Cannabis Strain Reviews

I know that the quality of the grow and the quality of the cure can be just as important as the differences between strains, but I just got a batch of Jack Herer that is not only the best Jack that I have ever run across, but also the best herb that I've ever vaped.

Best for me means a soaring head high without being racy and without being opiate foggy (clear headed high), while also providing a very nice, relaxing body tingling high, all without the "I wanna go to sleep" come down. In other words, just a really well balanced herb. A sativa dominate strain with just enough indica in there to take the edge off.

Genetics: Skunk#1, Northern Lights, Haze

I really, really like this one.

So, what's your current favorite and why?

Around here I would have to say Sour Diesel because of it's impact, powerful, heady and dreamy. Also recently tried something called "Pink Champagne" which I liked alot - kind of cerebral like a sativa kind of head, less narcotic than an indica type buzz. Otherwise we get kush and haze, and that's pretty much it. The kush guy at the corner informs me, "this shit get you fucked up!"

It's hard when you can't really pick out a specific strain from a dispensary, so only when I'm lucky enough to get something directly from the grower. Would have to be a nice, sedating couch compelling Hindu Kush.

Yeah, it's really interesting on how we all differ on what we want out of our bud. Between vaping at different temps along with the characteristics of the different strains, we can really dial in on what we want from our MJ. Gone are the days of just wanting to get high. Now it's all about getting the specific kind of high that we want. Nice that we can do that when we want, eh?

White Widow. Used to love Green Crack but I just can't find it anymore.

My daily vape stuff right now is some AK47.

I've only managed to get Jack Herer once and it blew my socks off.

Don't know where you live, quomist, but if you're in SoCal, I can steer you to a place that just got in a new, very sticky batch of Green Crack.

I am with jeffp, I have been smoking sour d for a few weeks now and its phenomenal stuff. I also picked up some platinum kush which is slowly becoming a favorite. Living in Chicago I have no access to a dispensary yet, but I sure hope soon.

AgentofChaos,
I've been getting mine from a home grow operation, and so far I like what he calls Bubba Kush. That shit is awesome. It is good for pain relief and mood balance. Gets ya quick, too.

Bubba Kush is a well known strain, and very good.
White Widow for sativa dom and purple kush for indica dom
runner ups are sour diesel and blue dynamite respectively.

Yeah. I like White Widow too. Haven't had any for awhile. Pretty psychedelic weed. Lots of visuals.

I couldn't agree more with sour diesel, it's one of my favorite strains.
My current fav is Headband, very potent, powerful head stone and great body. They named it headband for a reason.

What's Going On?
Green Crack, I currently holding on to my last eighth of it :uhoh:. When I run out I have no idea what will be available. The guy I get it from has a rotation of plants, the Green Crack I just got from him was a trial grow kinda. It turned out great and became one of my favorites, but he fresh out now. I'll have to check what he has coming in next, he usually keeps the strain and indica/sativa variable, it's nice in my opinion to save a little of everything for the occasion of knowing what I want, other than that I love the variety of not knowing what's coming next. A fun game I did was throw an eighth of about 4-5 different strains together, ground it all up and couldn't tell one from the other. Luckily there were some visual cues if I knew what I wanted.

I'm a big fan of Jack Herer strain...love the distinctive 'blue smell' that is very very strong. Blue Dream was the first weed that I ever said 'damn, what is this shit called' too. Green Crack is also up there. This is for combustion though.

For vaping...the best MJ I have found so far is a strain called Eagles Nest that I got from a local dispensary. Best tasty MJ I have ever had hands down, bar none. The high was not disappointing either. The Sours are also very good...sour D being a classic and, at the moment, I am vaping some Sour Dream that has not been disappointing.

I have found in my use that the purples are usually disappointing. While being very pretty flowers, I don't find them to be very potent. The several times I have tried very purple flowers (GDP, Grape Ape, Purple Flo) I found myself to also be wanting a little more out there.

Did ya get that Eagles Nest at AEC ? ;)

Totally agree with ya about the purps.

Last week, I picked some some Jack, some Skywalker and some Green Crack. I'm good for a bit.
Also agree with ya about the Blue Dream. First time I took few hits of that, I was like........."wow....nice."

yep purple are overall pretty week but thats cuzz their short bloomers the shorter something blooms the weaker it is in the naturalworld that is in, hybridworld not so annymore.

i've got 2 different jacks overhere both heavy one doesn't smell strong, but more hazy on the background, this one is more the skunkredhair in the jack it also tastes a bit earthy with a hint of a lavendar, and the other is more fruity and smells of somekind of candy i had as a kid and found i horrible, think they where fruitloops. This one is still blooming for 12 weeks now, still no end in sight. have pick some little crap from the bottom to taste and its already one of my favs totally different than the other one and i have a feeling its heavy

@ finchrock24 by the way what do you mean by "blue smell"

I agree. C99, which is short for Cinderella99, or just Cindy is the best I've had. When well grown and cured it produces an almost psychedelic high. Cinderella 99 is a child of the Jack Herer strain. You will not be disappointed with this one. :o

Hi!

I thought it would be fun to talk about different strains we like to vape.

Right now I'm vaping some PURE OG KUSH from Los Angeles. Good balance of mind and body (emphasis on the head).

What strains are you guys vaping? What are some of your favorite strains to vape? Are there certain strains you used to like when combusting that you find you dont really like when vaping? I noticed that I dont get everything out of my indica strains, when vaping, but I get almost everything out of my Sativa strains. Could this be do to the fact that Indicas are higher in CBD vs THC when compared to Sativas. Maybe the density of the bud also plays a role as Sativas are alot more fluffier and less dense then indica nugs. Its kind of a bummer on the flip side of the coin because I was a big time Indica man back when I was combusting. There is nothing like a fat bowl of some Grand Daddy Purple to give you that nice Indica body stone. I'm hoping when I get my new whip from the vaporstore.com that I will be able to achieve a higher temp because it appears this whip will place my herbs closer to the heating element so maybe that will render some of my favorite Indica strains as prime candidates for vaping. I want to get everything out of my herbs. There is no point in vaping just to receive half of everything my herbs has to offer. I've come to the conclusion that the Indicas need a higher vaping temp to get everything out of them compared to Sativas. What do you guys think? Why is my post here and not in the original thread I created for it? :o
