I'm traveling and met up with bOObs, who is a most gracious host and schooled me in the ways of the Cloud. It was the first time I used the Cloud with another glass piece--bOObs' Mobius something or other--and it was really nice. I liked his badass Evolver Hydratube as well.

I desperately need ELBs that fit!! As of last week, still no word on them yet. Sigh.
I want to get rid of this damn nervous feeling every time I pull an ELB out!! Out of the 6 that I have, only one comfortably fits in enough to at least allow the HT to be properly seated. And I tried using it with my bubbler the other day and because it sticks out so much, it pulled the cap off the elb when I went to clear it and spilled all the contents down the inside of the tree lol

At first I was like no way these will fit...but I was wrong after 1 hour of usage ... I miss my cloud!

I tried sticking them in the one other 18mm adapter i have, it wasn't as tight as the cloud joint so they didnt really train.
I have got the one all the way in a couple times, but it is CRAZY tight and requires prayer before removing. Trust me, if one of these was train-able, the one should fit in by now. But it doesn't.
Some of the others I have that were extra ones ordered, barely fit 1/3 of the way in.
And sorry, but there is no way im using the cloud to train these things. I thought about buying another adapter but I already spent $20 extra on the 4 pack of elbs that dont fit, so I don't want to have to spend another $20 to train them. And I know as soon as I order it, I will get an email saying the new old elbs are in

I've also noticed over the last few days, that if you give the elb a shake every other hit, I get 6 -8 big, great tasting hits off an elb instead of 4 good tasting hits and one weaker, less tasty hit. I use ~.2g /per elb and have been getting a slightly darker shade of AVB on the same temp setting as well.

I too have a bunch of new ELBs that don't fit because of size and I am attributing that to what was stated by SM55 about the tweak in specs resulting in too large of an ELB for the Cloud's joint. I'm not even messing with them waiting on that email. :-) Prior to the wrong sized ELBs getting into VXLs supply, the snug fitting ELBs can be trained in hours.
I pop mine out and drop it on the table every other dose or so from about 6 inches up since the contents seem to pack upwards. It's cool to see how frequent the ELB lands upright on its top.
Well cloud broke, knew I shouldnt have bought it from my friend since the lousy 1 year warranty doesnt transfer and now i out 250 dollars...oh well live and learn. It turns on and lights up but just wont heat up. Had a similar problem with my vivape but luckily it was covered. My buddy had unit since March and I bought it from him in June and have usedit acouple times a week ever since.
I really hope there is some consistencies with Elbs that fit soon and don't break. My 2 friends with older Elbs have never had any issues. Till then, and the FC discount, I'm waiting patiently.

sorry to hear. For something so expensive and new and for a company claiming to produce the best their reliability so far doesn't look stellar and their warranty flat out sucks. I want one but refuse to buy one until they actually start standing behind their products which IMO they are not. warranty terms are period are just too restrictive.

you should have your buddy send in a ticket... they should have some sort of receipt or email showing the purchase.

@tea party. Sorry for my linguistics. I should have said it APPEARS to be functional. I was willing to take that chance. As SliM stated, it's not nice to give friends crap to use but I trust nobody with three hundred dollars worth of glass. To me, this seems like a hospitable compromise. With a ten dollar 45 deg adapter the Cloud should stand on it hands free without tipping over. Its coming out today and I'll keep the group informed as to it's functionality soon. I did make one mistake. It is not acrylic but the much higher strength polycarbonate that is used in the tube. used in bullet proof situations t should be indestructible for our use.
