Is the cold weather doing you in too?
To be truthful I have hardly been out since it has been cold. I did start losing a ton of sleep each night in bed though. Low body temp has been one of my symptoms for years. I always wear multiple layers in bed, including a hat and scarf 365 days a year, or else I will lose sleep being too cold at night- even in the summer!

So the cold affects me tht way. When I am especially unerweight in winter I can go all winter just sleeping a few hours per night! Im even wearing my winter coat in bed now, jumper, 3 shirts, 3 socks, long johns and trousers- plus TWO blankets on top of a double duvet!!!

That seems to have done the trick last 3 nights. I scale up and down to be in minimum clothing to not lose sleep cold. CRAZY I know!
And also- we need cold weather, especially at the start of the winter- it kills off all the germs and when itndoesn't get cold enough early on, there will be a LOT more winter illnesses spreading around.

Now, some GOOD NEWS! Just opened a letter from DWP- they have changed their recent decision following my manadtory redconsideration- so that I AM entitled to ESA!

Im waiting on detail confirmation letter, but looks like I dont have to go through the appeals process and have 18 month breathing space to focus on getting well, not on fighting benefits decsions!

So that is a weight off my mind, which I happily share here!
The biggest (and almost only) thing on my mind this monday morning is finding a way to comfortably use the Flowerpot. Have suffered with my chest last 2 days.

I stayed at 550 uncapped last night, keeping draw quite fast. Was getting very good hits but the bowls would take a long time to extract and Im not satisfied Im getting sufficient extraction at this temp. Some ABV:

I really would like to extract a bit quicker. With the Herbo Ti, last time I used it, we kept to setting 5. Clouds were good and effortless, the bowl was extracted quite quick and the ABV was very dark but smooth hits and never roasted. And my chest was a lot more comfortable than the last 2 days when my ABV has been very light in contrast.

I know ABV color is not a sure sign of extraction level, but I do feel I should be able to take it darker in the Flowerpot and still be comfortable chest wise as I was last time with the Ti.

It is also taking a lot of hits and long draws top, to finish loads off. I want to avoid protracted sessions. So I wajt to play around and see how I can tackle this. I may try a higher temp (600-650) uncapped, faster draw.

Have to say I love using the controller! I never saw any instructions, it is my first ever controller, Im not a tech wizard AT ALL, quite a dummy in fact. But...I can use the controller no problems just switching it on, temp up and down! Simple!:)

@Pyr0 I ADORE your Vapestation! I mean, it s like the gold standard for connaiseur cannabis consumption and no unneccesary items.

You have pretty exactly the stuff i drool about and this so clean and organized and so inviting. Even the jar and the scale are perfect.

Just had to say this, hope you enjoy it as much as i like it!

@Hogni & @Alexis so glad you both have the FP and enjoy it, your impressions are very interesting for me, as you also know the Herborizer TI and as you are also from Europe.

This shall not say the other posts here are less interesting, such a great thread and so many tips & tricks that i want a FP just to be a real part of this - the involvement of some members here and the participation of @NewVape710 are priceless.

I think for quite some time about a heavy hitting Desktop (FP / Herbo TI or Sublimator) and it seems that the FP would be my best choice - which is not very nice for my Wallet as i could get the TI for substantialy less money... should be decided this Month :-)

Have a great day and week!

Thanks Doktor for expressing appreciation, and for always sharing your mind so honestly!
Do you have a controller? I guess not. If you did, the FP is not really more expensive than the Herb Ti. Very close depending on how many accessories. You could get the new adjustabowl and a 14 mm male stubby bowl (only $20), and use that with a glass reducer for 2 non sticking bowls.

Some members are not using the enail handle. You could get it at a later date maybe? I guess you will want to get the round stand however?

You can get any bubbler you choose for the FP quite cheap. I got my 2 dhgate rigs forvabout £70 all included, and it sounds promising that Steven will help you avoid customs.
The Herbo Ti is very pricey with the bubbler kits, like €380-400, and this is without the enail attachment, which may not work better than the Showerhead for concentrates? I really can't comment on this though, but certainly factor this into the price- the enail part is extra expense for the Ti, it is essentially free for the SH (and maybe a possibility of future inserts?)

However I feel that we have given a wrong impression and done an unfair dis-service to the Herborizer Ti.
It is nonetheless and outstanding vaporizer and would satisfy anybody,, except if there are better options we will always want more, This Is human nature!

If I have not been so enticed towards the flowerpot by this amazing thread and glowing reports all over the place, then I'm sure I would have been considering buying the Ti again.

But I had to try what I believed would be the better vaporizer to see which of all of the options will work best for me, aiming for the highest.

And I Echo your sentiments about how cool this thread is with so many awesome and cool members giving so much, the energy and the vibe here are fantastic and remain so constantly.
And not to mention @NewVape710 's exceptional active participation level here and solid commitment to constantly evolving the Devices for everybodies happiness!

Like you, I badly wanted to be on the inside of this community and more involved as a user myself.
Good luck Doktor planning your move- cross of the Sub I think- just forget it. See what all the options are for FP and Ti to decide what is best for you. Keep us informed!:)

Alright everyone, hope someone here can help point me in be right direction.

I’m looking for a new vape rig that can handle concentrates as well as flower.

My past experience with Vapes: Have been rocking the pax1-2 and firefly 2 for my flower Vapes, and have been using the gravity by candy pens for my concentrates.

So over the years I have gotten sick of the wax pen Vapes, the quality, consistentcy, and battery life is awful. Which makes me want to have a more of a desktop rig to make sure I’m getting the most for money when I’m dropping $30 a gram for some decent concentrate.

My taste preference: I love flavor, which is why my pax 2 and firefly 2 are my go to flower devices even tho the pax taste like burned popcorn weed haha.

Smoke Preference: To be honest I really enjoy a full oven session of a pax/firefly or a bowl session every hour or so. On the go I utilize my vape pens (concentrate cartridges); therefor I’m really thinking the piece I need would be an at home desktop.

Now my first thoughts were I wanted a volcano; I like the idea of having a bag filled up that I can hit as I do things throughout the house; however after taking a look at the Newvape I have reconsidered.

The problem now, I really know nothing about enails and the bubblers associated.

So my questions: is the Twax by newvape for me? If the twax is for me, what type of setup should I be getting? Or is there something out there that’s better for my situation?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Still dealing with the tail end of my migraine so bear with me. @little maggie I was going to share this via PM but I figure it might be useful for all

I did some testing in a seemingly random order.

Showerhead at 575 and OGFP 16mm at 645 (fairly dark flower as well, but still green)

I vaped five bowls all as two inhales with variances in cap usage

SH no cap- very consistent ABV with little to no green

OGFP no cap- some darker bits and a little bit of green but not terribly inconsistent
main difference between it and the SH was the flavor. Much better on the flavor on the SH but it's
also at a lower temperature

OGFP pre-heated cap- noticeable dark ABV ring through the narrower airpath of the 16mm OGFP overall
overall quite a bit darker than no cap. no green whatsoever

SH pre-heated cap- not really any different than no cap. Not worth the time or hassle to heat up at least at this temp IME. Maybe useful at higher temps to extract quicker?

OGFP cold cap- tiny bit of darker ABV in the airpath but overall a consistent tan ABV. tiniest hints of green

TL: DR IME Don't use the cap at lower temps on the SH and SH has better flavor in comparison to the OGFP. The OGFP is best used with a cold cap on my PID at 645.

I do cap my herb in my SH. Not sure I agree completely with @emmdeemo that capping raises the temp internal to the bowl, but I'm sure he's taken measurements and is correct.

I cap to lower pressure in the bowl and therefore depress the boiling point of the cannabinoids and terpenes. I'm rather in the 'hit me hard over the head like its a Louisville Slugger" camp about vape draws....I'm really not often a sipper.

Cheers

I'd suggest you start with looking at one of our ultimate bundles and customize up or down from there based on your budget. https://www.newvape.com/showerhead-bundle

How.. How do I get that base? D: My order hasn't shipped. I'd buy it right now if it could be tagged on to my current order.

EDIT: emailed their sales email like I should have in the first place. :D

There are a few things to consider. When I found this forum and Newvape I was using concentrate for 90% in a Hercules and I would occasionally put a little herb in my Crafty. So when I joined the FlowerPot club (sounds like something from Andy Pandy for those old UK guys) I got myself the FlowerPot with the wrap around head and a SIC bowl. I loved it and still love it. But the TWAX setup allowed me to now also put in herb so I did and loved it even more. So after a few weeks I had migrated almost completely to herb. Then of course the Showhead came out and all the guys and gals here started raving about it. Now I am mostly using herb and everyone says the ShowerHead is the dogs bollocks when it comes to herb so I got one and yes they are right.

The moral of my story is think about how you think you are going to use it or you will end up bringing all you spare cash to NewVape.

You may have a point about boiling point etc, I'm not entirely convinced I'm using the right words, ever, but my overall point is that capping can increase extraction rate :)

I think the Twax Flowerpot is right up your alley. The flavor rivals both portables you use . It will handle concentrates and flower very well , if you are more of a concentrate user and love the flavor you'd most likely want to go with a setup with a Sic dish off Newvapes site but if you can compromise the Showerhead is the best for flower while doing concentrates really well also , the only downside would be flavor wise as you'd be using your concentrates off a titanium dish as opposed to the sic which can provide a slightly better flavor for concentrates. I took a look on the site and all the rigs they provide should do well with both concentrate and flower as the can size is not to large on any of them so this would come down to you choosing what you think looks best. Flavor for flower would be equally as good using any of the FlowerPot setups they sell. This will really change the game compared to using a wax pen. I have both portables you own and in all honesty a full bowl can be packed but you would get to where you want to be much quicker using the flowerpot so in reality you may not even need a full bowl packing , that is how well it extracts but the bowls can be easily dumped and reloaded with minimal cleaning. I also had a Volcano and the Fp hits way harder and happens to be allot more convenient and easier to use with less maintenance . The FlowerPot can be tailored to hit hard or soft with ease by adjusting temps , grind and breathe control. Your Enail is the device that will control everything and bring the actual vape up to temps. You'd want a Enail , 20mm coil , glass rig of choice , stand , Showerhead or wrap around head and nut and a carb cap along with a coil cover . A handle for the actual enail is not needed but a nice touch and recommended. The starter kit would be a great place to start , i'd go with either the wrap around - https://www.newvape.com/flowerpot-sic-combo-20mm-1 or the Showerhead Combo - https://www.newvape.com/flowerpot-w-showerhead-starter-kit , than pick a piece of glass , it seems allot of members like this one - https://www.newvape.com/12-5-stereo-matrix-rig-9238 , i personally have never tried it but have tried this one and like it allot - https://www.newvape.com/9110 . Also be sure when choosing your bowl size that it is the same as the glass rig you had chosen. I actually had a few friends by over the weekend that all smoke and they were pretty amazed with the flowerpot, the 1st thing they all stated was how incredibly smooth and flavorful it was to use. I think you will really enjoy it , as i have owned many vapes and still do and personally this is the best thing i have tried to this day. Or as @NewVape710 has suggested a ultimate bundle , i did not even see that on the site but you cant go wrong .

We are on the move:

Sporting both bubblers simultanesously earlier. Nice and flexible that way, mix and match. The female bowl isn't sticking at all, and is always cool enough to lift by the bottom at the end of a hit.

First I tried a "big boy" style load, just to see if I was hard enough!
0.1 grams ish. 665 F, I kept pulling until all vapor stopped.

FC-186 milked full. Long draw but vapor dropped right off. Big hit! I could easily vape this way, effect wise excepr for repiratory aggravation.

I just wanted to test out the higher temp one hitter long draw, and to actually see the vapor stop dead at the end!
I was proud to achieve it- quite easy actually.
I could tell right away the temp was going to be too much for my chest.
I dropped down to 600 I think. No vapor on second draw, here is the ABV from 665 one hit extraction:

I went down to 575 to finish last nights bowls off. No cap or preheat, varying draw speed, good hits and flavour.

Going with my gut, I really feel like I should be using the Showercap, at a lower temp- 540-550 maybe.
Even when capped, the draw restriction is so minimal, it doesn't bother me at all compared to other vapes where I see it as an issue.

I was a little concerned that the capped Showerhead might similar to the Omnivap wide open, which kills me with tight suction power.
Nothing like it! Like an 85% more open flow! Up next.

I used to be an all oil guy and the FP w/ SH is the reason why I am 90% flower these days. If I had bought the wrap-around I think I would have been jealous and not truly getting the same flower hits you guys are. Looking back I am glad I got the SH instead of the wrap around. I have other devices to use with concentrates and if I want to use the FP, it tastes better to put the oil on top of the flower.

I'd recommend the SH for those reasons.

@emmdeemo I just came across this piece and thought it may interest you.
https://www.dhgate.com/store/product/9-inch-ccg-straight-glass-water-pipes-with/400548630.html

Edit: Although, just realized it's 14mm so that may be a deal breaker for you.

@emmdeemo Did you see this? Thoughts?

I noticed a couple people mentioned "blow back" a few pages back.
Can someone clarify what's going on there, if it's an issue and what types of pieces would be prone to that effect?

Edit: sorry for the double post.
