Get Lifted.
I got a couple of essential oils in from DV today...energy and relax. I'll start using them later today and use them with both the glass can and cotton to see how they preform. I'll check in later.

Looks like the Davinci essential oils will be delivered in dropper bottles, similar to e-juice. Pretty excited about this after tasting their Calm and Energy blends.

I use a flat screen as well, dreamerr.

I do as well. I have never been able to get the domed screens to work for me. It takes up too much room that I could be placing herb. I wonder if doming a screen in the ascent would help with the half packing.

I realize this kills the 100% glass vapor path.

Nice video for sure and some interesting commentary. Concrete drop test and a mention of comparison to solo.

He talked about the low vapor production using oils. I wonder if he tried without the jar cap. Long video for no display of it in action.

Cant wait to buy one.

When you beta dudes experiment with concentrates can we get a pic of some concentrate inside the jar. Also whoever has the new aroma blends dropper bottles from davinci, can we get a pic of that. Pretty please.

^^ Great demo/review !!! Best I've seen. Want to see part II.

I second that, you guys seen this one..."This is actually the glass stem and you can insert this other glass mouthpiece if such is your choice"...really...:bang:
Upsets me greatly morons like vapelife and vapeforest have an Ascent and I don't. I could make a better review video drunk and blindfolded.

Modnote: Flaming is never allowed here. Please review the forum rules. Thanks.

would something like this be any good to help reduce the bowl volume for those who wish to do so?
it's all glass, it's oddly shaped so the air can move trough and around it in stead of only around it like with a glas marble?? I'm planning to go with the cotton if needed, just trying to help the con cotton people

That ascent looks cool, so excited for the release.. is it me or do I see a emerald green tint on his unit??
I also think the ascent is a great value after he went through the packaging, the back up glass stems and jars make it a fair price, its not just pieces of plastics thrown in.

While I like the motion sensor, I also like a fixed shut off timer where I have f.i. 9 minutes of total vaping time before it auto shuts off, every now and then I noticed that I leave my vaporizers untouched for a minute or so while the're on and it consumes (for me in my case) more of my batteries because I have to re heat to finish my session.
Either way, I'm in the line to get one !

You can just use the personal vape cycle option for a timed auto shut off. For example, I have mine set at 383 for 3 minutes, then 385 for 3 minutes, then 388 for 3 minutes. This way, after 9 minutes, it shuts down.
There is always 3 stages, but you can set each stage to any length of time and any temperature.
When it shuts down, the Ascent power stays on, but he heater shuts down.

But you can also set the motion sensor auto-off for 9 minutes, so if you did leave your Ascent on and unattended, the heater and device will power down after 9 minutes.

Agreed... Very nice and thorough introduction to the Ascent! Looking forward to his next review with some actual usage and final thoughts on this extraordinary vape.. Kudos to Toronto Vaporizer. They seem to be knowledgable vaporizer connoisseurs. Can't wait to get my hands on this baby. No white gloves fo me though, I'll use my Asscent with black gloves and a lone ranger mask

In all of the video reviews I've seen, there doesn't seem to be the vapor density that I enjoy with the Solo. This aspect may be a deciding factor in whether I act on my Ascent pre-reg. order. Good vapor density, efficiency, battery life, and quality build are priority for me, not necessarily pocket stealth. If the Ascent can meet or beat the Solo for cloud production, I'm definitely in!

The Toronto Vaporizer review mentioned he got super thick vapor from herb, but only light to moderate vapor with oil. I have a Solo too, and from what I've heard from Sticks, THR and Slim the vapor production is great if you pack the load properly. Additionally, you can pack the bowl tight and crank the temp on the Ascent all the way to 430F which should produce super thick vapor.....

I much prefer the cloud production on the Ascent to the Solo. I can't get past the milkshake feeling of the Solo stems. The PVHES are okay, but still required more draw then I like. I love the vapor production and quality of this unit.

I generally like to vape with the Solo at the medium settings e.g. 3-5. I use the 7 setting (410F) just to burn off what's left (I'm trying to stay far away from combustion temps). The Solo is a bit tough to draw on, and good clouds w/easy draw on the Ascent is definitely a plus. Want to see some vids with good Ascent clouds and instructions on how best to pack it and at what temps.

Anybody think that reflective green in that video is a random video color effect, or that's actually how it is? Looks way cool.

Yeah, that would be cool to see a full comparison of the Solo vs the Ascent in regards to cloud production.

I don't like water attachments too much. I like to hit my portables dry. That said, I can only hit the Solo dry on setting 3 or 4, anything above that is too harsh for me. What gets me excited about the Ascent is the ability to vape at higher temps without water. According to Slim, the Ascent is much less harsh at higher temperatures when vaping w/o water than other portables.(tthats not an actual quote, but as I recal he did say something like that a while back). for me that's a great feature.....

I may not want to hit the Ascent dry at 430F, but if I can hit it in the 410 to 415 range w/o coughing up a lung I'd be happy. I defiantly can't hit the Solo dry at those temps ie. level 7...

I wonder if that has to do with either:
The temps aren't really that high even though the readout says it is...
or
The air to vapor ratio is a lot higher on the Ascent versus other portables ?
