Does anybody know how the air path is on this thing? I know the heating element is ceramic, but is the air path in any way in contact with the batteries?

This has been covered pretty well if you look back a couple pages but no, the air intake is isolated from the lower part of the vape where the batteries are housed

Hi TV, I ordered two units for delivery down under, a week later still waiting for tracking details even after multiple emails requesting it. Given the $170 dollars paid for GXG freight I realy hope the lack of tracking details has nothing to do with a delayed dispatch.

About to pull the trigger on this guy (said that before about the solo and changed my mind )

I have some questions first though to people that have this already:

1. My biggest worry: Do you have any problems with your herb falling past that screen whose holes look quite big to me? (Not mouthpiece screen, the one right on top of the heating element that glows orange).

2. Has anyone tried slapping some tubing on their TV and filtering it through water yet?

3. Anyone found a cap sort of thing to put on the end of the mouthpiece to reduce smell yet? (saw this mentioned earlier in thread, then all talk of it ceased).

Thanks in advance!

I plan to be ordering from PiU (Thermovape Black V1 Kit+ some MFLB accessories + 15% discount= 232 total?) SCORE! :D

I received a defective Arizer Solo so i'm thinking about this one.

My main concern is vapor quality and ease of cleaning.

Anyone can tell me more about cleanability and vapor strengh?

I hate to be the bearer of bad news, but unfortunately there is no discount offered anymore at puffitup for this vape. . .

Sorry, mate.

I'm very curious about this vape and I love how this company presents itself in the forum, but personally I think that just one bowl/10 to 15 hits on a fully charged set of batteries is a bit ridiculous. I know I'd get tired of swapping and charging pretty quick.

Are there any long or short term plans to either make changes to the heater or the batteries to improve this substantially?

Understood, while it would be nice and all, it's that exactly what happens with the wildly popular MFLB? You get a trench from a fresh battery, maybe two if you push it? Guys do just fine with a couple trenches of ground bud and a couple of charged batteries. I'm betting same thing here.

I wouldn't hold my breath for great leaps in capacity in that format. The maker has done his homework IMO. He hammers that battery pack hard, so hard it can only make it to the end of the race. Anything bigger and heavier would be bigger and heavier. And the heater couldn't be made any smaller without performance cuts.

One last thought about Solo and other unit's you can't just swap new batteries into and keep going.....

Always trade offs The solo is an amazing device. you can medicate for hours on the same set of batteries unlike the TV but as most of us know you cant just press the button and get a pull. it needs to warm up about 2 minutes.

What someone wants is up to them. The omicron right now is the ultimate for me. runs for days on 1 load and 1 charge. Seem like the flower version is going to suck more juice and you end up with the TV. I am very interesrted to see if the revolution can compete with the omicron.

I am very interested to see how this unfolds. Portable vaporization has finally got some really strong designs and this is a big benefit for the consumer. Lots of different options that suit different applications

I too would love to see some actual videos of usage. We all know the mega clouds the solo can produce I wanna see some from the TV.

Read the thread these are both VERY well covered. You can clean it in water or iso. Vapor strength seems good from what people are saying. I've heard it called a "portable SSV" which is basically the ideal portable IMO.

I am just waiting until I have the money for this soon. I have already decided that I will be getting one.

Well we're sure together on most of this, I think on all the important points you made. I too have been amusing myself with the Omicron. And a pair of the Atmos units which I think are basically the original units Omicron sold (each having some advantages IMO). As I use them (perhaps less than you) they do many weeks on a gram and need charging once a week or so. I too was attracted to the Revolution (not so much the TV) from the Omicron experience.

I too see exciting times as free market forces come into play and the profit motive (however evil that is...) motivates good men with good ideas to try them out to all our benefit. We don't have to live with just the volcano as a different model might lead to.

We differ on the solo. I've no need (nor desire) for 'huge clouds' as I'm not really a recreational user. Nor do I really favor glass and other frail stuff when there are tougher materials out there that are suitable. Nor am I a big fan of internal batteries that must be charged in place and will no doubt get weaker over time as they all do. I'll leave that machine to those it fits better.....as it should be. This also means that even if I put a lot of stock in videos on the web (for education, for amusement many have a lot to recommend them.....) videos of guys I don't know blowing vapor all over aren't that interesting. Maybe we need more cute testers in skimpy outfits?

Hey, gotta get breakfast together. My TV is coming today, I think I'll need my strength.....

Come to medex someday and we can have a session and try out each others new xmas toys... persei should be here soon for me.

Clouds are an issue for many of us because of time. Different needs for different applications. Many of us medical users dont like having to wait 10 minutes of sucking on an MFLB to get properly medicated where as 2 good pulls off the solo or 8-12 hits off the omicron acheive the same effect. Time is a big factor in portable vaporization as is battery life. The solo has long battery life, huge rips, and reasonable heat up time. The MFLB is very stealthy but compromises on everything else IMO. The TV seems to focus on quick heat up time, short battery life, supposedly huge rips.

No one is trying to convince you to buy a solo but for a lot of us reading at home that is the benchmark at the moment to compare to. We saw from the vapor blunt thread that it really was not in the same league as the Solo. The TV seems to be a very well designed unit and I sit patiently waiting for videos and some more direct comparison to the Solo.

Very excited to hear your thoughts on your TV later today.

1. If you read back this seems like a non-issue
2. There is supposed to be an water pipe adapter coming out soon but regular tubing is supposed to work.
3. I asked this and I guess its a Mcgyver job of your own, maybe TV will make something? Maybe cool interchangeable tops like PEZ candies? :)

Hey, now yer talkin'! Never been to Medex but this sounds like the idea excuse to fix that. You could even try my TV and decide for yourself. Hey, you're already fully calibrated on the Solo, right? Relative measures really are the best in so many cases. Your trying both would make your conclusions useful to others I think.

I understand the time deal, and like the Omicron for that reason, but suggest you try adding retirement to the deal. Changes that whole 'time is real important' thing. Has other advantages too, happy to explain them to you sometime if you want.

I too am looking forward to the testing. I'll be most happy I think if I'm in no condition to be getting my thoughts in order to report here....... At least not right away.

Then again, TV could have rigged this unit (I wouldn't put it past him, would you?). Not sure how to deal with that. Time will tell.

I think I'll go check the progress on the package, it's been half an hour or so......

When you get your TV please write something - thoughts etc. I think it will be more informative and useful than a video! And I need a good laugh today - your posts are the best, so I am going to look out for your thoughts on this!

Also please finish the story of the puppy in a cage - there needs to be a conclusion! Maybe a picture of it frolicking on the lawn :)

Another matter - is that we definitely need tips and tricks and stuff. This vape seems like it will explode and there will be lots of questions as well as stuff to learn and share!

I sure intend to let folks know what I think...if they'll listen. I'm not really shy, am bad at keeping secrets and have some history of getting into trouble by calling 'em just like I see 'em.

Thanks for the kind words, glad you enjoy. It should be that way, right?

I'm not too sure about my soon to arrive 'pound puppy'. I still have reservations about it's treatment. I guess I'll know soon enough when I see if TV cut some air holes in the box before he shipped it out, won't I?

It is going to be a very personal thing, of course, and I'm not a photo poster but I too like happy endings........

Thanks again, and stand by for confusion. Err, make that 'more confusion'?

No, I don't know of any, nor do I think they exist really. Which is why THC put so much effort into fixing 'the weak link', the cart. THC and other stuff we want just doesn't dissolve into glycerin to be useful in a serious sense. You can put hash oil in and get some good hits at a large expense in lost oil. It's all been tried I guess.

So here's my understanding. THC used to be in the 'load the conventional carts with THC' business. He produced several sorta successful products, nothing like the Omicron performance. He's so open about it he published his old recipes for those who (still) want to try:
https://www.stickyguide.com/forums/196

Yes, I poked at it some out of curiosity it's lame at best relative to what Omicron does now and TV will have out before the next new moon....or so he says.

If concentrates are your goal, I'd suggest starting with a vape designed for them from the ground up?

Well this isn't all that fair. Mine only had to come about 25 miles. Last report still shows it getting to the local PO at 6:30. I hope it made the truck.

Hey, fair's fair, right? If I don't get mine with today's mail, how about you hold off opening yours?

OK, OK, no I wouldn't do the same for you (at least not for free.....), but it was worth a try.

Is it too much to sit on the front porch waiting? I though so.....

OK guys, here it is, first thoughts out of the box and into the hand:

This thing is way cool, you want one. Even if it doesn't work, it's cool. It's smaller than I thought (shorter than the Omicron, even without it's rubber mouth piece), although bigger around. Like a slightly longer SureFire flash light, but without the bulge. The switch is easy to move and very positive, it handles very naturally. Heats to 'glowing hot' in about 3 seconds, when the guy gets off the roof and out of my life I'll find out how that translates to vapor.

Built like the traditional brick dunny, but surprisingly light. Aluminum is much lighter than the common stainless one sees so much. It does rattle some, but I don't see that as an issue if you don't go shaking it a lot.

And talk about goodies. I got four extra mouthpieces, metal, short, long and white in short and long in addition to the one on it. Not sure if everyone gets that, but I have forgiven TV a little bit. Got a Tootsie Roll Pop too, not my first choice of flavors, but I can live with that.

I can see the problem another guy posted about a bit ago. The chamber has a 'corner' at the top where air is only exhausted in the center that's not going to heat at all well. But it's very easy to open, dump, crush and reload (much more so that even the LB I think). Gotta see where that leads.

My normal urge would be to pull it to bits and spend the rest of the morning poking around, but some testing first seems in order. Time to grind up some herb. I think I'll go with Headband......

Anyway, more to follow, but take my advice and start thinking of where you're gonna raise the bucks for yours. If the Revolution is built like this, it too should outlast the cockroaches.

Baited question your honor. We all KNOW this thing is going to produce far more vapor than the MFLB haha. I don't see how that is even a question. (not hating the MFLB still have my walnut one).
