With my herb now I am getting no residue besides tiny particles of offwhite after extended use. If plant matter gets through it's more greenish/yellow. I don't think that really matters and I think we are all talking about the same thing. Just clean your piece daily and you won't ever see anything!

ya.. it was out door.. fertilized w/ fish shit traps from a pond.. there was a series of problems i had this time.. it got rained on and i harvested a tiny bit early(like 4 days or so, no big deal).. i shook em out good.. had em drying in the garage w/ a fan on em.. a couple days later it was really windy and they got super dry.. i didn't get the cure i wanted either.. i tried curing it in a larger air tight bins and had trouble getting the RH to even out.. don't use a hydrometer so i was guessing based off curing in smaller jars and i was wrong haha.. it cured for like a month and a half.. but not quite right.. it wasn't all wet or anything though.. i'm pretty sure it even steamed up the glass even when it was really dried out..its hard to say now that its gone ha.. hiccups considered, it really wasn't bad, it just had hidden moisture in it i guess.. makes sense... i never did like smoking off the branch though ha.. i clean the piece every couple days.. but first rip would steam the shit out of it like permanently ha until it was cleaned..

my guess would be that the lack of curing played a big role, curing can make a huge difference(especially for more sativadomiunant strains)
I had some outdoorsativa that I grew myself, tried some fresh and thought I was in for someything greaty when it was dry(fresh it had a very nice orange-taste, unlike any weed I tasted before)
but once dry, it turned out toi be pretty harsh and produce little vapor, eventhough it did give a good high, and the high was pretty potent if I vaped enough of it(my definition of potency is not how concentrated it is, but also of you vape/smoke as much as possible, the maximum of the high you can achieve will be different, and this maximum was pretty high)
so I focussed on oinsuming my other strain, wich was more indica. after 2 months or so I got back to the jar with sativa, and it had become just as smooth or smoother as the indica-strain, and produced an average amount of vapor(instead of only thin whisps), it lost it's specific orange-taste though, it still tasted good but more standard/regular citrussy not distinctly orange.

ya.. i wasn't happy w/ how the cure was going the whole time.. i have never grown a sativa before last year.. they're cool.. i don't like using many, but man they get tall. curing is a huge part of herb quality.. aside from the herb itself and the flush.

I must disagree, in fact I find in some instances that moister material is preferable.

Fresh picked plants can go right into the HA for what I consider to be the closest to ideal vapor.

Maybe a different terpene/flavinoid makeup? I've noticed some batches resinate my pieces a bit quicker, but not white 'claim yet. I stopped using RezBlock for a sec and my BHO reclaim is normal, that yellow BHO color, but the actual stuff was white. Dunno much other than maybe just strain/batch-specific?

yeah it's everywhere in my bong today , i'm freaking out.

multi strains.

dont go away with a quick shake of 90%iso
