I don't always vaporize at the same tempreture because different bud sometimes requires a different heat setting for me. Sometimes I need to vaporize at 6 other times at 6.25 or 6.50. A few strains I even need to go below temp 6. Right now I'm right at 6.

Edit
If I use water filtration it's usually at night before bed. Sometimes pain and sleep needs a higher heat level and water cools down the hot vapor.

I noticed I can use my vaporizers on warmer settings with a dry stem IF I am drinking a hot cup of coffee at the same time

Dont think it's just the moisture from the coffee but also your throat is "up to temperature"

Just a pointless observation I made :sherlock:

@Hjalmark - don't think that is pointless at all, could be very valid. I use dry stem with Nano mostly so I'll pay more attention in the morning. I rather dig the observations that you post, so keep it up!

I've also been digging @ataxian's surfin' stories from the 70's. I can't even imagine free colas but I've been in Northern Cali and I believe it. And the pink surfboard story = too cool! One of the best things about FC imo are the histories and experiences shared in these threads by folks from all walks of life. It goes far beyond vapes, although that's what initially brought me here. It's the people that keep me coming back. :peace:

FREE COLAS were the norm. (WAS)

NANO with GRAPE APE (bought a bunch)

OK it was cheap!

Dear fellow Nano-ites, gather round and listen to my tale of the mighty log that we love:

As you may know, I've only been vaping since mid-July and got both of my vapes at the same time. I mainly played with my Solo2 those first couple of weeks, probably because I thought it was to be my main vape. Of course when I turned my attention to my "back-up", the experience of the Nano swept me off my feet and I've not looked back. I'm mainly at home and the efficiency appeals to me so I'm Mr. Nano.

I'm a medical user for sure but in un-progressive area, so when I see my guy it involves a 45 minute drive, then an hour train journey each way so I tend to go big on the re-up. I'm sure many others can relate to the stupidity of effort required to obtain plant flowers. I've been running dry and my guy's on vacation (d'oh!) so stress sets in but then remembered I had the abv from those first 3 weeks in container set aside. Not a reflection on the Solo2 at all, more my own ignorance but I could tell by colour and smell that abv had quite a bit left to give. I also I had just the tool for the task so I turned my Nano up a titch and wow! I am getting lots of good stuff! Unbelievable just how much, it has saved me until my mate gets home. I'll still have to ration but I am so grateful. Without the Nano, I would be in more pain, with more muscle spasms and with less rest/sleep. Thank you Nano! Thank you Nano thread for all your help!

I'm ambitious high right now.

I'm currently vaping some of my homegrown Bubba Kush through the nano. Love that flavor, and the high is like the backseat of a 1966 Chrysler Imperial. Which were against the rules to use in demolition derbies because of the unfair advantage... don't ya know. :myday:

I am also heating up some Master Wu tincture in my crock pot. Just waiting for it to get to 170F. How important is it to get it up that high? I got it up to 160F so far and I already decarbed. That would be the trim from said Bubba and some Everclear.

I'm also cleaning a bubbler.

Hey Nano Nation. Sorry I have been off this board for awhile, I've been quite busy. Athena and I went to the eclipse festival in Oregon (amazing) and now she is at burning man and probably isn't coming back for awhile. We wish her well in her travels. Nadia had a baby and is now back handling customer service between feedings. We are experiencing a few hiccups with plug ins on the website but should be up to speed shortly. (Go Nadia!)
We got new cords in and they are much more pliable than the old ones! (finally) They are currently on sale with all other accessories thru Labor Day.
Here are some new exotics for this week. I've been having fun filling natural voids with inlays.
Did I miss anything?

Hi Ace - are they visibly different? I ask because the pic of the power cord on the site's accessory store looks a lot like my current cord which was bought some time ago.

While I have your attention (LOL), while not all agree with me, many do...to wit: would love to see some improvement in the power cord assembly.
1. More flexible cord which you seem to have gotten already
2. More weight, or an added weight, to the rheostat assembly so the cord doesn't pull it off of the table. I have mine now wound through a cable management weight to do this.
3. Rheostat to have some greater mechanical resistance to turning. Right now, any slight hit and the temp dial moves. I have a large rubber band over it to keep it in place.

As a hint, both of the mods (cable management and rubber banding the temp dial) came to me from other Enano owners on FC. What I'm saying is, that I'm not the first to have these ideas.

Pic of mine and what I was talking about. Struth, I just don't think owners should have to hunt around for solutions to these prosaic problems...nor do I think the power cord assembly is completely adequate as is due to these issues. Cheers

Hi @ataxian , my friend,

Boy, yeah...after fully warmed up, just a couple of tenths on the dial make a big difference.

So, are you saying you have too much Grape Ape....cause a real friend from CA would help out a real friend from MD...just saying (hahaha...just kidding. Don't send anything, please! LOL).

I use my Nano more than any other vape right now also.

I tend to medicated at night for pain and sedation (cause I can't sleep because of the pain, right) and the Nano is perfect. I can do exactly as much as I wish without wasting any, taste good, great extractor, simple and easy with little to no maintenance. I'm a home vaporist mainly and love my Nano. I love my EVO also, but for day in day out, its the log vape.

Cheers

I guess a pound of COLAS is not permitted by post. (UNCIVILIZED)

Nope, not permitted and VERY uncivilized.

Come to DC to visit. Wait until spring and we will have all sorts of dispensaries open.

I would love to show you and your wife around.

But no, sadly you can't send me a package of Grape Ape no matter how much each would like that to happen! LOL

I have mostly indicas, with hardly any sativas. I would consider a lot of Grape Ape a very good thing. Love Grape Ape.

Sativas give me anxiety. Too racy. I can tolerate some hybrids during the day. I'm good with GSC.

Lately, I've been taking a little nugglet of Bubba Kush and then schmearing a glob of CO2 oil on the side of it. I think the oil is of the Cheese variety.
I then jam it down the hole of my 18mm gong and use Mr. Nano to blast some supercharged vapor through my bubbler. I have been building up quite a tolerance lately and the turbo-charged hits make it feel like I'm getting high again for the first time.

The nano is what I use every day at home. It just kicks ass. I gonna check out those new power cords.

The nano plus some sweet indica buds make the pain of work go away. Reduces stress, decreases joint pain, lowers chance of gout flare-ups, makes asshole people seem less asshole.
Oh, and don't forget

The cords look the same. I'll post a picture and offer them up as an option soon. The rheostat assembly is an off the shelf item. I would like to speck my own but the cost is prohibitive. I did try a new one but the knob resistance turned out to be the same. These do have different knobs (It's a Gibson guitar knob which has preprinted numbers that ironically don't go to 11) As far as added weight a stand does solve that issue. They really make Nano life more civilized. Both the new cords and stands are on sale for labor day. (shameless plug.) I wish I could get the stands cheap enough to include in the package but again the cost is prohibitive in small batches produced locally. Maybe I should source them from China?

Yay for labor day sales.
Had to limit myself and just ordered a pair of Gongs, 1 fixed glass the other adjustable and a back up e-pic. Can't wait to get the Nano back up on the bubbler
Been loving my concentrate stem for late-night bed lock yanks. A dollop of Skywalker rolled in GSC shake and the temp kicked up to 7.5 = :whoa:

Here's the cord assembly that came with my eNano, received just a couple of weeks ago. Based on Ace's description, I'm guessing I have one of the new-style cords. Note how the knob is clear acrylic, the numbers go from 1 to 10, and the index marker is off to the lower left.

I don't suppose you've got an old cord to compare pliability?

I second that about getting a stand for your Enano. It keeps the older style cord from pulling on the nano so it doesn't slide off the table. Plus it looks awesome.
Here's a good pic of the stand. I've posted this before. This is the Cherry stand. I bought it to go with my Cherry nano. I also have a walnut unit.

@CarolKing , @ACE OF VAPE

I do have a stand but I think you are missing the point. Having the cable mang weight that I posted about (or almost anything similar) provides the advantage of taking the weight and strain off of the log and the plug.

Having to pull against the weight of the cord in order to get it into a stand is not really the best answer, IMO, and does not result in strain relief.

I'm letting it go as there are a number of ways to solve this at home, including just epoxying the rheostat to a piece of something (wood, tile, stone....anything to keep it in place and take the strain off of the log).
