Lonesome Planet
how’s the draw. Happy as a pup in Spring!

I do so hope to find a drill bit, and a glass liner, after digging up the Dremel cutting wheel.

Yessiree, Ken.

A beauty of a day in old 01002– rode me 29er for the first time this year!

Yes, a beaut of a Spring-like day in Olde New England!
Happy as a suwee! pig! :ko: In May

Asked about why my new etched cap is taking longer to cool down and received this reply:

"With the custom caps, we went with a new design that made the cooldown click slightly longer, but it shouldn't cause any problems with functionality."

If I knew about that I would have gone with a standard cap. I would rather choose performance over appearance...

baba, I think I have a new unetched cap, if you wanna swap. What etching, besides the sun, is it?

That makes me very happy. It's going to be even a bit warmer tomorrow here in the 01930. I may take my guitar out for a spin-she misses the sun and fresh air too.

@Ricardo haha I saw that quick Cameo the DVstash/M made on the last episode of "high Maintenance" good product placement I must say:tup::leaf:
But what was the other unit the Dude was hitting? Is that the famous Grasshopper?? Instant clouds!
EDIT: Do you really think it was product placement? As in DynaVap paid to have it appear on the show ? That would sadden me... .

I always begin heating the cap over the bottom third, near the digger outter. This brings the Vapcap up to a nice toking temp from a cold start. The second cycle is heated over the middle third because there is residual heat in the tip and bottom heat is not needed at this point. I finish off a third cycle heating the top third of the cap. This gives me a nice toast colored ABV, smooth tokes and no coughing.

I always use fresh herb. I never take a toke and save the rest for later. The tip is loaded with the amount of herb I intend on fully extracting in one session, over about a minute or less.

For easy hits through the night, I use Pipes Induction Heater either with dry herb or with a concentrate using a concentrate pad. Concentrate is nice because I can load the Vapcap up with enough concentrate for several sessions without the flavor being comprimised. One hit and I'm back to dreamland. No loading, no dumping. Just instant bliss.

Checkout the link below on the method I use for concentrates.

@trfe In my case, on my titanium xl in the little size, I only take 2 tokes ; the first cycle I heat on the bottom third for a tasty hit (8-10sec). On the second cycle I heat on the top third for a dragon hit ! (12-14sec)

I want a dragon hit!

Excited to get one of these bad boys.

I’m torn between a vong and not a vong. If I use it in water sometimes is it worth it to get a vong or should I just get a normal one and add the fat mouthpiece? Curious on your opinion. I’d use it in water maybe once/twice a week.

I like the look of the XL vongs, and it's duel purpose without needing a mouthpiece. So i say its worth it. But I think most have both, lol. If not now, eventually. They grow on you, and weasel their way in, and then your hooked. Better to run away now.

Noob question here. Isn’t a longer cooldown better? Then you don’t have to light it as much right?

The fat mouthpiece works really well. But the NonaVong just drops in there in such a satisfying way......

I assume you mean an all stainless steel M model vs a ti tipped VonG.

Who will be the first to recommend one of each (to start...)
I recommend one of each.... Seriously

But the economical route would be to buy an M and a VonG stem. That way you can switch out the M midsection for the VonG midsection when you're into water.

It depends on what you want. The titanium tips are more nimble, they heat faster and cool down faster. I prefer the ti tips and I get 3 nice mouthpiece per cycle and usually three cycles to finish my small load.

The stainless steel tips take longer to heat and longer to cool. Some people prefer them and they are great for outdoors where it would be subjected to winds and cool temps.

They are all great and the differences are subtle.

Got these beauties out for some well deserved use and maintenance. Took the bottom one (Maccassar Ebony with a Blackwood hot end) out on the deck this evening with my @Pipes Portside IH. It was 73 in 22015 today, so I grilled chicken thighs in jeans, t-shirt and bare feet while sipping on the VC. Oh, and sipping on an Epic Big Bad Baptista  Fuck yeah!

Oh shit. I love that suggestion. The Vong midsection is only $39. So I can have the best of both worlds.

Does anyone have any live edged stash boxes they wish to showoff? Not sure if DV does this regularly for their customers.
