Long time lurker...first time poster. I would like to take this opportunity to thank this forum for helping me select my first glass piece. A Mobius Clear Bubbler with Matrix Perc is on the UPS truck and scheduled for delivery this afternoon...Thank-you all again!

Just curious where you purchased, as ALT has had qc issues, I have a 60t that I absolutely love! Welcome to FC. The info here is endless, and priceless!

Greetings and thank-you. I purchased the product (on sale) from ALT on July 17th. I was aware of a recent qc problem but remain hopeful that the issue has been resolved...do you think I erred in judgement?

I hope not, I've ordered from ALT before without issues(Ben Wilson 6 arm), they should have it worked out by now.

You know, I went to my LHS to see one of these and that was exactly what I thought. The mouthpiece was like a little cone and it was very uncomfortable . . .

Well this idea hit me while I was falling asleep last night.
Seems to work quite well. I used an extra mouthpiece from my viVape 2.

Most of the pics I've seen of the mouthpieces, they're flared a lot more than that (as in, concave-outwards). As you put it, that one just seems like a section of a cone. Do they all look like that now?

(I hope not. :c )

Really? Even on your clear?

My MP is much more flared and a much bigger bore. No way any current tubing I have would fit into the MP like shown by UnixRasta. It would be like throwing a hotdog down a hallway, :p.

Been thinking of finding a rubber stopper that would fit into the mp, then retrofit a 18mm female joint so I could attach a male 18mm WPA and hose for extended use. I'm not comfortable hitting my Clear with the Cloud inches from my forehead.

Yeah, the flaring is kinda important, for both making an easy seal, and also the comfort factor. If they've started skipping that step as a production cost cutback or something, it's a bad sign.

Anyone got one recently that doesn't have a "conical" mouthpiece?

Based on what I have seen with Mobius pieces, variances are to be expected.. Next time I go by The Cave (LHS) I will snap a photo so everyone can see all of the variations in the Ions and Clears. Some are taller, some shorter, some have longer MP, some shorter. Some wider MP and some smaller. They are all pretty much unique if you start looking at details.

i feel that way about "heady" pieces, but NOT about scientific glass at all.
one of the reasons i felt comfortable buying a mobius was it's consistency and reliability and quality.
am glad i got mine before all of those attributes stopped being part of production.
hope you can find happiness in your piece, UnixRasta.

not trying to rain on the parade, but when i stick my head out and it feels wet....

I think this just reinforces that it is always best to buy glass in person *if* you can. One person might like a smaller MP and another a larger, so I think it is good to have variety. I think the only thing you can count on being consistent with Mobius is the can size but I am no expert and only know what I have seen out there in the real world.

The quality issues are very puzzling and there seems to be a common denominator there --> ALT.

I don't entirely understand the clear reference...
I was commenting on an ion mouthpiece...

The ions use a smaller bore for the neck, and therefore have a smaller mouthpiece.
the flare is "the same" but since the bore is smaller, the flare is smaller. it's "the same" in the sense that it's the same thing, just scaled down.

A scaled up version of the same mouthpiece would still be bigger, without having more of a "flair".

Question, what is your guys opinion on the Mobius 60mm stemless bubbler with stereo matrix? And does anyone have an idea when ATL usually gets a restock in their Mobius selection?

I got some really nice 6-arm Luke Wilson downstems at this place before. They really cut the drag on my current 12-inch SYN platinum label and RooR bubbler. I really love them.

Granted, with the L. Wilson downstem (not pictured above) this little bubbler is pretty amazing and clean. Maybe Ill get pics up (most likely when I put it up for sale).

The Mobius Matrix is #1 on my list. I like other stuff but Im pretty set on the Mobius (other suggestions always welcome) but tstat pretty much covered everything in his thread. You all have left many great suggestions in the Log Vape Glass thread and Custom Setup threads. I just cant find (or search and read well enough) the Mobius-specific info I want but see lots of Mobius in your signatures. I like the tube version (and the stemless version posted by AoC) but just dont need that much. They had the Reti Perc available but are waiting on a shipment of the Matrix units later this week or next. They should have both the smaller Ion bubbler

So the question is
Which one should I get??? The Clear or the Ion (are they both available with the Matrix?)
The Clear bubbler has much more volume than the smaller Ion. I liked the larger mouthpiece on the Clear, but then I was trolling the Cloud site (as I do a lot, just waiting for mass productionha) when I saw this here

So if the Ion is overkill, would the larger Clear be beyond death? I use mainly logs (CRZs, hopefully UD and HI soon) and an LSV with my glassware. I read the specs and figured out the exact volumes of each piece, but only personal experience is going to help me here. Anyone with advice, suggestions, put-me-in-my-place kind of knowledge, etc. would be much appreciated!

Mobius has great glass and some very unique percs! i like your choice mate. I would go with the facet disc series with a matrix perc though, it's straight dank and its very versatile if you were trying to smoke both flower and concentrate. its only 11 inches and the base is solid. but any mobius you buy will be sweet.

I recently purchased the mobius stereo matrix bubbler and I am wondering if anyone knows of a bag/case that isnt real bulky but still protective. I am looking for one because i transport it alot in my car.

Pelican cases are very popular in the photography circle and I've seen them mentioned a few times here on the FC.

Probably bulkier than what you are wanting but well worth the cost.
