We're here to fuck shit up.
Damn Welderboy! How many times have you changed out your batteries? What do you currently have in your Pax? Have you had any problems?

its 4:20 somewhere.....
Now I have a Panasonic 18650a in there (green battery in pic). I keep that one in there most of the time. The purple ones are Chinese generic, and they work fine too. The Chinese ones are protected and the Panasonic isn't. No problems so far......

Dumb people? Who are you talking to? In the video he was saying that the Pax is an unsafe device. The Pax is not an unsafe device.
In fairness it could be perceived as unsafe, I once tried repacking the pax with my finger too recently after using it. Oh, I'm the dumb person hes talking about. hahaha. jk

i was getting a clog every use in the mouthpiece, maybe because of a too fine grind. I cut a piece of regular screen the same size as the pax screen and it installed under the pax screen. This along with a slightly drilled out mouthpiece and it works way better for me. That brass set up looks great

Hey! Long time lurker, first time poster.

Would this work good with the pax or is the infamous $40 pipesdaddy bubbler better?

http://www.pipesdaddy.com/14mm-Snakster-Glass-Bubbler-Green-p/bb-0101-0002.htm

Also, is it worth it to even spend the money on the adapter for the water pipe, or is it not that amazing?
...
One last question, how exactly should i cut the silicone tubing and what should i do to stretch it around the pax and the glass adapter piece?

in your opinion which would work better, brass screens or stainless steel?

I can answer part one of that! If you could only chose between those two, I would go with the infamous. That set-up can really knock you out of the park if you aren't to careful.

Hey guys,
I've had my Pax for a week and love(d) it BUT now it will not hold a charge. :ugh:
I have cleaned the charging prongs, put the Pax on the charging doc in both directions and unplugged it and plugged it back in. Nothing. It has a solid red light which indicates its charging but after 15 hrs it is still dead. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. I've emailed PAX directly since I purchased it last week. This seriously sucks!

i solid red light might mean something with the "temp light" function. i think if you are contacting ploom ...people had said to use the "chat with us" feature, it will be faster than wait for an email back

Thanks Triplegun! I didn't know that the solid red light meant that. Thanks! I wonder if adding some of the lubrication will help. HAHAHA  It doesn't appear to be sticky. I'll give that a try.
I also tried to contact them directly but they close at 4pm. PST. If I don't hear back from them by tomorrow afternoon i'll be sure to hit them up via chat.
Thanks for the quick reply

My Pax is doing the "temp setting while in use" issue more and more often, I forgot what the solution to this issue is, can anyone tell me or show me a post explaining it?

The issue stops once it's heated up but it's really annoying fiddling with the mouthpiece non stop until it's heated up.

Other than this which won't bother me once I'm reminded what the solution is I really love the Pax.

Thanks

Been a happy owner of Pax for 5 months. Wanted to share 2 useful tips. Enjoy.

1. The only complaint I had with the Pax was the annoying temp light problem that just would not quit. Tried daily cleaning with toothpick of the spring area, but was not a reliable fool-proof solution. Didn't want to order off the internet, was ready to drive 20 miles to get propylene glycol (the lube) from an animal farm!! Finally, based on tip from FC, just went to the local CVS and got me some glycerin. For 5 bucks, the annoying temp light problem gone. Very happy.

2. Wanted to share my Pax setup with a hookah. I attach the Pax to the hookah with simple vinyl tubing from local hardware store. I put the Pax on party mode for hands-free operation. I like to use ice cubes and mint extract flavoring in the hookah vase for cool and enjoyable vapors.

Peace.

This is the only sub forum where I've seen so much nastiness. I'll admit that there are a lot of sub forums that I haven't been to, but I've never seen behavior in any of the ones I do peruse like I see in here.
lol mmj users are a fickle bunch! Myself included lol!

Not anywhere but this thread.....I've used generic Chinese batteries and now I have a Panasonic in there. Lol I'm no expert, but I like to tinker....

I was getting about 1hour 15 minutes of high temp(red), continuous, on party mode with the original battery. About 1hour 45minutes with the Chinese 3100 maH. And almost 2 hours with the Panasonic 18650a . There is a Panasonic 18650b which has more power (3400) I think.
