Glass that isn't completely clean ?

Everyday I clean my apix showerhead. I've noticed a film of something dirty lining the top part of the showerhead. Each time I clean I use ISo and salt but the film remains. Has anyone experienced this before? I mentioned it to someone and they told me vaping in a glass piece after a while leaves a permanent stain.

I think the manufacturing process can leave "stains" as well. If you look hard enough under the right lighting you'll find them on pretty much any brand new or perfectly clean piece. I've heard them referred to as "flame stains" before but I really don't know the technical details. Some are more visible than others. Glassware is made by hand and each piece has its own personality. Don't sweat it.

If it's a build up from usage, then you should check out some of the cleaning threads in this section.

IME thats not true
Even smoking isn't going to leave permanent stains if you clean your glass properly and regularly. Vaping leaves far less buildup than smoking.

Leaving water sitting in your piece for days can leave difficult to remove buildup, even with clean water IME.

I do believe it is hardwater stains, I hate to admit it but sometimes water is left in it overnight :cringing:
I tried vinegar and the stains remain.. What would clean them off completely ?

CRL but I would rinse it well with distilled water after. I'm not sure if it's toxic or not but I don't want to find out the hard way

Careful w/ the CLR use gloves, will cause the hands to feel the warmth as it destroys caustic tissue. Friend of mine going thru same w/ his glass, he put in 2 shot glass worth and 4-6 oz of distilled water and did the mechanical action and lined the sink w/ a big piece of rubber honey comb matting for shelves in case of slippage and it took the limestone scale off and left that badboy spotless.I cant say if it will eat any decals or any type of adhesive graphics, but it did the trick for the scaling, and now by advice ,I tell him dump the water every night if hes using tap but i suggested distilled and the NACE and from there I think he will be on track for EOD water change. I also use Simple Green.Good cutting action for oil based stuff like vape resin or combustion tar and is eco friendly , my bud still uses combustion so the tube get pretty boogered up in no time.I am changing the water daily and rinsing w/ alcohol some days but most of the time just the simple green daily ,rinse w/distilled and fill w/distilled.Have some NACE now, whats the dilution ratio? 2 drops for every 5 ml of fluid? anything you advise is helpful, the solutions for maintenance is something new for me and think its great!!!! Props to you dudes who did the R/D on this stuff. FC the bible for vape heads

Cant hard water etch glass over time as well?

I was lead to believe it was the salt when swishing around with ISO that could scratch up a piece pretty well. Seems like if tap is building up scale, wouldn't be removing/damaging the glass, just building layers on top of it .
