Discontinued Haze Square

I understand your thought process there. None of my friends have ever used portable convection vapes. A few have learned to draw on the square and think its awesome like me - and a couple just can't for the life of them get the draw down and think it sucks lol...

We all know around here its a learning curve buts not necessarily a device that you can pull out at a party and everyone will be able to hit it. Then again - that isn't its purpose... that's what tabletop vapes are for.

Yeah. I learnt my lesson. I thought I was gonna be the only one. Then a few people were like wow that thing is cool. Can I hit it. And I share. Big mistake. Buddy combusted who doesn’t usually smoke or vape. You don’t let anyone drive your manual Porsche do you? Yeah I didn’t think so. I’ve had every time of friend hit this thing now. The one who combusts. The one who gets nothing. The one who gets a nice hit.

Going to @django7 great post. I have to disagree on the priming hit. I’ve never had to do a priming hit. I always get visible vapour without one. I do agree with most of what was said. Not the most efficient now that I think about it. Last night I only got 5-7 good hits at 395F and then no visible vapour and felt like I was getting nothing. So I switched bowls. But it also got me wrecked man. Put me in a great social setting. Mello at times and very talkative at others. Perfect mixture with the Beer. That’s the beauty of having 4 bowls. Yes the vape does totally extract quickly. A bowl really can only get 8 hits usually depending on temp and draw. But we are taking monster draws at about 10 seconds. Totally agree that you need to focus on your draw. You need to listen to the airflow and how quick you are inhaling and adjust based on sound and feeling of vapour.

Lastly, you really need to feel it. No two hits are the same. Like a bong. You pull harder and quicker or softer and slower it will change your vapour in the same fashion as a bong. You need to know when to slow down and speed up. That’s where buddy fucked up. He kept feeling it in the throat at 395F and just kept going. When he was feeling that he should have increased draw speed to cool the vapour down. Then again I don’t really know what he did. All I know is it was combusted huge in the centre. Wasted a bowl lol. But I didn’t combust. So at least I know I’m doing it right, right? Lol

I think I got all combustion out. The silicone housing for the lids still as a minor smell when I sniff it. Hopefully I don’t taste it. I washed with dish soap over night. If it doesn’t work into the Zeus cleaning solution it goes. Everything is drying now.

I just updated the Haze Square Shipping thread. Please note that we are expecting stainless steel bowls in this inventory as well. Currently, our team is adding this accessory to the website.

Our sample for the micro-dose pods should be here the following week. I will update when they are here and tested.

MAC version of the app is still being worked on as Apple demanded a bunch of changes and the developers are working on these. We are almost ready to resubmit and hopefully it will be available in Apple Store shortly.

Our team will start coding the Android version right after that.

We are also making a list of ideas from you all. Please keep them coming. I appreciate all members who emailed and PM'd us their ideas on future development, accessories and all.

P.S: We are following this forum very closely but we prefer not to interfere with discussions. If there is a common request for information, we will post it right away but for individual issues, learning curve related questions or in general, If you guys need anything, please reach out via PM and I will respond as fast as I can.

Thank you all for your support and love. We appreciate it.
yippie !!!

Oh boy, well... I had hoped to report better news but my Haze Square Pro that I got back after repairs is actually less functional than when I sent it to Haze. Still overheats immediately (even when off at room temperature). Only had it on for about 2 minutes before it started flashing and vibrating again. Produces no vapor at all, at settings ranging from 360 -430 F. It produced vapor previously, but often combusted. At least no combustion now!

If they performed a seal fix, you need to lower your temperatures via the app. It should be working at the optimal temperatures now. If still having issues, PM me.

I don’t want to be argumentative, but the whole reason I bought the Square was to be able to use it in a party situation. To me, 4 prepacked large bowls = social Vape.
Unfortunately, the learning curve makes this very difficult.
Again, not trying to be negative, but it definitely has some contradictory features.

Got my combustion taste out. Just had a hit at 350F and got a nice taste and saw some vapour. Not asking for tons but seeing some come out at that temp is satisfying. Both the feeling of the vapour and the visual.

I dunno @Jill NYC would you buy a Ferrari and let everyone drive it? I like to think of this vape like that. You don’t drive a Ferrari from a to b. You only drive it from a to a on a cruise. Same thing for this vape. This is a special type of vape, and something that shouldn’t be shared with everyone. Hell I know people who are not allowed to touch the volcano unless the bag is done for them. My wife for example hits vapes but ever changes temp or packs bowls. If a single session for just her I always get all vapes going for her. Hope that made sense.

If the Ferrari was made with 4 bucket seats, then yes. Why wouldn’t I want to show it off?
Again, now that I have had it for a few months, I know that I cannot use it the way I originally intended. If I had known ahead of time, I would probably not have purchased it. If this is how it works, I’d rather it be smaller and only one bowl.

Honestly I don’t wish I ordered anything other than a spare battery for when that time comes and an extra coil. Other than that I can live with the stock set up. Also micro doss pods but those aren’t available yet.

Wow. They are onto a phase 4 eh for pre order. Wow.
Saw some of your coil posts @ginolicious. Have you had to do a battery swap? Considering a battery purchase myself and wondering if the day for a replacement will arrive sooner than the future swap/upgrade.

Budget minded, VAS inflicted and always hip to a deal...that's me

Thanks to anyone else who has new battery success. I'm rockin' the stock batt and it's waning a bit (phase1). Waiting for the Android app and thinking it could give some effeciency. How much, tho? Always near an outlet, but lazy more often than not. Charging at least once a day

I ordered nothing but the device itself. No need for an extra battery yet. Device is still very new. I charge it once a day before bet. It always has a full charge. I rarely do 4 bowls in a day. Most I’ve done in a social setting was 2. I had to re set my coil after my buddy combusted. Well he’s not really a friend. Friend of a friend. And after the resetting once again. Life is well and back on track. Been slowly smoking one bowl of purple wreck today at 350F and I’m having chilling vibes in 40C weather in there backyard.

Hey guys hope everyone is having a good vape day, a couple of things:

1) I was having issues with my draws and I checked all the usual suspects after looking at coil i noticed the airway path to mp was blocked by spooge. I cleaned it and mp and much better! So remember to check mp pathway and mp it might be your problem.

2) I'm sure most of you know this but I even asked Haze before I got unit so I could stock up - when cleaning stainless screens try to use 99% iso it is way better at stripping goo off. I just shake my screens in a Tupperware full of 99% iso for thirty seconds and rinse. Then back to it!

And @ginolicious you suck cause the heat index here is 107 f JK just enjoy it!

I agree with @Djsleepy use 99% iso. May lid caps not the screen part, the other part gets pretty gross on some bowls. And i currently have 77% iso. Doesn’t work as well as the 99%. All I had. Had to clean that combustion off.

Also if you drop your unit it may pop your coil out. Just saying.

It fell out of my pocket as I was sitting on a chair at my neighbours house. Fell on the lawn. But it slipped out of my pocket haha right on the lawn. And moments after the friend of friend combusted. So..... take it how you will. My device has blemishes for sure from just setting down etc.

Just got my square back after a long absence. They replaced my coil and lowered my oven. They also updated my firmware which now gives my hepatic feedback when changing temps.

Had mixed results before, biggest issue was combustion at low temps.

Well, 3 bowls in and I think I have a winner now!

Small clouds at all temps but no combustion even with a double press on high. Flavor is amazing! Tried some BHO tasted better than any dab rig or coil. I'm not worried about not having big clouds and my ABV is not that dark, but compared to my Boundless CFX (super dark ABV), I got way more high off less hits with lighter ABV. But now it is evenly brown where before it was really mixed green, brown, black.

So, so far so good. I will be running a lot of bowls tonight and will update if things change.

@RogueGuy if you are gonna double press check your coil periodically. Doing double press has a tendency to warp the coil.
I only found I wanted double press for concentrates.

Another bowl down. Wow! This thing really packs a punch and I can't say enough about the amazing flavor.

@ginolicious I'm a little behind on reading the posts but did you get your unit back to working for you? You mentioned no clouds but were you getting effect? I'm getting small to minimal clouds but there is no doubt whatsoever that I'm getting extraction. I'm new to vaping and have an insane tolerance, the Square really got me high.

I've been passing this thing around to a handful of friends. Only 1 was having some problems because they kept hitting it like a baby. Everyone else was going strong. None of them had used any vapes but a volcano maybe once. Kept them all at 365F.

Still having sticky mouthpiece in the storage. Even swapped out to the new backup MP and still sticking in the storage spot. Tried to clean it with a q-tip but didn't see any residue that would make it stick. Odd. Thankfully I'm just being careful and keeping an eye out for when the bottom O-ring slides off from the friction.

My square is still working like a charm regardless. No combustions since I re-sat the coil. Got some screens that fit perfectly in the pods. Inner Diameter of a pod - 17.4mm (busted out the digi calipers), and has made opening the tray worlds cleaner. Just using 1 screen on the top for now, haven't tried 1 on the bottom yet. I did try the "micro" smash tamp method. Worked pretty decent. Think I prefer just leaving it a bit loose and filled up.

Got a new pollen press too. Funny, the 1g pucks fit perfect in a pod too lol. Wouldn't work obviously but still made me laugh. Used some of it sandwiched mid pod, and worked great.

@Haze Vaporizers any update on the extra trays being shipped to us Wanderlust supporters? Just planned a road trip for end of July, and am looking forward to putting it to the true travel test. 12 full pods. 5 day road trip. Going to see how long I can go before reloading them all. At my rate probably 3 days. Been going through about 1 full tray a day with a charge or two to keep her topped off. I agree that keeping the battery above 50% seems to keep the vape flowing better.

Keep up the awesome work Haze.

Went through a bunch more bowls. Had a couple of near combustion bowls so I took the advice of others and put a screen under the herb, between herb and heat. I think this makes a huge difference. It seems to help distribute the air and heat more evenly. I was able to take bigger hits at higher temps with no hint of combustion. My ABV is much darker.

@Haze Vaporizers any chance you guys would source some titanium screens for the Square?

Found some 5/8 ti screens on line but they are $5 a piece. If anyone has a source, post a link.

Battery is supposed to be user swappable, so shouldn't be a problem if you try to disconnect it. I will test it before sending my unit, that's for sure.
