Where to buy SG (Sovereignty Glass)?

BigDaddyVapor

@BigDogJunction
Congrats! Just be prepared... that piece is HUGE. 75mm can and a 6" base. It can double for home-defense.

Personally, I like big pieces... I just know a lot of vapor people, don't. I think its a gorgeous rig, I'd love to have it!

Has anyone used (or would suggest using) BM to find a Peyote Pillar? I'm thinking I may have better success there then trying to ninja buy the ever elusive PP's that show up on ALT?

Any other known suggested sellers to haunt online or around the SoCal area would be greatly appreciated as well?

Also, I've read through the grasscity forums for advice, and if I'm hearing the collective word correctly, it seems that if given the choice, the HollowFoot would be generally preferable over the Straight. From what I've read, it seems like while you can't go wrong with either, the HollowFoot tends to give larger single hits with more flavor vs. the fizzier lighter pull of the Straight? What do you all think? Is that reasonable or am I overanalyzing and it's truly just aesthetics, form over function, etc? (I want to get this right before I drop the BIG BUCKS). :)

Cheers,

Giant Robot

P.S. Also, for those that know me either on the glass forums here or on the Cloud side, if you think BM would be worthwhile, I'd love to get an invite to save a few bucks on their subscription format? I'm Giant Robot there as well.

Not saying it won't happen, but a BM invite is risky for the inviter, since they become responsible for any misdeeds the invitee commits.
Not saying you'd be doing anything dodgey, but it's stopped me from being willing to invite anyone I don't personally know

I've seen plenty of pillars on BM, never really taken much notice of the price since they are too spendy for me, but if you're dead set on getting one, BM would be a good place to look.
I just did a search for peyote and found 6 or 7 pillars for sale.

Thanks for the insight Fred... I wasn't aware enough of their TOS to realize that I'd be putting anyone in harm's way for having them vouch for me. Perhaps I'll wait a short while to see if I can save the $40 with anyone on the boards here that feels that I might be a decent enough risk (heh) but in absence of that, I guess I'll pony up as necessary. I'm sort of pragmatic about it as it might be worth the full entry to have an ongoing look at what I've heard for a long time as being the alpha/omega of glass sales.

I blame StoneMonkey for all of this(lol)...if not for the Cloud, I never would have been indoctrinated into the world o' glass and all that I have learned over the last year or so. Prior to this site, it was just me and my Iolite. :)

Since then, it's been a minor obsession, and a lot of fun. Through posts from yourself and others that add pix, youtube, etc. (Boobs, Pappy, etc.), I learned about Mobius and got a 65b Stereo Matrix that I love...but I still have kept the Peyote Pillar in my sights, and now that Uncle Sam owes me a few bucks (for once), I'm in stalking mode for sure.

Take care,

Hi all - After exhaustively searching around SoCal LHS for the better part of the last few days, I was able to locate and purchase a beautiful new HollowFoot Peyote Pillar with a red/black worked bridge. I tried it with the Cloud (vape-only pillar, sorry slide!) and was in heaven. I'll try to post a video later.

For the rest of you, while none will ship, I can direct anyone to roughly four other straight pillars in the Los Angeles/Orange County area that I found during my research, some with worked slides, some without, one fully worked in red), and one other hollowfoot, but strangely, it didn't have a bridge which was odd??

If interested, PM me and I'll give you the locations. :)

Cheers,

Giant Robot

P.S. Mods: I couldn't figure out how to edit and add to my last post after this much time went by so forgive this second post if it could have been avoided?

Wow - nice catch! One is already gone, but the one that's left is really nice... Hollowfoot Blue and Black bridge with matching slide against Platinum labeling. I'll bet it's gone by this time tomorrow...
