Environmental Irritant
I'm every "Reefer Madness" kneejerk reactionaries worst nightmare-a successful stoner. I have smoked weed almost everyday of my life for the better part of 40 years and am none the worse for it. I've always held a job, often very responsible positions such as nuclear missile crewman, senior inspector for a major oil company, builder of racing boats including offshore powerboats and an independent businessman. Weed has NEVER interfered with my job. I can't say the same for alcohol, coke or 'ludes. Any time I screwed up on weed, I probably would have done the same thing straight.

Last year my wife and I reevaluated a lot of things we thought were important, things we thought we had wanted all our lives and most of them now seemed unimportant. We then picked up all our marbles and said "fuck this rat race" and got out at 50 and 52 years of age. Turn on, tune in and drop out. It took a long time to understand what Timothy Leary really meant. I didn't become a hermit-quite the contrary. I am an Amateur Radio Operator involved in emergency communication services. When disaster strikes and your cell phone and the 911 system goes down, my ham radio WILL WORK and I will provide my neighbors essential communication. I don't mention these things for any reason except to put a different face on the perception some people have of stoners. Please note that except for occasional light drinking the only recreational drug I still use is marijuana. The others didn't make much sense as a long-term survival strategy.

One of the things I bought last year was a V- Tower Extreme. This was my first convection vaporizer. It is one of the best investments I ever made. Think about this- from the India Hemp Commission report of 1898 well into the 21st century almost every study of marijuana, no matter how well intended has had it's results tainted by the effects of pyrolysis (and/or junk science). We have a drug that when SMOKED is less toxic than aspirin and now, through a vaporizer we reduce the health risk even further. How safe does a drug have to be before we stop spending billions of dollars in prosecution, tying up the court system and ruining the lives of otherwise law-abiding citizens? Does any government have the right to tell you how to experience consciousness? Even if I had never touched a joint I wouldn't want my tax dollars wasted on this travesty of justice.

One last thing. I'm pissed off. Weed was supposed to have been legalized long before now. That and I'm out of butterscotch.

A few years ago I bought a VW...didnt like taking 25 super dry tokes everytime I want a buzz, then I bought a Vapir 5.0...didn't like it.
I gave up on vape until I found this site and now you guys have ruined me!!
I hold the VW up to my bong while holding the bowl in it while I wait for my VHW to arrive. It actually rips pretty damn good like that!

Want to get a DBV or SSV next for chillin with the wife on the couch.

Hi everyone, I'm new to this site and vaporising in general. Ive been smoking now for about 15 years and feel its time to give my lungs a rest. Also, over in europe we roll with tobacco which makes it harder to give up baccy if you're still using it in your spliffs, so I finally bit the bullet and bought myself an extreme v3 tower. I'm about to try it and will let you know what i think of it in about 30 minutes, once i've read the instructions and had a go.

By the way, i'm not sure where this info belongs, but I'd just like to thank Amit from Vaporlot. Ordered the thing and had it delivered the next day, free of charge!!! Amazing follow up service with an email with plenty of tips. Thanks mate!

will repost on here and tell you what i think of life without the carcinogens.........lovely to meet you all!:p

lol Guess you're damn right !

Hi THere !!

I've been reading this forum for a few weeks now, and finally decided to register.

I'm 29 and french, and we don't have that many vaporists so I'm glad I found you guys.
It gave me a all bunch of info, and it makes me want to buy some more vaporizers. :D

I bought my volcano classic bitd, in 2003, but i have only started to use it a year ago.
And I have to say I don't regret the money, a year without tobacco, papers, and lighters is almost the price i paid for it.
I also own the Iinhale, wich I find don't work as good as the VC, it doesn't take me where it should. But I do love it, coz now I can literally smoke Anywhere, anytime!!

So the next tape will be an Extreme so i can finally watch TV quietly or maybe a PD ( I just discovered the threads on that one) but i like the balloon, especially when with more than one friend.

And maybe a LB, coz I don't want to break my Iinhale when i'm in the undergrounds!

Cheers to all !!

You may want to wait until you can get the new, improved 'Q' version of the 'E'. The fan is supposed to be better, and quieter. As for the PD, alas, it's no longer available outside of North America, unless you can work something out with someone in NA, as the buyer and shipper. The LB is available in the UK from this dealer - http://www.vaporlot.com/ . That might save you some coin.

Thx a lot Max ! ;)
Going to London next week (was supposed to be today but the snow stopped the trains...basterds) so I will defintely look if I can find one in a shop.

For the rest, yeah thx, I saw the frenchies ( ;) ) and the Extr Q. And that plus what you just told me about PD not distributing in France, makes my choice easier... even if I'll still have to wait to buy because of lack of vaping funds.

But now i really want to try a vapo like the PD or the MyrtleZap, whereas before it did not appeal to me at all. :D

Ps/ Sorry for my bad english, ie "tape" instead of "step".... I was/am kinda vaked thow.

First post here..

Greetings, everyone. I've been reading the forum for some time now and figured I should go ahead and register. There's a lot of great information here and I just want to reaffirm that.

I've used several vaporizers over the last 10 years (Vape Doc, Vape Bros, Volcano, Iolite) and love seeing the advances in technology and in acceptance and use in the populous.

Keep up the good work! :peace:

Hey, first post here.

I'm a college student in upstate New York, and live in NYC. I tend to get really stoned when I smoke, so I only smoke on the weekends (so as not to fuck up my memory for my Japanese language classes). I don't have a vaporizer right now, and for a while was thinking of buy a Volcano, but I couldn't really justify the cost. I found the VaporGenie in a thread on the Something Awful forums and planned on buying a Classic, but after reading more about the Glass version decided to go with that, or so I thought. I went to look for more reviews on the interwebnets, and found the VG thread here, but they were talking about the Magic-Flight Launch Box and after reading all 57 pages of the Magic-Flight thread, I was convinced (and boy, were my eyes tired!). I'm about to place my order, and might also invest in a desktop vape later (deciding between DBV, SSV, PD, and MZ, maybe a Volcano if I save up the money). It seems like you guys have a nice community here and I'm glad to have joined.

I am actually cutting and pasting this from a separate post but it serves the purpose well.

Hello, I am Bruce with Zephyr Vaporizers. I am the Marketing Director and the Sales Coordinator. Prior to working with Zephyr Vaporizers I owned a company called Randy's Rolling Papers. I sold that company a year ago November in order to focus on Zephyr and the Zephyr Ion as I was converted to the true value of vaporization over combustion. That big leap from strictly combustion and paper to pure vapor did not start with the Zephyr Ion, I was first introduced to a style of vape that was essentially a upside down fishbowl on top of a soldering iron with a brass bowl affixed to it. That vape turned me off of vaporizers for a while. The next unit I tried looked like a thermos, and was a bit complicated for my dumb ass. The unit after that, the one that opened my eyes to vaporization was the Hot Box vaporizer, sure enough, American made and it did all of the things I was being told a vaporizer would do, I still like the whip style. I wasn't much of a fan of forced air style vaporizers because I thought that they wasted biomass and were quite pricey. A friend who owned one showed me that you don't always have to fill the bowl with biomass,... you could use a little bit and after the learning curve, I think forced air can be every bit as efficient as direct draw.
I enjoy vaporizers but of course am a bit partial to the Zephyr Ion.

Howdy,

Been smoking very intermittently since 1974 and recently decided to try out a vaporizer: after much research (lots of good stuff on this forum with a pretty low signal to noise ratio - well done) I've ordered a Launch Box.

Anyway, here's to no more smoking.

Best to all!

My name is Conan and I have a Silver Surfer vape. I got a factory second for a really good price. My spouse has a degenerative spine condition, and uses to help her pain. I haven't used it before, but I'm going to someday soon.

I've learned a lot of great information on this site, and hope to learn more.

Welcome Conan. You should enjoy the Surfer. I also hear you're getting a $30 million + buyout from NBC, so start shopping for that 2nd vape. ;)

Hey everybody. My name is unknown, but you can call me Perseus :)

I've been an occasional (2-3 times a month) smoker for about 3 years and a frequent (2-5 times a week) vaporizer for 2, I'm sure you all know what I've been smoking :ko:. I'm currently on a scholarship to and work full-time with a bunch of older, wiser stoners (and some burn-outs) than me. I push my "vaping agenda" on almost everyone I know who still combusts and have had 3 converts so far.

I love to read (particularly Ayn Rand, Dan Simmons, and Orson Scott Card) and write (I've won some money in contests, but I'm not that great which is why I'm majoring in a profession that can get me some money). In high school I was on varsity cross-country, track, and wrestling (I actually was the fastest miler runner in my state Freshman year), but have never been highly competitive and smoked through all 4 years. I like to play Nintendo 64 and D&D (3.5 and now 4th), but my favorite thing in the world is just sitting in a poorly lit room, music in the background, and talk to my close friends. I have a thing for mythology, note the pun in my username.

I own a Da Silver Buddha, have been on the wait-list for a Purple Daze since last November, and am purchasing a Magic-Flight Launch Box soon. These are my most prized possessions, along with my laptop and Kindle.
