Boundless Tera

I bought my Tera, supposedly v3, about 2-3 months ago and only just bothered to check for a serial number. Turns out there's no number on the bottom of mine, is this definite proof that's it's not a version 3? I bought brand new, from namaste and naively just trusted I'd get what I ordered. Now I'm worried I've been vaping out of something potentially harmful.

@Justastoner350 I'm not 100% sure but there are/were a few other ways to discern this. They started putting screens in the oven with the V3. Can you remember if there was a screen in there when you opened the box? There are other mentions a few pages back bit it's a while since I read these so I can't be 100% sure. The serial numbers are very very faint. Double check this - not trying to insult bit my eyes arent bad and I struggled to see the serial in low light.
Failing that an email to namaste or contact Eric/boundless through here or direct email. He'll definitely give you all the info that you need.

I don't think these were ultimately 'unsafe' there were stress tests done, using the concentrate mode and from the stress tests the Teflon started to degrade. Based on this and a lot of opinions in the community boundless decided to recall. So from what I see the Tera v3 may be acceptable if you are only using this in flower mode. Everyone is different - I didn't like the idea of Teflon. The V3 is more to my liking (stainless steel - some people want even use that and prefer glass/ceramic)

Either way and for piece of mind I would message namaste and progress from there.

Oh also try the oled screen flip? 3 clicks on the 'up' temperature button. It reverses the orientation of the numbers on the screen. I believe this is a v3 feature.

Good luck

Also, taking things for granted. I've just tried to look at my serial number and can only just make out the last two letters. They are very feint even in bright daylight.

Hey guys what are the best and cheapest batteries for the Tera? I have no clue about batteries but the ones that came with it (LG HG2 i believe) are a little slow charging and dont give me more then 4-5 bowls

There are a few that come to mind. The least expensive acceptable battery would be the Samsung 30 Q which IMR has for $4.75

If you decide on LG HG2 they are cheaper at illumin.com

Thanks @Some-new-user. I can't remember if it had a screen already in place. The screen does flip but I thought this happened on v2's too? I didn't trust my eye sight either, so made my partner also check haha :sherlock: Then googled just see exactly what the serial number looks like, and there's definitely not one on my Tera. Could be a possibility it's worn off?

Possibly, maybe? I'd be more inclined to think you may have a v2 unit. I'd definitely contact namaste or even get in touch with Eric/boundless. I did say yesterday that I don't think it's a life threatening situation but still for your peace of mind for the sake of a couple of emails definitely worth it. I may have been wrong with the screen flip being an additional feature for v3.

Good luck, fingers crossed let us know how you get on.

Additionally my Tera survived a 6ft drop last night. On to a carpeted surface. It happened in slow motion. Dink. Batteries, cover mouthpiece and a dosing pod went everywhere. I panicked put everything back together and the Tera was like 'what?' I wouldn't recommend this, it was an accident but this vape is very sturdy.

Serial number is the one to look for. It's very faint, but not invisible. If it's there, it's a V3. If not, it's an earlier version.

Smushed! Seems like you got pretty Smushed by the end of that. Brilliant video. Noticed your setup changed a bit from your previous videos. Did you relocate?

I want the Tera even more now after that great sesh video, I am a born again bong fan and it looks like it was made to be used upside down. By the way you discarded the oven screen you reinforced that thought.
I wonder when it will be available in Aus,.
I would love to use PIU but last time I checked, freight made it quite expensive to get it out here to the colony. Maybe he could do freight free if I buy both.

Edit; I must restrain.....VAS

Definitely Smushed!

The setup did change a bit, as did the software. I'm thinking of trying something new again in the next video too
interesting, great to see things evolving with you. Loved your 'lost' videos/reviews. Keep up the good work.

I have been playing with water this week. Couple of diy pieces made from mason jars/dispensers. Very fun.

My first 3D print. I used a 18mm Hydromax stim. The stim mates with the bowl, more or less, essentially giving a glass vaper path. Its attached using a stronger neodymium magnet then Boundless uses, using the magnets was a great choice though. I can shake the Tera while holding it by the stim sideways and it’s rock solid. But It comes off easy enough that it’s not awkward. The SBL Hydromax mouth piece gives it some extra cooling. Next I’m going to make one that uses the 3D mouthpiece for the Airizer.

It's really easy:
  • Remove the glass from the mouthpiece
  • Take off the rubber at the bottom
  • Softly tap the silver part out with a rubber hammer
  • Friction fit the Solo stem in the plastic (BE CAREFUL, TIGHT FIT)
  • Add a o-ring or a bit of silicone tubing on the inside for a 100% seal
  • Insert screen (preferably domed) in the stem
Final step: :mmmm:

I tried the Arizer Solo stem mod following the above directions.

To get the silver part out I ended up using a rubber handle of a hammer over a light socket. The Solo stem didn't fit at first until I warmed up the plastic part. Very impressed with the result!
