconds, then turn off.

I'm not sure if I need to reach out to vaporbrothers or vapewarehouse to try and get an RMA or some troubleshooting if possible. Has anyone had something similar happen?

I generally let this build up and just keep filling up the dabbler. I do an upside hit every 3-4 to try and melt and get some of that build up on the coil. I don't think you want to poke around the coil too much because there is a chance of breaking or unseating it.

I did something similar to Vitos cleaning method posted earlier in the thread and was surprised how effective it was. I've cleaned it once since I had it, this is using it probably 3-4 times a day at least. It's probably due again, although now its broken. I'd say every 3 weeks or whenever things start to not taste as great.

I use it upside down alot, It fits PERFECTLY into my 14mm female WT :mmmm:

That's the direction I would go in. Can you get the battery to light up if you press the button without the cartridge on?

I had similar happen. Turns out I accidentally disabled the device. Did you try tapping the button 5 times to enable it again?

I go in with a round toothpick (as opposed to a flat one) and I scoop it up and place it back on the coil... when I have time. If on the road without a toothpick, I tilt the unit this way and that and get my hits as the coil becomes resaturated.
This heat transfers and clogs open

Vapor warehouse is the place for purchasing dabbler goods.

In my opinion the heater is one of the most defining features of the dabbler. If you get an ruvaped heater you no longer have a dabbler.

There is a coupon for the heater on here .

ok, think I may be ready to pull the trigger on this... Been dabbing pretty much exclusively lately, and after reading most of the concentrate based portable threads I think this should be the one. I have been going back and forth between this and the dr dabber, but from what I read this delivers a more dab like experience than the others. Is that a correct assumption to draw? TIA

Eh that is up to the user and how each person decides to use it. You can load a decent amount and go, but it wont last too long (8 hits?). The selling point of the Dabbler is the microprocessor that controls the coils temperature so it wont burn the goods and make it taste like shit if you hold the button too long. Dr. Dabber does NOT have this microprocessor and is basically just another rebranded ecig with a 'bigger bowl'...

Powerful hits, but needs reloading (which is no big deal IMO), and very minimal loss in taste as long as you keep it from going dry. Combine this with the excellent reviews that I am seeing here, and this seems like the perfect birthday present to myself

I've probably said this a dozen times.

The dabbler hits like a beast. It will hit very hard. It will give you clouds of vapor while retaining flavor. At the end of a ten second hit the flavor can start to degrade but it's negligible. If you really want huge hits that retain a good flavor I recommend pulsing the heat.

I find myself requiring a reload a lot of less often than I at first thought necessary. But you will need to reload somewhat often. I can get 3-4 big hits. If you want to go nuts you can throw a giant chunk of wax on the heater but it will get messy in the heater.

Dabbler's increasingly glowing reputation and glory.
It was no different then a dozen other home made pens I have seen laying around...
each with a slightly updated atomizer... each actually initially intended for use in
the e-cig conversion revolution.

Just wait.... there will soon be a knock off of the knock off, called "Mr. Uncle Dabbler-doo"
or.. "The Yabba Dabber Doo" pen.
These guys are not capable of "knocking off" a concept... so they knocked off a name.

Any miraculous concept from a "house" like Vapor Brothers when it arrives can stand alone,
and yet it's name will be borrowed by lesser products. Mark my words here.. I will in future times refer back to this post. (You know... like "I told you so"!)

Hey all! Long time Dabber, first time posting =P I have had a first gen Stok Vape Pen for nearly two yrs now. It worked well for several months (even longer than suggested life of the cartridge), and then after about 6 months of regular use the heating element stoppped functioning. At the time I was a full time student/full time parent and didn't have the expendable income to replace it. I talked to the customer service reps at Stok and they offered a new battery, even though mine was functioning. When I was able to afford a replacement cartridge, I began researching other products, just incase. I've found many of the vape pens on the market share similar fittings for batteries as my Stok. I believe, being an early edition it is the 510 threading. I've grown to love my friend's VB box and was ecstatic to find that VB produced a portable tool!

So, all that taken in, my question is this: Could I purchase the dabbler heating element from the VW, and use it with my two batteries I have? I would like to refrain from purchasing another fiber-glass fitted element =)

PS: I'm a patient in Denver, so I use Shatters, Waxes, Oils, etc...just depends on my mood lol

VB highly suggests you use a Dabbler heating element with a Dabbler battery ONLY because the two work together to monitor coil temp (via internal electronics specific to the dabbler). VB says the Dabbler cart will run hotter on another power supply, but some users say they have had good experience with other batteries, so I cant say for sure. I wont be using mine with another battery.

So I wasn't a huge fan of the mouthpiece so I cut an Omicron tip and stuffed it in there. I like the draw better.


My favorite way to use this thing..

What about the VB battery with some other heater?

I assume that is also not recommended though again, some users will have a good experience with this. I know for instance, that a member is running the VB heater with the Dr.Dabber heater thereby getting the better temps combined with the recessed coil). I'm debating between the entire Dabbler kit vs the replacement battery.

I too liked the taste of the Dabbler, but in the Dr. Dabbler's defense, the higher heat output is useful for when you get some darker/brown wax and it gums up the heater. The hotter power just cleans it right up after a few dabs, but you sure taste all that stuff you're cleaning off...

I think I'm going to keep a clean heater for "topshelf" wax with the Dabbler and my "dirty" heater on the Dr.

Yes. Good friend has iTaste VV and VB batteries, with at 2 diff brand carts(1 being the Dabbler cart).
Personally the VB carts are my favorite, so far. Even with the $5 off coupon, they are expensive if you use your Dabbler a bit, from my economic reality. I use my device hourly, sometimes sharing w/ friend, so i have been running thru carts. I have had 4 VB dabbler, and 2 of another brand so far. Clogs/restricted airflow have been the killer for me. Even when i cleaned 2 carts, after reload, they had great taste but no flow. I don't know if I had the "original" carts, i heard they updated them at one point. But I think mine were the original.

Edit: can't speak for "dirty" errl unfortunately(or fortunately), but reclaim did bring an end to a friends cart.

Again... I find that it is not the darkness of wax that always causes issue or indicates lower quality/more residuals.
Also all wax becomes darker/browner as it "reduces"... and I figure this is what JKA means as a general rule.. that once the wax has become dark brown it can then tend toward being gummier.

I find that the drier the wax, be it blonde or tan the gummier the texture when it gets vaped.
I find this with the super hard dry honeycomb crumbles.. even the palest.
The moister clay like waxes do not seem as gummy in the end,
and the Putties seem to me to act the best.
In Putty... the lightness of color can also indicate that some purging still need to be done.
Micro bubbles full of butane's residuals can make putty look paler.

This freshly scraped but incompletely purged BHO looks pretty, and would/could pass for pure "wax" in appearance and in odor.
