If you mean the units, I don't know that we know they've left Ontario yet. If you mean DaVinci, then wrong state.

We read and hear all of your comments, and with thousands of happy customers around the globe, we fully understand that some are unhappy with the delays and apparent lack of communication as the Ascent makes its way to market.


As a brand and company that has entered this amazing space of vaporizers with an extraordinary product, our sole purpose remains true for our brand and vape enthusiasts; that is to provide the ultimate vape experience by delivering a feature-filled, innovative, tech-based, and portable vaporizer. We've taken extraordinary measures to ensure that your Ascent is the highest quality product possible.


The Ascent development process involved a thorough beta test period which resulted in significant modifications requiring new molds and components. Additionally, the glass-on-glass feature designed for pure flavor created a new set of challenges and has required extra precautions and steps for shipment and importing. We promise that these steps are real and necessary in order to deliver the ultimate glass-on-glass OLED vaporizer.


No one wants to deliver the Ascent more than we do. Our eagerness to fulfill your orders drove us to open up sales for a limited group while product was in transit but not yet received. While always a possibility, we didn't expect to be in a holding pattern and until this is resolved we believe it would be unwise to put more units in transit. For those that are requesting a release date, we can only tell you that until we have confirmation that goods are freely flowing to us, we can't guarantee a date just yet. The moment we receive the first shipments of the Ascent, a date will be released and our pre-sale orders will be filled first and as more product is received, our pre-registration orders will resume. As our first production runs are always small to better control quality with a new release, general sales will be opened up as quickly as possible as more Ascents continue to be produced.

Mewash2, we sent an email the Friday before goods were supposed to ship. We used the email that was entered to check out on our shopping cart.

Davinci_Vaporizer - thank you for the eventual response. I'm sure I speak for everyone when I say we do appreciate your time taken to post here on FC. While this is a welcome update, I don't feel it offers a whole lot in terms of actual content. Can you please elaborate on the reasons for the delay, what exactly you/we are all waiting on in terms of the holdup, and instead of guaranteeing a date, perhaps providing an estimate of when this may likely be resolved?

I understand that it was a little vague, but we tried to spell it out in the letter. Considering the industry that we are in, we have to be careful about what we say and put in the public eye. I know this doesn't help. We have started to get confirmation that we are moving through the stages at this time.

That way you could get the Ascent out there, and continue to make sales while this customs problem is sorted.

It does us no good not to give you product nor to discontinue presales until we get more in. We all wish this would have been released 6 months ago..but it just wasn't ready. Now it's ready and in holding. No, we haven't really thought about it especially since some of the pieces...like manuals are here in the US.

In this regard, is there anyway to provide an estimate of completion based on communications with the holding entity? Most of us have funds tied up in this pre-order, and such info would truly help us make an educated decision on how to proceed.

Thanks Avenger. I had forgotten that I had to pay duty on a US purchase several years ago.
I'm preregistered with DV but I might just wait till Toronto Vape has them in stock.
I received a package from Roor in Germany last year and no tax at all.

Please know that you remain very welcome here--and I think you'll find that the more you keep us updated, the more support you'll have from us in what must be a very frustrating time for you.

That said, I do wish there was some new information you could share with us. We understand the need for caution...but can you give us even a hint of a detail about what exactly is holding everything up? Is there some suspicion in customs about the product's intended use?

Here's my biggest question: did you encounter these difficulties with the original DaVinci? And if not, what makes this situation different?

6 months is too long for an update and it was still quite vague and open to interpretation. But we did get a little more info:

"Not anytime soon unless you were the first Pre-orders"


Thanks none the less for the update. I will try to curb my rage in the meantime.
