Genius! thank you! This advice will keep me from combusting until I get home! Luckily I still have my stainless CCD and it's not being used because I use the dynacoil in my stainless tip now.

I enjoy heating my vapcap with my Wood Sense, or an IH. I had completely stopped using it, the torch is not a part of the enjoyment, for me. I do understand how people coming off of smoking would be cool with it.

I’m not and never have been a smoker. I’ve had a few joints and bong hits in my life but on the whole I didn’t consume cannabis regularly until I got an OG Pax. I just prefer the manual, mechanical aspect of heating with a torch, controlling all the variables myself. Plus the ritual aspect of it is immensely pleasing.

the tool looks great. I actually use the wood skewer/stick that came with my woodscents which works very well, but would really like to pick one of these up as the wood will eventually become to sticky and with your tool i can clean it.
Dynavap has their stash tool/digger i think for 10 dollars. I don't know how much these materials cost, and more is used for this tool, or how long it takes you to make them. Just throwing out a number, maybe 15 dollars on the low end maybe 25 on the high end?

I was looking for an alternative storage tube for my 109mm Dynavap, because the one who comes with the unit always ended up breaking in the hinge. I found this aluminum Doob tube made by Raw on amazon for only 7$, it has exactly the same dimensions as the original tube but it as a screw cap with cork insert inside the cap.
For people interested, just type Raw Tube on amazon.... but be aware that the same search on google gives a totally different result!

Thicker glass would be a trick as Steven uses some of the thickest glass in the China glass world. I have this piece along with a couple others that @ataxian has recommended over time (like to D020 and the D022) and they are all part of my daily rotations. But the FC-187 is the largest piece I use to vape, other than maybe the FC-UFO, also Steven's. I'm not sure I want something larger. Pieces designed for combustion can overwhelm some vapes and smaller is often better.
