How much do you pre-grind?

This could come off as a pretty noob question, but I've always wondered and never bothered to ask. I usually pick up a quarter ounce at a time and spend a month or two going through it. Would there be any disadvantages to just grinding the whole stash up at once and having it ground whenever I want it? Cheers

Doesn't matter on the quantity, but rather the method of grinding and the amount of time you plan to re-use it. What i found works best is, use your grinder for the first time, don't grind the 2nd time, use either a coffee grinder or a rolling pin and glass jar to crush it for the 3rd and 4th time (if you get to a 4th time that is). Don't crush it into powder right off the bat, it's best saved for when you run out so the vapor hits more of the herb.

It has been so long since I have posted in this thread, I figured I would
pipe in my 2¢ again.

I never used grinders....
I always pulled my bud apart by hand.

Now at night, I perform the "Daily Grind"
In a day I use 1.5 grams of "bunk" for testing & fixing, and 3 grams of medical grade herb.
That is how much I pregrind approximately.
The MFLB naturally gets the finest grind... but I do 4 grind qualities for the different vape types I use daily.

Every grinder gets used daily!
At night, if I forget to grind, my Wife lovingly reminds me.. to avoid me having to suffer in the morning!

At home I'll go for a fresh grind but for outside or a quickie, I always have my two air tight glass jars packed with finely ground homegrown, 1g of each variety. They are so small I can hide them easy
I grind with ultra clean scissors in a small piece of glass
Got a lot of glass to handle my fresh weed too, I use special deep purple glass jars. All glass for all the AVB too
I'll send some pics later

I like the idea that what I consume is totally pure and not contaminated in any way
Everything touching my weed has been cleaned with 95% food grade alcohol
I used a ionizer and a carbon filter even for the drying. No shit in my bud
Amazing how the weed is good after only like 10 days after cutting

I've found the the more you grind up, the more you in one sitting. Theres nothing else to stop me from vaping than having to stop and grind up more

So real zoo,
I stopped pre grinding a bit for this reason and cause it was causing pain in my hands to grind up all that shit in once.
I always carry some buds on glass with me, my scissors, all the stuff, cause I'm tired of hiding it

Hey guys, I gave up the whole grinding thing because my newest vape
only uses buds and cannot use ground herbs.
My vapolution vapes buds squeezed into a glass tube.

I can lightly vape bud in this vaporizer and then use the ABV in my LB
by simply crushig the now very dry herb in the palm of my hand.

Its a win win situation! This dry herb (ABV) is very stealthy and powerful. :ko:

In your hand ? I personally don't like to touch the stuff, and if I do so, I get smelly/sticky finger witch can gets you busted and irritate your skin if you touch like your face.

All the stuff is concealed in glass and I use only scissors to handle and grind it. I grind it in a small glass jar so when I'm done, I can totally close the smell, air the room, and i can breathe fresh air. Bud smell often makes me sneeze

I like to keep a double sided air tight match container, which holds pregrinded material for my pax on one side, and abv on the other for when I'm out and about.

HAKUNA MATATA!!
I allways have 1gram ready on use on me and the rest of the buds secure in jar!!
Walk out of your home with more than 1g can some times be risky!!

I never pre-grind. To me preparation is as much part of the ritual as is vaping (or smoking occasionally). I like to take my time because I find the whole process very relaxing. I think herbs loose some of their aroma if you pre-grind them.
